We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. We are excited you are coming to enjoy the Shuswap and all it has to offer. We want to make sure you have an enjoyable time at our place and want to make sure you are prepared for your stay.
Just a couple of important things to note.
1. Renters will need to bring all of your bedding including pillows. (There are coin operated laundry facilities on site)
2. You will also need to bring your own towels, there are some dish clothes and tea towels available in the park model for your use.
3. A propane tank will be available for use and there is a gas station where you can get it filled up for use of the BBQ and firepit should it run out.
4. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes and such you should need including some basic spices for cooking. There is a grocery store just a couple minutes away that can cover all of your needs including a liquor store, and a deli.
5. If you have any questions about the park or concerns with your rental please contact us directly as this is a private rental the park office will not be able to help you.

We are privileged to permanently reside on and be the stewards of 7 acres beside Shuswap Lake, Okanagan BC, in the unceded territory of the Sechwepmec peoples. We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share.
Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires.
We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. Facilities on the campsite will be shared with a max. of 4 persons at any one time during the open season this year. We will be available on site, via text or in person to answer questions or meet any needs you may have. Most basic needs are provided, just bring your cooler of food and your set!

The fridge, heater, and other core trailer systems run on propane, so they work quietly and reliably without needing much generator time.

just a bit to know about the rental
We are excited you are coming to enjoy the Shuswap and all it has to offer. We want to make sure you have an enjoyable time at our place and want to make sure you are prepared for your stay.
Just a couple of important things to note.
1. Renters will need to bring all of your bedding including pillows. (There are coin operated laundry facilities on site)
2. You will also need to bring your own towels, there are some dish clothes and tea towels available in the park model for your use.
3. A propane tank will be available for use and there is a gas station where you can get it filled up for use of the BBQ and firepit should it run out.
4. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes and such you should need including some basic spices for cooking. There is a grocery store just a couple minutes away that can cover all of your needs including a liquor store, and a deli.
5. If you have any questions about the park or concerns with your rental please contact us directly as this is a private rental the park office will not be able to help you.
6. A separate message will be sent that shows the park rules for your Information.

We have two sites that can hold up to four guests each. Pets are welcome. Nearby lakeside attractions include Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park and Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial Park
The property has a firepit with provided firewood, and an outhouse. The 2 fully serviced Rv's have running water, power and kitchen & bathroom facilities. Flat parking is available. For those bringing an RV, the pull-in site can accommodate up to 40 feet in length. There are no hookups, and generators are not allowed.

We had a fabulous stay at the cabin. We loved how everything was milled and built by the owners. It was clean, quiet and so peaceful. We definitely plan to return. The hot pool was HUGE and had a great view of the stars at night. We came prepared with coolers full of ice, cooking utensils and made use of the provided bbq. There was a large fire pit and wood provided, although we ran out of time to have a fire. We enjoyed the wood stove heating and rustic nostalgic feeling.
The outdoor shower and outdoor washroom were clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and our son loved his space in the upper loft. We appreciate it is pet friendly, although this trip we left our dogs with a sitter :)
This is a little piece of heaven!

My husband and I booked 2 nights to get away from Kelowna. This will now be a yearly trip for us. The property is stunning. The home is so cozy and has everything you need. Old CDs and DVDs brought back moments of nostalgia. The river side hot tub and cold dip is a dream come true. We also enjoyed the walking trails and the horses on the property. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. There is also a store 5 min down the road if you need anything. We are so happy to have found this place. Peter and Renske are great hosts! Such an amazing property that they live on. We had a lovely weekend there with our dog, and 2 cats. The highlight of our stay was definitely the riverside hot tub, it was incredible and a very unique experience. Would love to stay here again in the summer and go swimming in the natural swimming pool!

We had an amazing stay over the New Year and absolutely loved this place. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive, and the tour of the guesthouse and property was a great touch.
The property is stunning and the guesthouse was larger than expected, which was a lovely surprise. The wood fireplace created the coziest vibe, but the real highlight was the wood-fired hot tub — tucked into the forest beside the rushing river, surrounded by fairy lights and total quiet. Cold dipping in the river and then warming back up in the tub was pure magic!
Meeting the horses and dogs was also a bonus, and the location is the perfect balance of feeling remote while still being close to town. We’d happily return and highly recommend this place to anyone!
