The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring

Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles.
The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce.

Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush.
There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :)
Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter.
Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions).

Sandalwood Downs Toodyay operates as a farm stay and has been in high demand for several years now. After years of traveller's requesting caravan and tents sites, Marc and Jane are excited to announce as of March 2024 we now offering 11 caravan/camping/tent sites.
With only 11 unpowered sites spread out over 100 acres, you are guaranteed privacy for you and your family and friends.
3 clean instant portable toilets.
A refreshing cold bush shower is available on site.
The farm also features a fantastic communal area for fellow traveller's to meet, chat, have a few drinks, sit by the amazing fire pit (during winter months), have a BBQ.
The farm features many beautiful hand raised farm animals such as, camels, cows, miniature goats, donkeys, alpacas, lambs, deer, a pig, emus, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, geese, rabbits, chooks and peacocks.
Spend some time strolling the stunning walk trails and taking in the amazing views on the property,

-The property is only 45 minutes from Midland and 7 minutes from the wonderful town of Toodyay.
RULES AND GUILDELINES.
While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety.
YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US:
- No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding.
- No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area.
- Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals.
-Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm.
- No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment,
-Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests.
-If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues.
-No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free.
-You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area).
-Please take away all rubbish.
-No big party groups.
-Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours.
-Check out of campsite by 11 am please.
-If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped.
- Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc.
-As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals.
-You approach all animals at your own risk
-Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc.
-Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely.
-You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us.
-Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. The front gate will be locked at 6pm for security reasons and will not unlocked till morning.

Camp up in our bushland, with beautiful views of farmland. Enjoy sitting by the campfire, going on a bushwalk or riding your bicycle around the paddocks on dirt tracks. In the spring, there will be beautiful wildflowers to see, in the winter you will be able to walk through our creeks.
TO BRING
Please be self-contained with water and rubbish, however we do have Sheoak and Jam tree logs that you can collect for firewood and a compost toilet. Also please bring insect repellent, the spring can coincide with lots of mosquitos and flies.
If you would like to bring your own firewood, you can buy some at the Bindoon roadhouse on the way. If you need access to drinking water and waste removal, there are facilities available at nearby caravan parks, such as Goomalling or Wongan Hills. We also provide non-potable water near the compost toilet for you to use for showers.
ARRIVAL
We are located in between Goomalling and Calingiri. Qualin farm sign in angled towards the Goomalling side, so could be difficult to see if driving from Calingiri. Drive slowly on approach of the driveway entry, as it on a corner. At the end of the driveway we have an information board to assist you in finding your spot as well as signs. If you need any help and would like to be welcomed to your spot, please let us know.
PHONE RECEPTION
During your drive, there can be limited phone reception, however, all campsites have some reception from most phone providers. If you do not have reception at the end of the driveway and need assistance, simply drive up the gravel road to the top of the hill (a right turn from the shed).
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Bindoon bakehouse or Toodyay bakery are great places to stop for a snack or lunch on your drive from Perth. Both locations are approximately 1 hour from our farm. Bindoon also has established free mountain biking trails.
New Norcia is an interesting historical town with museums, galleries and tours. It is a 40 minute drive from our farm.
Goomalling has a lovely coffee shop called Lot 39 store and cafe. It is open weekdays and the bakery is open weekends.

Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily.
Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times).
There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites.
There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing.
Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along.

We love all animals here at Nanga River Retreat and we'd love for you to bring yours along (Remember to book our pet friendly site – ‘River Camp’, and dont forget to bring your little yellow bags please). We also enjoy an abundance of wildlife traffic through the property.
We would love to see all the Witches, Wiccans, and other Weirdos out there, we encourage you to book in for a spell. (pun intended) You'll fit right in. 🧙♀️
We invite discreet devotees of herbs, and mushrooms, to visit for a while, you will absolutely love it here, with privacy you just cannot get at the park 🤙
Come and find yourself, or maybe lose yourself, down by the river in Dwellingup, forest getaways dont get much better.
Please Note;
Loud drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, and rude misconduct will lead to eviction without refund, and reporting to Hipcamp.
Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads and any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp.
So folks we'd like to maintain a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding.
A small advice for those bringing children, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules.
Feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs.
Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool!

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space and wellness event venue, situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region.
There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and family dogs on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite.
THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY.
The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
Our communal BBQ area is now open with a gas BBQ, picnic table and sink. We suggest bringing your own cooker, kettle, esky, etc, Bringing your own drinking water is a must, as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam.
We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open cooking flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa pig and our goats will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

One Green Sheep is a 500 acre working farm north of Bindoon, Western Australia, with beautiful breakaways and valleys, patches of natural vegetation and old stand trees in amongst pockets of cropped land. We are just over an hour from Perth at the very north end of the Darling Range with enormous starry night skies.
My husband Kim and I have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability in our every day lifestyle and care for the land. Over the last 12 years or so we have planted almost 79,000 trees and shrubs successfully establishing wildlife corridors right across the property. We now also have 20 artificial nest tubes to support the Carnabys black cockatoos who return each August to breed. Our intention is to leave the land in a better state than when we first came here and we now want to share the wonderful environment with others, providing a place to get away and recharge as well as get excited about nature and all its wonders.
In line with our environmental focus, we ask campers to Leave No Trace. This means you will need to have your own toilet facilities with you, you will need to take all your rubbish away with you and leave your car parked for the duration of your stay. As fallen timber is precious habit for small creatures (it’s not firewood!) you will need to purchase firewood from us for your stay. Please note that due to the Perth area now being in the Polyphagus Shothole Borer quarantine area you are no longer be able to bring firewood with you from the city. This is to safeguard our precious site and the surrounding bush. (Please get in touch with us if you aren't coming from Perth).
Dogs are welcome but please keep them with you and don’t let them chase stock or wildlife. You are welcome to bring push bikes (or ebikes), or to explore on foot, but motorbikes are not permitted.
We’d love to welcome you to this wonderful ecosystem. You will be camping in an area natural bush that feels a million miles from the city.
We are open from 1 June to 30 September each year, the months when campfires are permitted.

68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this isolated pocket.
We have five sites available. Four for self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Shed Pad, has power available and an optional private bathroom.
Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region.
Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of our five campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
Shed Pad
Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with an optional private bathroom. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents.
It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

The 100-acre property is situated amongst state and pine forests, and the parkland setting features over 50 different tree varieties, creating a beautiful place to stay at any time of year.
Lewana is the ideal base to explore the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas, including Donnybrook, Nannup, and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries, there’s plenty to enjoy during your stay. Experience nature by walking part of the Bibbulmun Track, cycling a section of the Mundi Bibbi Track, or kayaking on the Blackwood River from historic Wrights Bridge.

The farm ground campsites are for those who are looking to escape with no power, no water and no facilities and little mobile coverage if you are not with Telstra. Campers need to be fully self contained.
We are a biodynamic winery and farm, our vines were already established when we purchased the land just over 3 years ago and some of the first planted in the region. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community.
We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine.
PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water.
Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

This is a lovely, quiet property just a 4-minute drive to Mundaring Village. We’re within walking distance of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail.
We love to share our property with those that are looking for a quiet self contained get away, we are not a caravan park — bring your bicycles and join the track in Sawyers Valley. Head east to connect with the Kep Track or continue to Mount Helena and Lake Leschenaultia, or ride west down the hill to Bellevue.
Black Cockatoo Reserve, a naturally beautiful bushwalk, is only a 5-minute stroll away. It’s also an easy drive to several charming hills pubs, including Mount Helena Tavern, Mundaring Hotel, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Mahogany Inn, and Hemingway's. Wonderful cafés are located within a short walk, cycle, or drive.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. We have free-ranging chickens and horses in the paddocks, so dogs must be kept under control around these animals. Pets are welcome to stay, provided they are respectful of all our animals. Our very friendly Kelpie, Millie, will be happy to make friends! All our pets are well-fed and cared for — please don’t feed them without checking with us first.

We are located 18km west of Perenjori, which is approximately 350 kilometres north of Perth and 40 kilometres south-east of Morawa. The property is a working farm, we grow Wheat, Canola, Barley, Lupins and Oats. We run a Sheep Stud, predominantly Merino, Poll Merino, Dorset's and White Suffolk's.
It's a very busy on the farm but we would like to share part of it for a few months of the year when it looks lovely and green with wonderful wildflowers and wildlife.
Stop in for a quick stopover or stay for a few days and take in the highlights of the Midwest.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply.
Sit back in the evenings relaxing to the crackling sounds of the campfire (please note you will need to bring wood with you). Enjoy the wildflowers, bush walks or pop into town and enjoy a friendly coffee.
The region is a photographer's paradise. Go for a bushwalk and marvel at the big sky country. We are part of the Wildflower Way, a tourist drive that runs from Dalwallinu to Geraldton. Late August to October is the wildflower season and depending upon the season the countryside may be alive with flowers including orchids, carpets of white, pink and yellow everlastings and the unique wreath leschenaultia (found on the property). Don't forget your camera!
This is a working farm, if you have a pet please keep them on a leash as there are many farm animals located nearby.

THE DEPT - DPIRD - Agriculture - has advised us to stop campers bringing wood onto our property due to the outbreak of the SHOT HOLE BORER. It would be devastating if this dreadful bug should come this far. We appreciate your co-operation.
Pinegrove is a small property of 107 acres nestled in the forest away from traffic and suburbia, 14 kilometers off the Brookton Highway.
We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep work and dog trialing, which is Ivan's sport . It's a natural bush block with cleared areas.
We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect.
We ask that campers do not use the bush as a toilet please, this is not acceptable and please do not empty caravan toilets on any part of our property please. There is a toilet in the shed at the Homestead or please bring a portable toilet,
We do have to limit the use of the toilet if our water supply runs low as we depend on rainwater for all our needs.
We appreciate campers to be self contained if possible.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, they should be on a lead if coming anywhere near the sheep or Homestead please.
There are no swimming spots at our place but there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away.
Brookton has a very good Hotel in town called the Bedford Arms which has a great reputation for their meals - you won't go away hungry !
There is plenty to see and do in the area such as Boyagin Rock you can climb, we are only 30 minutes from Brookton, 40 minutes from Beverley and about 45 minutes from York. You are also welcome to watch host Ivan training the sheepdogs!

We are small farmers, with 120 acres. We grow wheat and oats, have some sheep and cows. The cows are very friendly and love to come and see what you are doing.
There is a small creek running threw the middle of our property and 2 farm dams. Drummonds nature reserve is not far away and has 2 clay pan wetlands and some unusual native flowers.
Our camp site is nestled amongst the wandoo and York gum trees near a small winter creek. There is classic wheatbelt cropping happening in the surrounding paddocks.
There is a large flat area to pitch your tent or park your van. In winter there is green grass and as the seasons change so do the colours of the landscape.

Gorgeous farm with great facilities,
And Marc and Jane (and the dogs!) were great hosts.
The sites feel very secluded and peaceful.
Starting the day by waking up to see various animals roaming the fields, then a farm tour and ending it toasting marshmallows on the communal camp fire was perfect. Our kids (5 and 8) didn’t want to leave. And neither did we. We will definitely return!

We had 4 very excited young children who loved playing in the Creek and making lots of noise, it was their firdt time camping under the stars away from home. Derrin was friendly, welcoming and communicated clearly from the start, meeting us at the gate and showing us to our site.

Evergreen Bush Stayz is an awesome camping spot that is great value for money. Mark is an exceptional host, he helped us back our caravan into our spot and checked in with us to see if there was anything he could do for us.
Being so close to the metro area it's great for a quick getaway. With power, water, firewood and toilets included it's hard to beat for $48 per night. It's also a great base to explore Bindoon and it's surrounds.
Will definitely be back.

Made to feel welcome upon arrival, taken to our spot to set up and given the run down. The serenity was brilliant, totally inviting and a great night had by all. Had our van parked in (Ground 4) kids in swags x 3 and Koala Pod for Mother. It was fab, firewood provided was a great bonus also to keep us warm and cookup the locally bought butcher meat, chilli sausages were the bomb.
Thanks Mark, what a treasure of a spot you have.

Site 6 was amazing! Right on the river with plenty of space, making it a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There was also a great balance of sun for the solar panels and plenty of shade when you wanted to get out of the heat.
The only downside was some background noise from the nearby mine. It wasn’t loud enough to put us off staying here again, but you definitely notice just how peaceful and quiet the site is when the mine stops!
Overall, a fantastic site and one we’d happily stay at again. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Murry River Camping for 3 nights. 1st timers in our caravan. Left track coming in is wide and coming back out we used the same track. The other was too tight in bits for our 22.6ft caravan. We stayed site 1. Only needed to level up a small amount on our levellers. Easy enough. Tsite q is dirt but we had perfect sunny weather. The river was below us and our dog loved it there. The blue wren and his group of lady wrens were lovely to see around our camp. A lovely relaxing area. Able to fit 2 caravans 3 probably not
