Rose Family Farm with fresh cut fries 4 min away. Musselman's Lake is a 6 min drive to enjoy the fabulous Fishbone on the Lake, casual outdoor dining. In nearby Stouffville find Timber Creek Mini Golf, Gallucci Winery, Willow Springs Winery + Tree top trekking at Bruce's Mill. Uxbridge is nearby and a large variety of restaurants and shopping Lots to check out in the area, or simply stay put at The Shack and enjoy cooking a meal on the BBQ in the outdoor kitchen area (propane included) and relaxing by the bonfire (wood included). The Shack is equipped with some cooking items, pots + pans, BBQ and utensils, knives, cutlery, plates, coffee cups, bowls, glasses + (wine glasses) cutting board, tray, kettle and a small chest cooler to keep your food and drinks cold (you will need to bring the ice) Dish washing rack is provided, as well as large jugs of clean potable water for cooking/drinking and doing the dishes. Being avid hikers ourselves, we realize that there are not a lot of accommodations just off the Bruce Trail. So our main goal is to assist hikers as they explore the Bruce Trail. Whether you are doing the ‘end-to-end ‘ in one go (Bravo!), or doing a more relaxed multi day hike, our little bunkie will be a welcome place to lay your head at the end of the day. Our forest bunkie is nestled in the woods, a few minutes walk off the trail, and conveniently located approximately at the half way point of the Caledon Hills section. You truly feel like you are one with nature here. At night you may hear the coyotes howling in the distance or hear the local raccoons out on their nightly stroll. You have complete privacy at the bunkie. However, if you need assistance our home isn’t too far away. Please note that it is an off-grid bunkie…which means no electricity! We do have lamps available in the bunkie, however bringing your own headlamp or flashlight is recommended. There is a cute, private outhouse w/ washbasin. We have an outdoor shower a little ways away from the bunkie site, with hot water. There is a double bed in the loft. The pull out couch on the main level also can be converted to a double bed. There is no running water at bunkie, however we will have some potable water provided. You will be met upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE: *There is a strict NO fire rule anywhere on the property. *There is a hill (w/some forest stairs) that you will have to navigate to get to bunkie site. Mono Mills is 6 minutes away w/ Starbucks, Tim Hortons, gas stations, pizza. Hockley Village is 7 minutes away, with the must visit Hockley Valley General Store. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails. Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. We had a wonderful stay and absolutely loved this farm! The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and generous. They responded to every request, shared fresh vegetables and fruit from their garden with us, and made us feel right at home. There was a clean shower, a toilet, and fresh water available, making our stay very comfortable. They have a beautiful campfire area, and they kindly agreed to spend the evening with us so we could get to know each other better. We really enjoyed our conversation and appreciated the time they shared with us. The property is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is stunning, the gardens are most beautiful, the buildings are full of character, and you can see the creativity and love that have gone into every detail. We could even see a bit of Lake Ontario from our camper! What impressed us most was the hosts' creativity, craftsmanship, and ingenuity. Everywhere you look, you can see the results of their imagination, hard work, and attention to detail. It's truly inspiring to see people their age creating, building, inventing, and improving things with such energy and enthusiasm. They are a wonderful example for younger generations. Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm and your incredible hospitality with us. We left with wonderful memories and hope to come back again!

It is a beautiful private quiet campgound near the river. As a woman solo camper I felt safe. I didnt see any animals, but dealt with a ton of mosquitos. Its part of camping in the woods by a river. The owner Marcin is very friendly. When I got there, he showed me around. And I was able to pick whatever campsite I wanted. Everyone went home for the weekend. And I was there during the week, so it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely go back maybe next year. Its a tiny beach, not too far from my campsite. The campsites don't have power. The shower isn't very far from campsite 1. It took me a few minutes to walk there.

Very relaxing! A nice spot to camp for the night. The site was private, and there was a portable toilet available close to the site, the picnic table and fire pit were nice, and it was a cute view of the farm.

Beautiful and isolated with forests and rolling hills. Plenty of wildlife around from big to small. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an isolated getaway that's still in close proximity to the city.

We spent a night here as part of a bikepacking trip in the area. The farm was easy to find, had a great space for camping, and we appreciated the fact there was clean water, washrooms, a shower, and power outlets. The views were great and we had a lovely night by the fire. Thanks again, Renee!

Absolutely amazing property and even more amazing hosts! They truly thought of everything to make the stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. You could show up with practically nothing, and between everything they provide and the town down the road, you would be more than fine. We had a group of 4 so we booked both sites and no matter which you pick, you’ll have a cute, cozy and comfortable stay! The highlight for my friends was the hot tub, but I personally loved the sauna and outdoor shower the most. Truly a unique and magical experience to have a long hot shower while looking up at the trees and sky. A lovely summer experience, can’t wait to see what it’s like in the winter!!

Nestled right next to the river, the campground is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Marcin and his wife were incredibly friendly, nice, and inviting. They keep both the sites and the facilities spotless and tidy, and they went out of their way to accommodate every request we had. The campsites back directly onto the river and are only a short walk from the beach. They also sell dry, high-quality hardwood, a huge improvement over the moldy, damp wood you often get at provincial parks. Another big plus is that they allow several families to share the same site, making it a much better option for group camping than the provincial parks. Just a couple of practical tips: bring mosquito repellent, as you’re camping by the water, and pack for cooler, damper nights thanks to the river effect. We would definitely book with Marcin again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and family-friendly riverside getaway.
