Big Bell Farm Camp
Our stay at Big bell farm was great!
Our host Yvonne was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had.
The kids absolutely loved the creek aswell!

The piece of land was super simple. The views were amazing of the mountains and the morning parade of kangaroos was enchanting and brought smiles to our faces . The flys did drive us nuts whether that was due to being so close to the creek or the herd of cows I don’t know but even with cintronella and deet it was hard to be outside for long. Good for a night in a camper but not more.

Lovely site next to a bubbling river let with frogs and resident wombat. Very responsive and kind hosts. Lovely spot for a camper and tent

Big Bell Farm Camp
When we booked this site we thought $95 was expensive for a site with zero amenities. However, we needed to be within half an hours drive of a wedding venue and this was all that was available considering we booked late.
Positives: the site is close to Kangaroo Valley, just a very short drive. It’s quite a pretty site with a large tree and a creek running through it. The sound of the water flowing at night is pleasant. The hosts were friendly, communicative, and amenable.
Negatives: the site is right on the road, privacy is non existant. The first image in the listing is quite misleading because it looks like you’ll be in a large field, but actually it’s just a triangle of grass next to the road. Even the pictures of the actual site crop the road out. It’s so close that even though we put our shower tent as far from the road as possible, when my partner stepped out of it with a towel wrapped around him, cars were honking… There is no mention on the listing that the area is surrounded by an electric fence. Whilst there is a sign, because it was high on the tree (and the listing says you can walk your dog along the creek), it didn’t occur to me that it also ran low along the side of the creek. Our dog got shocked which was quite traumatic, and I would have been way more vigilant if I’d known.
With the negatives in mind, and given the lack of amenities, the $95 a night price point seems ridiculous; $30 is more realistic. Do not recommend for those with dogs or children.

Big Bell Farm Camp
Has a sign on gate to assist locating the paddock which we find helpful. Very convenient to Kanagroo Valley township and wonderful views in this area of the surrounding hills. Good level area and enough space to throw a ball atound or frusbee. Was recently slashed and also featured pleasant sounds from the creek running by very close to the camp area. Overall very satisfied with our stay here.

Overall the site was perfect for our stop over in Kangaroo Valley. Our stop was booked last minute and the hosts were very accomodating in helping us find the site. (We came from a different direction and got a little lost!)
The site is what it says, you need to be 100% self efficient.
Plus sides:
Lovely little bubbling creek in the field. Lovely sound to fall asleep too!
Very private, we shared only with one other camper family.
Beautiful views of the hills and morning mists.
Only 4km from Kangaroo Valley Village.
Not so plus sides:
A few Mozzies due to the creek and lots of flies from the cows.
The campsite is a little field on the side of a road, the road is quiet at night however there is morning traffic.
Expensive At $100+ a night it was a lot more than other sites with more amenities/offerings etc.
Overall I would recommend and stay again when passing through as all types of accommodation is expensive in the area, but only as a stop over, plus it’s great for convenience if travelling with a four pawed friend!

This grassy area was a lovely spot to spend a few days. The river that runs next to the campsite is great and we spent a lot of time sitting there cooling off.
It is next to a road, though this is barely used at night so we had no trouble with noise then and during the day didn't really notice it too much.

Big Bell Farm Camp
Good stay in small field. Close to town & activities. Our kids really enjoyed being so close to the creek & swimming. Firepit was a highlight too, as wood was plentiful. Loved having the farm animals around. Would have been better if we knew we were right next to a road.

Wonderful stay and open areas to roam around on the farm. The visit to the creek was a really exhilarating experience. The cabins are very comfortable and cosy. Loved the amenities provided. Our puppy Bruno made a lovely friend with their dog Mia 🐕. We also setup our camping tent and enjoyed stargazing into the night. Would love to come back again very soon.
