Description
Camping at Mount Greylock State Reservation is a primitive backpacking experience that will make you feel like you’re in charge of the mountain. Accessible only by hiking a 2.5 mile (strenuous) or 1.5 mile (moderate) trail, your site will have all the amenities you need and puts you smack dab in the middle of Massachusetts' highest peak. Bring your crew of up to 12 to one of the group campsites or reserve one of the first-come, first-served trailside shelters if you wanna really put some miles under your feet. Mount Greylock is ready for ya.

Excellent campground. Go in the shoulder season before the road opens. You'll have the whole campground to yourself. The sites are set pretty far apart though - it wouldn't be that bad later in the year. Site #11 is epic. Uphill on the right there are at least two more excellent campsites. Great hike up from the parking area next to the farm.
