Had a great 2 night stay at Ryan and Tara’s Hipcamp. Well kept bush toilet and showers and spread out enough to have privacy even with other sites booked. Great trip 🥰

Great stay not far from Brisbane

Great spot not too far from Brisbane! As the description says, you definitely need a 4WD with low range, but it is well worth the effort. The host, Ryan, and his family were incredibly accommodating. My friends and I stayed for two nights (Friday to Sunday). There were a couple of other campers around while we were there, but everyone is well spaced out. Having access to the toilet and shower facilities was a great bonus. I highly recommend visiting during winter—light up a fire, sit back, and relax. Reception is minimal, which made it the perfect place to disconnect from technology for the weekend. Only minutes drive to Palmwoods, Montville.

This was my first Hipcamp stay and I had the best time! Site 5 was awesome and felt super private. I loved how quiet it was and how well maintained the sites and facilities were. Looking forward to staying here again! Thanks Ryan & Tara! :)

Lovely spot super close to Montville. The little FWD track in and out was fun. We had site 5, it was more private and was flattened out even though it was on a hill, which the kiddos absolutely loved playing on and rolling down. The place was beautiful and peaceful and sites 1,2,3 has a nice open meadow with a tree swing and frolicking access to the little creak. Was great they have firewood on site for sale too as we run out after the first night. Also the bush loo wasn't even gross. Well maintained. We had a great time and the kiddos had a ball 😊

We had a wonderful 10 days camping in this serene spot . Such a bonus to have hot water shower and toilet. Ryan was a fantastic host and was only to happy to is help out . Great location with easy access to beaches and the hinterland and away from busy campgrounds. 4WD definitely required especially when the weather changes.

Great spacious campsite (we chose site 3) with fire pits at all sites, the dog loved the big open grass area (for lots of ball chasing). The track in was an adventure... glad we have done a bit of 4wding before, so this was fine. The serenity was great, tall trees and bird song. Would 100% stay again.

Great location, beautiful place and really sensible amenities. The track is in really fun (and fine!) Goats and chickens great welcoming crew. It rained all night and the rainforest sounds and morning birds were just wonderful. No complaints at all, we’ll be back for sure!

The site was well maintained and had a warm welcome from the accomodating locals (goats and chickens). The host Ryan and Tara were very helpful in explaining the campsite and the navigation through out. Cheers Hunchy Hills!

Had a lovely stay Hunchy Hills Bush Camp. It was our second time back there and will definitely return again. Nice and spacious with only limited spots so not jammed in like sardines. Pet friendly which is also a bonus.

We stayed for 2 nights at site 4. Nice and private. 4WD Low to get up the steep hill to it. So much fun. The photos of the hill up to site 4 don't really show how steep it is. It's really quite steep and needed a slow run up, but my old 07 Navara tackled it nicely and we used the other track which is even steeper to go down. I didn't dare try go up that side lol. Down is fine though. Site 4 is perfect, so private, fire pit and a 2nd swing away fireplace with hot plate. Didn't even use the gas cooker the first night. Perfect flat section where we set up the double swag under our 3x3 gazebo and plenty of room for tables and chairs in front of the fire. Shower and toilet were fine for a quick wash. We have a portaloo so the wife was good but you will need to drive down to the toilet unless your fit enough to walk back up the hill to site 4. Afternoon was perfect with the sun off to our left side. Morning sun was great too, we had plenty of shade with the gazebo. If you want a private spot where no-one is looking at you while camping, this is the spot. I'd stay here again. If we brought the kids we would definetly stay at one of the other sites. A lot more kid friendly down the hill. Thanks Ryan & Tara, we loved your piece of paradise. Thanks for sharing.

Great 4WD access site, decent sized clearing among the canopy leaving plenty of space between pitches. Super friendly hosts and great DIY toilet and shower. Overall, fantastic experience and superb value for money.

Beautiful rainforest and quiet location with only one other camper - over Easter this is rare and we loved having only two other sites in the big area! Lovely large grassed area for the kids to run and play. Awesome to have dogs there also. Owner Ryan was lovely and friendly. Toilet and shower was clean and a bonus to have. Site 1 is large and flat, enough room for our 3 families and nicely positioned. However, it is not good in the rain as it is bare dirt with dense clay soil that water pools on. The site didn't drain well at all in the one arvo of showers - turning the site to mud. It did dry the next day. Large ground sheets are a must. Sites 2 and 3 had more surrounding grass and looked like they would drain better. They are smaller sites as not as flat.
