Self contained caravans welcome Drive straight in from Finn road, park in the paddock when you arrive. Children and dogs must have 100% supervision Birds on Chook Island can be very noisy. CHILDREN must be supervised AT ALL TIMES. Please drive very slowly, especially early in the morning and in the evening. Pets must be kept on a leash. Lake Preston has a limestone shore, and access is via a limestone track in front of our house. You can paddle your canoe or kayak, or simply enjoy a walk. Please note, the lake is very salty. Some great nearby spots to visit include the Crooked Carrot Café, Old Coast Road Brewery, Vineyard 28, and Footprints Café at Preston Beach. Both Myalup Beach and Preston Beach offer fishing spots and are dog-friendly. Arrival and exit is up to you Bookings are taken up to 1 month in advance. We have invested monies earnt back into the sites by way of all-weather tracks, fire pits and irrigation for the warmer months which also helps to mitigate the risk and impact of bushfires. The Northern half of the property is a combination of pasture and native trees, while the Southern half is native bush and seasonal wetlands. Guests are welcome to roam the entire property with the exception of the owner's residence and sheds. Prohibited areas including neighbouring properties will be signposted.

Secluded and very quiet with abundant birdlife and the occasional kangaroo, emu and echidna's passing through. Pet kookaburras - will eat out of your hand and steal from the BBQ. Located at the base of Logue Brook dam wall, where a short walk makes all water facilities available, plus trout and marron when in season. Adjacent to the Munda Bidi trail, with cycle paths running in every direction. Not to defray the natural environment, only lovers of wild life and serenity are welcome, so no Ghetto blasters or party animals. Laughing, singing, dancing and joking, actively encouraged! Tents, camper vans, small caravans with good drivers and trailers only. PLEASE NOTE: Weeknights require a minimum of 3 nights stay. Weekends 2 nights minimum. Weekend Trip to Dougy's Den

We loved camping at Dougy’s Den. This secluded spot has so much to offer. It’s very peaceful and quiet and the stream running through was great for cooling down in the hot afternoons. The shower and toilet are definitely a bonus. We easily fitted two caravans on the site. The site’s close proximity to Loguebrook Dam is great. We spent a couple of hours up there each day swimming. Graeme is a terrific host and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you want some time to relax and unwind.

After searching for a quiet spot away from other people for us and the dogs, hubby and I found the absolute perfect spot for a chill getaway. Extremely private with the just sounds of nature to calm the soul. Only a short walk to the dam for the dogs to have a good swim too. We loved it. Graeme was the perfect host and even brought us the paper in the morning. Thank you for letting us stay, you might just see us again xx

Dougys den is a beautiful retreat tucked away in an idyllic part of the world. The little creek that runs all year round is full of life such as little frogs and butterflies, the sunlight peaks through the canopy top gracefully in the morning providing a great retreat with no other humans enjoying bliss quietness. The location is brilliant, no more than 400m from the dam wall, there’s a toilet facility, running tap With non potable water and a rustic shelter, complete with a fire pit and table and chairs, overall a beautiful retreat :)

A great weekend away to Lake Preston Lime Paddock with Max...the Kelpie His first trip away in a year. It's only an hour away and great for kids and well behaved dogs. You need to have your own facilities. Lots of things to explore and close to some beaches.

Dougy's Den is a magical little spot to camp. Beautiful surroundings with tall trees, ferns and babbling brook. Flushing toilet and cold shower, table and chairs under a gazebo. Dougy's Den is a well thought out site and Graeme is a top bloke. Will definitely be back!

It was lovely and quiet and spacious. My grandchildren enjoyed the airplanes and vintage cars and boats and freedom. Knowing they were safe to play made it enjoyable for us and there parents. Seeing and hearing the wildlife was a bonus. The stars at night are amazing. We recommend this site and will definitely go back.

Such a quaint place. I haven't stayed anywhere like it before but we will certainly be back. So many things to look at, and lots of space for the kids to run around. Green and lush, well maintained gardens, 2 toilets available too which was good. Worth the visit 100%

This is a beautiful private spot, and a lovely host. Flushing toilet, hose, outside shower, patio roof, Graeme kindly supplied fire wood as well. I would highly recommend this location and look forward to visiting in the summer.
