Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles.
The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce.

Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush.
There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :)
Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter.
Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions).

Sandalwood Downs Toodyay operates as a farm stay and has been in high demand for several years now. After years of traveller's requesting caravan and tents sites, Marc and Jane are excited to announce as of March 2024 we now offering 11 caravan/camping/tent sites.
With only 11 unpowered sites spread out over 100 acres, you are guaranteed privacy for you and your family and friends.
3 clean instant portable toilets.
A refreshing cold bush shower is available on site.
The farm also features a fantastic communal area for fellow traveller's to meet, chat, have a few drinks, sit by the amazing fire pit (during winter months), have a BBQ.
The farm features many beautiful hand raised farm animals such as, camels, cows, miniature goats, donkeys, alpacas, lambs, deer, a pig, emus, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, geese, rabbits, chooks and peacocks.
Spend some time strolling the stunning walk trails and taking in the amazing views on the property,

RULES AND GUILDELINES.
While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety.
YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US:
- No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding.
- No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area.
- Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals.
-Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm.
- No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment,
-Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests.
-If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues.
-No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free.
-You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area).
-Please take away all rubbish.
-No big party groups.
-Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours.
-Check out of campsite by 11 am please.
-If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped.
- Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc.
-As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals.
-You approach all animals at your own risk
-Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc.
-Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely.
-You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us.
-Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. The front gate will be locked at 6pm for security reasons and will not unlocked till morning.

Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily.
Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times).
There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites.
There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing.
Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along.

There are horses and Scottish Highland cattle that usually greet you near the main entrance, and sheep and cattle graze the hill country and surrounds.
Plenty more for nature lovers here, including red-tailed cockatoos that flock to the gully to feed on the Marri trees, plus many other birds.
The resident Wedge-tail eagles soar above making the most of the thermals created from the hills and the local kangaroos
Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm.

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space and wellness event venue, situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region.
There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and family dogs on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite.
THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY.
The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
Our communal BBQ area is now open with a gas BBQ, picnic table and sink. We suggest bringing your own cooker, kettle, esky, etc, Bringing your own drinking water is a must, as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam.
We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open cooking flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa pig and our goats will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

We are a biodynamic winery and farm, our vines were already established when we purchased the land just over 3 years ago and some of the first planted in the region. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community.
We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine.
PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water.
Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp.
So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding.
A small advice for those bringing children, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules.
One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs.
Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool!

We are located 18km west of Perenjori, which is approximately 350 kilometres north of Perth and 40 kilometres south-east of Morawa. The property is a working farm, we grow Wheat, Canola, Barley, Lupins and Oats. We run a Sheep Stud, predominantly Merino, Poll Merino, Dorset's and White Suffolk's.
It's a very busy on the farm but we would like to share part of it for a few months of the year when it looks lovely and green with wonderful wildflowers and wildlife.
Stop in for a quick stopover or stay for a few days and take in the highlights of the Midwest.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply.
Sit back in the evenings relaxing to the crackling sounds of the campfire (please note you will need to bring wood with you). Enjoy the wildflowers, bush walks or pop into town and enjoy a friendly coffee.
The region is a photographer's paradise. Go for a bushwalk and marvel at the big sky country. We are part of the Wildflower Way, a tourist drive that runs from Dalwallinu to Geraldton. Late August to October is the wildflower season and depending upon the season the countryside may be alive with flowers including orchids, carpets of white, pink and yellow everlastings and the unique wreath leschenaultia (found on the property). Don't forget your camera!

With only two private campsites and our cosy little retro caravan, Kermit, this is a place to slow down, relax and enjoy nature. Whether you're travelling with a ten/rooftop tent, a small caravan/campervan or simply looking for a quiet getaway, you'll find plenty of space and a warm welcome.
The towering karri trees of Boranup Forest are just a couple of minutes away by car (or a pleasant walk), making this an ideal base for exploring the forest, nearby caves, world-class wineries and the beautiful beaches of the South West.
After a day exploring, return to your campsite, light a cosy campfire during the cooler months (when conditions and fire regulations allow), listen to the birds settling in for the evening and enjoy the peaceful surroundings beneath the stars if weather permits.
One of the things our guests love most is that well-behaved dogs are welcome off lead, giving them the freedom to enjoy the open space with you. We simply ask owners to ensure their dogs are friendly, under control and respectful of wildlife and other guests. The Boranup Cafe, and Art Gallery are just a stroll away from the Campsites and Dinner options are the nearby towns of Witchcliffe or Karridale or the option of a take away from the Boranup Cafe (microwave available).
Our shared hot shower and Flushable toilet are clean and simple, and with only two private sites you'll rarely feel crowded.

68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this isolated pocket.
We have five sites available. Four for self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Shed Pad, has power available and an optional private bathroom.
Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region.
Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of our five campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
Shed Pad
Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with an optional private bathroom. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents.
It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

The property features paddocks shaded by large, lemon-scented gum trees and a grassy orchard filled with citrus, stone fruit, and nut trees.
This is a lovely, quiet property just a 4-minute drive to Mundaring Village. We’re within walking distance of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail.
We love to share our property with those that are looking for a quiet self contained get away, we are not a caravan park — bring your bicycles and join the track in Sawyers Valley. Head east to connect with the Kep Track or continue to Mount Helena and Lake Leschenaultia, or ride west down the hill to Bellevue.
Black Cockatoo Reserve, a naturally beautiful bushwalk, is only a 5-minute stroll away. It’s also an easy drive to several charming hills pubs, including Mount Helena Tavern, Mundaring Hotel, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Mahogany Inn, and Hemingway's. Wonderful cafés are located within a short walk, cycle, or drive.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. We have free-ranging chickens and horses in the paddocks, so dogs must be kept under control around these animals. Pets are welcome to stay, provided they are respectful of all our animals. Our very friendly Kelpie, Millie, will be happy to make friends! All our pets are well-fed and cared for — please don’t feed them without checking with us first.

Stay on a working small mixed farm just out of Tammin, where sustainability is a priority and the environment is valued. For this reason, we only allow a very limited number of visitors at any one time.
We're not far from town, so you can bring your tennis racquets and have a free hit on the hardcourts (even at night), or bring your bikes, especially the kids so they can ride around on farm tracks. Plus there are wonderful playgrounds in nearby Cunderdin and Kellerberrin.
Tammin is central to almost everything in the Wheatbelt and this year there are some great events happening nearby. Checkout the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre for a rundown of what is on where. The Wheatbelt is now well serviced with RV dumps (closest 10kms) and EV Charging at Northam and Merredin.
The A Class Charles Gardner Reserve is just up the road and you can always find something special flowering throughout the year. In August and September the wildflowers are out and it's especially beautiful.
We have a small fish farm on-site so you can arrange a tour, or if available, fresh fish for dinner. Currently we don't have any but you can ask Fred about his Metal workshop and see some of his artwork around the property.
We have sheep and guard alpacas. If you want to meet them or the alpacas up close and personal (across the fence). Let us know and we'll arrange it! ***
We also have a small mob of Red PollxDexter cattle. They live behind the only Electric fence on the property. We'll remind you about it when we greet you.
This year the Merino ewes that we breed for wool will start lambing from around May 7th. Around this time, we don't usually allow any dogs to visit. If you are thinking of bringing your dog at any time please check with us first.

One Green Sheep is a 500 acre working farm north of Bindoon, Western Australia, with beautiful breakaways and valleys, patches of natural vegetation and old stand trees in amongst pockets of cropped land. We are just over an hour from Perth at the very north end of the Darling Range with enormous starry night skies.
My husband Kim and I have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability in our every day lifestyle and care for the land. Over the last 10 years or so we have planted almost 67,000 trees and shrubs successfully establishing wildlife corridors right across the property. We now also have 20 artificial nest tubes to support the Carnabys black cockatoos who return each August to breed. Our intention is to leave the land in a better state than when we first came here and we now want to share the wonderful environment with others, providing a place to get away and recharge as well as get excited about nature and all its wonders.
In line with our environmental focus, we ask campers to Leave No Trace. This means you will need to have your own toilet facilities with you, you will need to take all your rubbish away with you and leave your car parked for the duration of your stay. As fallen timber is precious habit for small creatures (it’s not firewood!) you will need to purchase firewood from us for your stay. Please note that due to the Perth area now being in the Polyphagus Shothole Borer quarantine area you are no longer be able to bring firewood with you from the city. This is to safeguard our precious site and the surrounding bush. (Please get in touch with us if you aren't coming from Perth).
Dogs are welcome but please keep them with you and don’t let them chase stock or wildlife. You are welcome to bring push bikes, or to explore on foot.
We’d love to welcome you to this wonderful ecosystem. You will be camping in an area natural bush that feels a million miles from the city.

Camp up in our bushland, with beautiful views of farmland. Enjoy sitting by the campfire, going on a bushwalk or riding your bicycle around the paddocks on dirt tracks. In the spring, there will be beautiful wildflowers to see, in the winter you will be able to walk through our creeks.
TO BRING
Please be self-contained with water and rubbish, however we do have Sheoak and Jam tree logs that you can collect for firewood and a compost toilet. Also please bring insect repellent, the spring can coincide with lots of mosquitos and flies.
If you would like to bring your own firewood, you can buy some at the Bindoon roadhouse on the way. If you need access to drinking water and waste removal, there are facilities available at nearby caravan parks, such as Goomalling or Wongan Hills. We also provide non-potable water near the compost toilet for you to use for showers.
ARRIVAL
We are located in between Goomalling and Calingiri. Qualin farm sign in angled towards the Goomalling side, so could be difficult to see if driving from Calingiri. Drive slowly on approach of the driveway entry, as it on a corner. At the end of the driveway we have an information board to assist you in finding your spot as well as signs. If you need any help and would like to be welcomed to your spot, please let us know.
PHONE RECEPTION
During your drive, there can be limited phone reception, however, all campsites have some reception from most phone providers. If you do not have reception at the end of the driveway and need assistance, simply drive up the gravel road to the top of the hill (a right turn from the shed).
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Bindoon bakehouse or Toodyay bakery are great places to stop for a snack or lunch on your drive from Perth. Both locations are approximately 1 hour from our farm. Bindoon also has established free mountain biking trails.
New Norcia is an interesting historical town with museums, galleries and tours. It is a 40 minute drive from our farm.
Goomalling has a lovely coffee shop called Lot 39 store and cafe. It is open weekdays and the bakery is open weekends.

This is a parkland area, with both trees and open areas. It does have quite a bit of wildlife as in Kangaroos, possums and bird life. This camping area is a couple of km's (walking distance) to state forest with The Munda bindi bike trail and Bibbulmun walking track.
Campfires permitted within local regulations - not over summer.
Please do not drive around the block as there are other campers. Stick to the tracks. If you want to 4x4, there is state forest up the end of the road.
Pets welcome but please ask prior to booking as we have livestock. Must be kept on a lead when approved by host.
There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace.
If you are looking for a real rural experience with beautiful forest to wake up in this is the place. Close enough to Donnybrook if you need it but hidden away as
well.

is a town situated between Boyanup and Kirup on the South Western Highway, 210 kilometres south of Perth.

We had amazing views from the top of the hill. My daughter absolutely loved the animal feeding part of our stay. We even had a visit from the cows and camels while we cooked our dinner. The owners are a lovely couple with an amazing property. We will be back as its now my daughter favourite camp spot.

Just spent a relaxing few days tent camping at Lemmy House Farm. The directions were easy to follow and Michael met us at the gate and got us settled in. There was only one other family there, so our spot in the orchard was quiet and secluded. Particular highlights for the kids were feeding the horse, chats around the fire pit and hanging out with Millie the dog!

We loved this weekend. The farm and experience was so worth it. The tour is well and truly worth it, the hosts are lovely and the animals are hand reared so super friendly and what an experience. The communal fire pit came with chairs and cushions and marshmallows to roast and a super clean bbq. The toilets were clean and the view....

We had a lovely weekend camping at Lemmey House Farm. Michael made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and Milly the dog was a firm favourite with our kids. The Sheep shed site was huge, in a beautiful setting and the fire pit and swing were a great addition. Our kids also loved feeding the horse carrots. We can’t recommend Sandalwood Downs Farm Stay highly enough! We stayed with family and friends in our caravans on Site 11, which had spectacular views and was the perfect spot for our large group.
The kids loved the animal feeding tour and roasting marshmallows at the communal fire pit. The property is beautiful, with friendly animals roaming around, and the hosts made us feel so welcome throughout our stay.
We had an amazing weekend and will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay at Glenice and Fred's farm. We had the place to ourselves as the only campers, but it's spaced out enough you'd have a secluded time.
Amenities were fantastic. Great hot shower in winter was a treat. Ample supply of firewood and eggs from the chooks.
Glenice and Fred were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Glenice showed our kids (2 and 4) their pet sheep and alpacas and some food for feeding them.
Overall, it is definitely be a place we would be back!
