Private use of the 22.2 hectares of farm, forest and river frontage. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet and shower. Relax, nurture, unwind and nurture one's soul at The Nest. Revitalize in the tranquil Australian flora with river views and access. Kayak, canoe, SUP Board, or fishing. Stroll to the banks of the Shoalhaven river, wander the trails, birdwatch, or climb Pulpit Rock. Whether you're into painting, sketching or photography, this is an artist's retreat. Our property is a 30-minute drive to beautiful Berry, Jervis Bay, Hyams Beach, Gerroa, Kangaroo Valley and Milton. There are many varied beautiful walking tracks here in the Shoalhaven. Firstly, an intermediate walk is just off Bamarang Road to Pulpit Rock which overlooks the Shoalhaven River and Bundanon. Ben's Walk, Hanging Rock, Nowra, The Grotto, Bomaderry, Jervis Bay National Park, Greenfield Beach, Wirreecoo Walking Trail & camp; Mangrove boardwalk, Huskisson, Cunjurong Point, Gerroa to Kiama cliffside trail, Pigeon House Mountain, Boyd Lookout, Morton National Park. WATER IS PRECIOUS 💧💙 NOTE: Drive to road conditions at all times as Bamarang Road is a dirt road. Well maintained but has been subjected to severe rainfall with some infrastructure being repaired by local roadworks. Google can assist in this matter. The Bell Tent, to the north east of the camp site, is an extra for shelter if required by camper's. Enjoy the serenity of the Shoalhaven river, climb Pulpit Rock. We loved camping at Barbs place. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and swims in the beautiful Shoalhaven River. Barb was great to communicate with. We would love to return again. Thanks Barb.

River flats with greenest softest grass you have ever wiggled your toes in! It’s time to roam around barefoot & connect with the ground…. Nearby river bank with sandy shore to wade out on , space to picnic under the trees, birdwatching, stargazing & even s’mores on the evening fire. Pretty relaxing.

We absolutely loved staying on Barb’s land! It’s incredibly beautiful view of water, the surrounding landscape. Lots of kangaroos, birds, friendly goats. And Barb was very nice and accommodating for us. Highly recommend staying here :)

Beautiful area, far away from highways. We were the only campers on the land, which made the experience even better. In the morning we saw many kangaroos, so worth waking up early! Unfortunately there was a fire band during our stay, but there was a very nice fire pits on the property. Recommend bringing some misquote spray during the summer for the flies.

I almost don't want to leave a review because this place is so good I want to keep it to myself! However it was such a lovely location, easy to book and had everything we wanted- privacy, space, beautiful scenery, allowed fires and was just the perfect place to kick back and relax!

Bamarang Camp @ The Nest Cottage
My partner and I chose this option as it was advertised as a place of tranquility and relaxation, with private use of 22 hectares. Unfortunately, the listing did not mention that there were other accommodation lodgings on the property, so you did not really have private use of the area, with others coming and going. Being situated so close to the lodgings also made it feel like you were in someone's backyard. The area was nicely maintained and flat with lush grass and pretty farm views, but it being situated with full view from the surrounding properties at not too great a distance left us feeling exposed. The proximity to the pig peg was a bit challenging due to the animal husbandry in practice... we were woken multiple times by sows screaming from male partner persistence. The piglet was gorgeous though. We went for a beautiful walk down to the river front which was so scenic and also where camping was previously allowed. We would definitely want to come back if we were able to camp privately down in that area as it was away from the noise and view of other lodgings. That would have definitely been worth $200 for 3 nights. In the end the broken sleep from the pigs throughout the night left us leaving after 2 nights.

Beautiful property and surroundings. Amazing local wildlife. A short walk to the shoalhaven river . Barb kindly let me drive down to launch my small dinghy. Beautifully cleared camp spot and fire pit. Lit a fire and enjoyed the stars . Loved the pigs ! Hilarious. A fabulous stay. Highly recommended.

The Nest is a beautiful location and well kept piece of land. The location is brilliant. You could spend the day at the camp-site and river or drive (10mins) to Norwra or (25mins) to Berry. It was great being the only campers on site. Toilet and hot shower were easy to access for a little extra cost. Would love to visit again in the future! Thank you Barb

Bamarang Camp @ The Nest Cottage
Although we had some challenges (our 4wd broke down), this is a great spot for caravans and camping. Great level spot, some cute pigs and various other wildlife, plenty of kangaroos and ducks! Barb was a tremendous host and made us feel very welcome. We loved the access to the river for the kayaks with some very pleasant areas along the river.
