RV/tent site · Sleeps 8 · Vehicles under 14 mPort Macquarie's hidden gem! This is a large flat grassy campsite with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River, which runs into Port Macquarie's main Hastings River. This site can accommodate any type of set up (e.g. tent, camper van, camp trailer, caravan, motorhome). Whilst a large site, please utilise sites 8, 9 and 10 for group bookings (if they booked out you may be able to fit smaller groups on this site but please contact us to check the size of your group and set ups first before booking this site). All campsites are set back from the river but you are welcome to set up an additional retreat by the bank or under the shady trees for the duration of your stay (e.g. a separate gazebo and/or enclosed fire pit). There is also plenty of space to tie your boat up in the river adjacent to your campsite, but please use designated trails down the bank to preserve it. Car driving access to site is very good with gravel road access. Friendly pets welcome.
During your farm stay, pat, feed and cuddle many of the working farm animals including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, mini horses, cows, guinea pigs, rabbits, and cats (there is always a newborn of some kind!). Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW school holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.
Take one of our kayaks out for a paddle, cast a line (BYO rod), or launch your boat from our personal natural boat ramp into the saltwater Maria River, known for catching beaut’ mud crabs and flatheads (if you have a fishing / boating license). We have some bait available to purchase, and paddles and life jackets to borrow.
By night, warm your toes by your own private firepit in the evenings as you gaze at the stars and roast a marshmallow.
An absolute interactive delight for both kids and adults that will leave everyone begging to stay longer!
The holiday township of Port Macquarie is a quick 13/15-minute drive away, famous for the stunning beaches, coastal scenery, koala hospital and good surf. Local well known 'Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries' is also just around the corner.
