It is approximately a 25 minute drive to the Basin Lake Access Point of Algonquin Provincial Park and just minutes away from the Killaloe, Hagarty, Richards Township boat launch in the village of Round Lake Centre . Bonnechere Provincial Park, Foy Provincial Park and Cheryl Boyle Park are 2-4 kms away, where sandy beaches and excellent swimming can be enjoyed on pristine Round Lake. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets at these locations provide the perfect beginning and end to your days. Bring your camera!! Fall brings a whole new dimension to this picturesque community nestled in the Upper Ottawa Valley. The fall foliage, with all its splendor during September and October, offers many opportunities for the camera buff or hiker. The cabin is set on 100 plus acres of private, mostly forested land and has a beaver pond that creates habitat for many different species of birds and wildlife. The Bunk House cabin can sleep six guests, with 2 single bunk beds and one single bunk over double bed. The kitchen area is complete with dishes, drink ware, pots, pans, utensils, toaster and coffee pot. A propane BBQ is also made available to our guests. The kitchen comes equipped with a 4 burner propane stove with an oven. A two burner camping stove can also be made available. A wood fired, air tight fireplace for warmth on those cooler nights, provides both comfort and ambiance (wood is provided). Please note: guests must bring their own bedding/sleeping bag/pillow as we do not provide that. The cabin is solar powered with a back up gasoline generator. An outdoor fire pit with seating is close by, as well as an outhouse. Walking trails along the beaver pond and property are maintained for your hiking pleasure. Weekend Trip to The Cabin - Cozy Rustic Retreat

We stayed in cabin 2 for one night. Kris was very welcoming when we arrived and was very helpful with showing us everything we needed to know. There was a fire ban but we still enjoyed the peace and quiet time. The cabin was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We definitely enjoyed our moms night away in this little place of heaven. Thank you Dan and Chris.

We had such a lovely time here! It was so quiet, and surrounded by beautiful ravens. There was even one that kept saying hello! The cabin was clean and not buggy. The outhouse was well maintained. They even provide a tent area outside the cabin so we could eat without getting attacked by bees. Such a lovely property, very close by some beaches, small towns and really cool antique shops! The hosts were so warm and friendly. I think our only suggestion would be to bring a foam mattress for the loft bed, as it's a very thin matt to sleep on. We're not in our 20s anymore, and definitely needed a thicker bed! Would definitely recommend this rental. It's quiet, private, relaxing and exactly what we needed. 5/5!

From the time we arrived at the cabin, I readily told myself that I should have booked a longer stay. We loved the cabin and the facilities at the site. The site was also near provincial and municipal parks for all the activities you want to engage in. The site is also not so far from a big town where you can get anything you need. Even the instructions and tips given upon booking were so thorough that I didn't need to clarify anything. The owner was also very responsive and accommodating. We definitely recommend this place.

The host was awesome — gave us a tour of the property and shared some of its history, which was a nice touch. The place is cozy, private, and well set up. There's a BBQ and a large custom smoker, perfect for outdoor cooking. Although it's off-grid, the host has solar batteries and a generator, so power was never an issue. We really loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Limerick Lake Camping

We loved the bunkhouse- the bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was close by the marina and there were some people coming and going to access paddle boards, kayaks etc but we still felt it was pretty private. It was great to sit on the dock and fish or have a coffee and watch the bird life around the lake. We appreciated the view and clean outhouses that were close by. Hosts were very hospitable, kind and responsive. We will be returning!

We really enjoyed relaxing here and the paddle boat was a huge bonus. We found a little beach spot across the lake and met a lot of the locals at this spot which was nice.

Clean! Very clean and well maintained area. Host replies quickly. Lots of fire wood available. Area was nice and quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a quiet get away. Town is close enough you can pop in and grab a morning coffee and there is a few great swimming locations close by (by car) as well. We had a great stay and would love to visit again.

Weekend Trip to Limerick Lake Camping

Beautiful spot and great hosts! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a cabin. It was all you would need for 2 people. Originally booked the “Boathouse;” but accepted the cabin. The “Boathouse” is absolutely gorgeous. We will stay there next time! You will definitely need your camping supplies for it though. Very basic; with bed, table and cozy chairs. Maybe a “hideaway bed” ( but not sure). Small propane barbecue and a fire pit outside. My wife and I give it a 4 out of 5; but only because I caught no fish! Rent a boat, or canoe, etc.
