Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Fantastic spot and great amenities! Such a lovely place to be. Surrounded by nature, but also close enough to Monteville, Maleny and surrounds. The camping spot was clean, lush and well taken care of. Shower and toilet were great! Will be back.

The best stay

We had an amazing stay at Ryan & Tara’s Campsite. Such lovely hosts with an incredible open space. A must if you have a 4WD. We had so much fun having some campfires and just enjoying the nature and peace that’s around. The toilets and showers are well kept and we would definitely recommend to anyone.

Ryan and Tara's hipcamp was a wonderful hide away. The signage, site map, prior communications was all super helpful. Definitely understand it is a 4x4 track but what awaits at the bottom is a manicured lawn set up for camping and isnt over crowded which is very considerate of them. Thank you for a peaceful stay 🙏

Had a great stay at Ryan’s camping site! The grounds were clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Ryan was super friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature—highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice outdoor getaway without all the usual noise of overpopulated campsites. Cheers guys. Will definitely be back!

Site 1 - Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

The area was really well maintained and there was enough space between sites that you still had plenty of privacy. Sites 1, 2 and 3 would be great for a group as there is a great communal fire pit, and plenty of area for the kids or pets to run around. The goats and the chickens at the entry to the property were very friendly and lots of fun for the kids. Not too far out of town if you need supplies or a cute cafe/ restaurant. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We will be back for sure!!

Fantastic camping adventure!

We highly recommend camping at Hutchy Hills! The owners are friendly and helpful. The campsites are spacious and surrounded by both open grasslands for playing and dense scrublands for a diverse range of activities. The swing and slippery slide are an added bonus. But we don’t recommend taking anything larger than a 16ft hybrid caravan as the track is steep and tight and we only just made it!

Ryan is an incredible host — friendly, welcoming, and always up for a good chat. His property is absolutely beautiful, offering peace, quiet, and stunning views. At night the stars are just breathtaking, and having access to a clean toilet and shower made the trip so comfortable and enjoyable. The highlights for my son were definitely the slip and slide and cruising around in the ATV — he had an absolute blast! It’s such a great spot for families to relax, unwind, and create fun memories together. Highly recommend Ryan’s place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

A beautiful little spot tucked away between palmwoods and montville. The perfect little spot for a small family or just someone wanting to get Away. The sites were kept great and firewood was available at the entrance. Couldn’t ask for a better spot! Thanks guys

We loved our stay, however wasn't fully prepared for how steep site 4's drive up really was! Walking down to the bathroom wasn't the easiest, but worth it for the elevated views and secluded vibe of the site! Goats and chickens on entry were super cute and friendly. Shower water didn't heat up for us but wasn't the end of the world. Thanks for an amazing trip.

Hunchy Hills Bush Camp was the perfect off-grid escape! The site was private, quiet, and surrounded by gorgeous native bushland. Facilities were super clean and eco-friendly, and the whole property felt really well cared for. Great spot for anyone wanting to disconnect and soak up nature. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Ryan met us on arrival and explained the place to us. We had the place to ourselves on a Wednesday. Beautiful spot that is well maintained. Site 3 gets the sun in the morning where the others don't. It would be a great site for three families as it has a communal fire pit area, swing, slide/pool and large grassed paddock in the middle. Definitely need a 4x4 to get in/out. Great campsite!

Great Spot. Loads of space between sites, fire pit at each site and firewood for sale if you need. Was greeted on arrival by the chickens and goats, nice quiet place and clean facilities. Will be back sometime soon.
