Raw materials certainly wouldn’t be an issue, located in the middle of a forest. The crews worked all day turning trees into logs. Soon enough those logs were being hauled from the mill and up a gentle slope to the proposed location of the new bunkhouse. A few years later, the Kettle Valley Railway would arrive, and the mill and freshly built bunkhouse would take on additional roles. It served as a water stop for the steam engines that pulled the passing trains. Enterprising mill workers would even sell some of the large fish they pulled from the lake to the dining carts. These were the formative years Chute Lake Lodge. Cabins have been added and in the 1980s, the central lodge building nearly doubled in size. The restaurant was added with lodge rooms above. The railway that ran directly in front was converted into one of the best cycling paths in the province.

It is approx. 30min off of Hwy 1. 15 min from a full grocery store with liquor, full service restaurants, bowling alley and mini golf and 5 min from corner stores and a winery with the golf courses being 15 or 30 min away. There are numerous hiking trails, gorgeous waterfalls and beaches within an hours drive by car or boat. There is lots of exploring to do in the area. The cabin was cute and cozy, with a warm indoor stove to keep the place warm. Lots of space with one mains bed and two small beds up top. We were there in October and we had the area to ourselves which was great, but it seemed the camping spot and Teepee were quite close to the cabin.

Better than advertise. The Kevin was new and clean. The wood stove kept us very warm and toasty. The firepit was well stocked with cedar cut offs . Hot pool was extremely relaxing and had a great vibe. We added a canoe to our trip and fished Gardom Lake. Excellent experience, we'll be back !

Wow, what a beautiful, tranquil spot this is. The trailer has everything you need for a comfortable stay, inside and out, with several different chill out area options. The views of the lake are just gorgeous, from sunrise to sunset, and the stars at night were incredible. Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake! Quiet dirt roads were great for walks. I honestly should have booked for longer. Already looking forward to our next stay. Brock is a great host. :)

We really enjoyed Darcy’s cabin. It was simple, quaint and so peaceful. The outdoor shower was awesome and the pit toilet was clean and not smelly. The supplied propane fire ring made the atmosphere cozy as there was a fire ban. The views were lovely. As Aussies, we’d remind other campers that cutlery and glassware is not supplied- but this did not take away from our experience at all!

They greeted us with a smile and were incredibly accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. The resort itself is a perfect blend of peaceful nature and fun amenities. Our site was spacious and private, nestled among beautiful, tall trees, providing a serene escape after a day of adventure. The facilities are top-notch and impeccably clean, from the well-maintained washrooms to the sparkling pool. The kids were entertained for hours with the mini-golf, playground, and pickleball court, while we enjoyed relaxing by the campfire at our site. The on-site store is a lifesaver, offering a fantastic selection of ice cream and other treats. What we love most is the fantastic location. It feels secluded and tranquil, yet it's just a short drive to the beautiful Shuswap Lake and the town of Salmon Arm, with its charming downtown, great restaurants, and access to a wealth of outdoor activities. We spent our days exploring local hiking trails and relaxing at the beach, knowing we had a cozy and welcoming campsite to return to. This is a special spot! So peaceful, and the perfect getaway. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, amazing coffee and a nice tea selection, and the snacks were such a treat!! The bed was quite comfortable, and we thoroughly appreciated the variety of pillows as we’ve got different firmness preferences. Early morning walks with the pup around the property while the sun rose was bliss :) We cannot wait to return!

We loved staying on Denise and Korys property and getting to stay in Periwinkle was absolutely fantastic. They are incredible hosts and the property is large with plenty of tree coverage for those hot days and a beautiful beach right at your toes. We had our dog Rundle out who couldn’t have been happier to sleep in the shade and swim every day. Lots to do and see in the area that’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!

We loved our stay! The site was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Everything matched the photos, and the hosts really thought of all the little details. The AC worked perfectly, and they kindly provided a gas firebowl since there was a fire ban in effect. Just note that the hot tub won’t be available during fire bans, as it’s connected to the way it’s heated. The outdoor shower was a highlight, it made the experience even more unique. One important tip: follow the driving directions exactly as provided, otherwise it’s very easy to get lost. Overall, a wonderful spot that we’d happily return to!

Cozy place to sleep, beautiful view, and nice warm shower a bit of a walk away. Some shade around the picnic table from the morning sun would be a nice addition
