Secluded Forest Yurt Near the Best of Southern Vermont The Property & Location: Our yurt is set on a private 40+ acre forested property in Southern Vermont, offering true seclusion without sacrificing easy access to vibrant towns, outdoor recreation, and cultural life. Despite the quiet, you’re remarkably close to everything: just 10 minutes to Putney, 15 minutes to Brattleboro, 10 minutes to the highway on easy, well-maintained roads, 2.5 hours from Boston, 3.5 hours from New York City, and only 1 hour from Bradley International Airport. Southern Vermont is known for its creative energy and community-centered culture. Nearby towns offer excellent restaurants, music venues, galleries, and events, including Brattleboro’s Gallery Walk nights, Putney’s beloved Bandwagon Summer Series, and a year-round calendar of arts and live music. Outdoor recreation begins right outside the yurt door. In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing on quiet forest roads and trails. The property features a curated, boutique 18-hole disc golf course, and gravel biking can be done directly from the property. Nearby, you’ll find hiking trails, swimming holes, and paddling opportunities. During winter months, you’re less than an hour from some of Vermont’s most loved ski areas, including Magic Mountain, Mount Snow, Stratton, and Stowe—not to mention Brattleboro's own hidden gem, where ski access is only $5.
