We left the city to be closer to nature and like minded folks who help us be our best every day! We found it in Golden, BC.
Our three rentals are part of the Moonraker Mountain trail system. With over 100 km of biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and ski trails, you can enjoy amazing Canyon Creek views or swimming in warm spring fed lakes. Just step outside your door! The only problem is it can be difficult to pull yourself away from the simple stillness and connection you feel while just sitting at the treehouse or off grid cabins. Isn't life wonderful?

Welcome to Goonieland. We are an off-grid Permaculture farm perched on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. We are conveniently located between Yoho and Glacier National Parks, 20 minutes from Golden BC. The sauna campground is in a meadow above our farm with mountain views and creeks nearby.
The purpose of Goonieland is to learn, practice and teach permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and natural law, while moving towards sovereignty, intentional community, and ecosystem restoration.
We open our land to our fellow freedom fighters and folks walking the road toward a regenerative future and self-responsibility. We have two tenting sites, a glampervan, a glamping bell tents (on Airbnb), with a shared wood-fired sauna!

The forest bunkies were very modern .....well built and comfy. We really enjoyed our stay there!!! The community bathrooms were amazing and the hot tub was an additional bonus!! The morning coffee and treats were a real bonus too :)

We had such a lovely stay! Claire was very responsive. All of the directions to manage the treehouse were clearly outlined and the treehouse looked exactly like the photos! Absolutely phenomenal experience. Claire provided clear, thoughtful, and detailed instructions and information every step of the way, from our questions prior to booking, to the instruction booklets on site that ensured a stress free stay. The property itself was very easy to find and navigate, and the treehouse was absolutely magical. You can feel the love and care that the hosts have put into the property in every detail, and we felt as though they covered every aspect of comfort we could possibly ask for, providing plenty of wood, blankets, and simple, but much appriciated amentities. The treehouse is also within comfortable walking distance from the parking area but is still private, which allows for the most breathtaking and scerene viewing of the mountains and birds in the area. I can't say that I have ever stayed somewhere that has compared to this, and would easily choose this experience over any luxury hotel, even considering our snowy morning. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night, and would definitely recommend booking two or more nights so you can take advantage of the hiking trails and appreciate it too it's full extent!!

It was amazing! Comfy beds, warm and cozy space. Even though the highway is close, inside we couldn’t hear any traffic from outside :)
We would suggest some sort of lamp/light fixture in each bunk. Otherwise everything was perfect :)

The tent was a good size (for the 2 people it was booked for), the projector was top quality and a really good addition. Ended up watching a film and some tv to fall asleep to, which was great.
The tent and bed were clean, and the utensils were sufficient for our short (3 day) stay.
As someone who doesn't camp often, I was impressed with how inoffensive the smell of a composting toilet was.
Only slight issue is that the water in the hot tub was a bit green, but appreciate that this may be caused by the water supply!
Overall a great stay, and if im back in West Canada, id definitely stay again

I love the GlamperVan! We only stayed the night as we were passing through but I could see myself spending more time here someday. Nicole was incredibly communicative and easy to chat with. Dane, the campground manager was super friendly and helpful too which was fantastic. The place was easy to find from Golden, and once we were on the property it wasn’t hard to follow the signs to the van. The campsite was already set up for us when we arrived and had everything we could possibly need for the stay. Yes, there were lots of mosquitos but you have to expect bugs in the woods! Just a fantastic stay and a great place to get away! Thank you for having us!

The forest bunkie was a perfect mix between hotel and camping. AC, electricity and sophisticated security all inside a beautiful cabin with bunk beds, custom wood furniture and a mini wood stove. It smelled amazing, just like the woodsy forest that surrounded it. Also, showers, toilets and laundry super close by.
Lastly and best of all, they welcomed my doggie with treats, poop bags and dishware !
I wish could have stayed longer!

This was a highlight of our trip to Canada. The views are simply stunning, the outdoor shower with a view was gorgeous, the portable toilet was clean and the supplied cookware was everything we needed.
