Sandalwood Downs Toodyay operates as a farm stay and has been in high demand for several years now. After years of traveller's requesting caravan and tents sites, Marc and Jane are excited to announce as of March 2024 we now offering 11 caravan/camping/tent sites.
With only 11 unpowered sites spread out over 100 acres, you are guaranteed privacy for you and your family and friends.
3 clean instant portable toilets.
A refreshing cold bush shower is available on site.
The farm also features a fantastic communal area for fellow traveller's to meet, chat, have a few drinks, sit by the amazing fire pit (during winter months), have a BBQ.
The farm features many beautiful hand raised farm animals such as, camels, cows, miniature goats, donkeys, alpacas, lambs, deer, a pig, emus, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, geese, rabbits, chooks and peacocks.
Spend some time strolling the stunning walk trails and taking in the amazing views on the property,

NO INDIVIDUAL CAMP FIRES ALLOWED. Due to guest, animal and property safety. Guest breaking this rule will be asked to leave the property.
The Julimar Forest is conveniently located just 2kms away.
The fabulous township of Toodyay is only 8 minutes away.

-The property is 100 acres of beautiful tranquility. Perfect for a family getaway or a romantic couple experience. Not suitable for large noisy party groups.
-The property is only 45 minutes from Midland and 7 minutes from the wonderful town of Toodyay.
RULES AND GUILDELINES.
While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety.
YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US:
- No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding.
- No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area.
- Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals.
-Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm.
- No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment,
-Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests.
-If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues.
-No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free.
-You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area).
-Please take away all rubbish.
-No big party groups.
-Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours.
-Check out of campsite by 11 am please.
-If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped.
- Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc.
-As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals.
-You approach all animals at your own risk
-Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc.
-Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely.
-You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us.
-Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. The front gate will be locked at 6pm for security reasons and will not unlocked till morning.

We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk.
Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush.
There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :)
Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter.
Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions).
We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

The farm ground campsites are for those who are looking to escape with no power, no water and no facilities and little mobile coverage if you are not with Telstra. Campers need to be fully self contained.
We are a biodynamic winery and farm, our vines were already established when we purchased the land just over 3 years ago and some of the first planted in the region. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community.
We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine.
PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water.
Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily.
Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times).
There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites.
There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing.
Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along.

Our estate is set on 100 hectres of land, with 60 hectres growing 16 different grape varieties.
We have 3 camp sites along our dam and 1 set in bushland (SEE CAMPING GUIDELINES BELOW).
As we are a fully functional vineyard we CAN NOT accept children for safety reasons.
We are situated directly between Margaret River and Busselton townsites, which makes it the perfect location to explore all that our beautiful region has to offer.
We encourage campers to join us in our cellar door for a complimentary wine tasting between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
CAMPING GUIDELINES:
- We only accept self-contained caravans/motorhomes/vans. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK unless you have your own toilet. No exceptions, you will be turned away.
- We DO NOT accept ground tents or swags. Do not book unless you are in a self-contained vehicle i.e. caravan, motorhome, camper-trailer.
- Please arrive with enough drinking water for your stay (please note we do not fill caravan/van tanks).
- There is a strict NO driving around the property or walking amongst the vines.
- No pets allowed.
- No boats in dam.
- Camp fires permitted, in our designated fire pits, when shire regulations permit. NO firewood is to be brought onto our property. $20/bag payable at cellar door.

Camp up in our bushland, with beautiful views of farmland. Enjoy sitting by the campfire, going on a bushwalk or riding your bicycle around the paddocks on dirt tracks. In the spring, there will be beautiful wildflowers to see, in the winter you will be able to walk through our creeks.
TO BRING
Please be self-contained with water and rubbish, however we do have Sheoak and Jam tree logs that you can collect for firewood and a compost toilet. Also please bring insect repellent, the spring can coincide with lots of mosquitos and flies.
If you would like to bring your own firewood, you can buy some at the Bindoon roadhouse on the way. If you need access to drinking water and waste removal, there are facilities available at nearby caravan parks, such as Goomalling or Wongan Hills. We also provide non-potable water near the compost toilet for you to use for showers.
ARRIVAL
We are located in between Goomalling and Calingiri. Qualin farm sign in angled towards the Goomalling side, so could be difficult to see if driving from Calingiri. Drive slowly on approach of the driveway entry, as it on a corner. At the end of the driveway we have an information board to assist you in finding your spot as well as signs. If you need any help and would like to be welcomed to your spot, please let us know.
PHONE RECEPTION
During your drive, there can be limited phone reception, however, all campsites have some reception from most phone providers. If you do not have reception at the end of the driveway and need assistance, simply drive up the gravel road to the top of the hill (a right turn from the shed).
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Bindoon bakehouse or Toodyay bakery are great places to stop for a snack or lunch on your drive from Perth. Both locations are approximately 1 hour from our farm. Bindoon also has established free mountain biking trails.
New Norcia is an interesting historical town with museums, galleries and tours. It is a 40 minute drive from our farm.
Goomalling has a lovely coffee shop called Lot 39 store and cafe. It is open weekdays and the bakery is open weekends.

Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp.
So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding.
A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules.
One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs.
Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool!

- The river and dam are deep and unfenced. Constant supervision of children by their parents or guardians while on the property is mandatory to ensure safety around water.

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Boranup Forest, this is a very peaceful, private quiet and safe setting for our two campsites. There is an abundance of birdlife here, including blue wrens and red/white tailed cockatoos.
Two separate campsites are available both with access to bore water and both offering Privacy from each other: Jarrah, the larger of the two sites, and Marri, the smaller one (note: the surface is slightly sandier at this site).
About the Area: Enjoy a 600m stroll down the track to the Boranup Art Gallery and Café (closed Mondays). A short drive to the stunning Contos Beach (note: this road can be quite corrugated), and the amazing Lake Cave where you descend a staircase through an ancient sinkhole, known as a doline, into a sunken forest to reach this magnificent cave, which features dripping formations and a beautifully reflective underground lake.

68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this isolated pocket.
We have five sites available. Four for self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Shed Pad, has power available and an optional private bathroom.
Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region.
Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of our five campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
Shed Pad
Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with an optional private bathroom. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). RULES AND GUILDELINES.
While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety.
YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US:
- No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding.
- No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area.
- Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals.
-Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm.
- No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment,
-Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests.
-If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues.
-No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free.
-You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area).
-Please take away all rubbish.
-No big party groups.
-Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours.
-Check out of campsite by 11 am please.
-If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped.
- Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc.
-As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals.
-You approach all animals at your own risk
-Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc.
-Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely.
-You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us.
-Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. The front gate will be locked at 6pm for security reasons and will not unlocked till morning.

Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush.
There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property.
Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :)
Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter.

As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine.

Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily.
Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times).
There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites.
There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing.

TO BRING
Please be self-contained with water and rubbish, however we do have Sheoak and Jam tree logs that you can collect for firewood and a compost toilet. Also please bring insect repellent, the spring can coincide with lots of mosquitos and flies.
If you would like to bring your own firewood, you can buy some at the Bindoon roadhouse on the way. If you need access to drinking water and waste removal, there are facilities available at nearby caravan parks, such as Goomalling or Wongan Hills. We also provide non-potable water near the compost toilet for you to use for showers.
ARRIVAL
We are located in between Goomalling and Calingiri. Qualin farm sign in angled towards the Goomalling side, so could be difficult to see if driving from Calingiri. Drive slowly on approach of the driveway entry, as it on a corner. At the end of the driveway we have an information board to assist you in finding your spot as well as signs. If you need any help and would like to be welcomed to your spot, please let us know.
PHONE RECEPTION
During your drive, there can be limited phone reception, however, all campsites have some reception from most phone providers. If you do not have reception at the end of the driveway and need assistance, simply drive up the gravel road to the top of the hill (a right turn from the shed).
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Bindoon bakehouse or Toodyay bakery are great places to stop for a snack or lunch on your drive from Perth. Both locations are approximately 1 hour from our farm. Bindoon also has established free mountain biking trails.
New Norcia is an interesting historical town with museums, galleries and tours. It is a 40 minute drive from our farm.
Goomalling has a lovely coffee shop called Lot 39 store and cafe. It is open weekdays and the bakery is open weekends.

Lewana is a historic ex-forestry workers' estate located on the Blackwood River and Tourist Route 251 between Balingup and Nannup. The 100-acre property is situated amongst state and pine forests, and the parkland setting features over 50 different tree varieties, creating a beautiful place to stay at any time of year.
Lewana is the ideal base to explore the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas, including Donnybrook, Nannup, and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries, there’s plenty to enjoy during your stay. Experience nature by walking part of the Bibbulmun Track, cycling a section of the Mundi Bibbi Track, or kayaking on the Blackwood River from historic Wrights Bridge.

We have 3 beautiful and secluded sites to offer, right in the heart of the Dwellingup State Forest, 1 of them on the banks of the Murray River.
All sites here enjoy a minimum of 100 metres separation.
We love all animals here at Nanga River Retreat and we'd love for you to bring yours along (Remember to book our pet friendly site – ‘River Camp’, and dont forget to bring your little yellow bags please). We also enjoy an abundance of wildlife traffic through the property.
We would love to see all the Witches, Wiccans, and other Weirdos out there, we encourage you to book in for a spell. (pun intended) You'll fit right in. 🧙♀️
We invite discreet devotees of herbs, and mushrooms, to visit for a while, you will absolutely love it here, with privacy you just cannot get at the park 🤙
Come and find yourself, or maybe lose yourself, down by the river in Dwellingup, forest getaways dont get much better.
Please Note;
Loud drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, and rude misconduct will lead to eviction without refund, and reporting to Hipcamp.
Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp.
So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding.
A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules.
One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs.
Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool!

- Toilets are not provided, the nearest dump point is 18 minutes away in Collie, or 25 minutes Dardanup through the stunning Ferguson Valley.
Please do not dig 'toilet holes' on the property!
- Dogs are welcome, and arrangements for dog-care can be made while you explore the nearby national parks and bike trails. Fees apply.
- The river and dam are deep and unfenced. Constant supervision of children by their parents or guardians while on the property is mandatory to ensure safety around water.

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Boranup Forest, this is a very peaceful, private quiet and safe setting for our two campsites. There is an abundance of birdlife here, including blue wrens and red/white tailed cockatoos.
Two separate campsites are available both with access to bore water and both offering Privacy from each other: Jarrah, the larger of the two sites, and Marri, the smaller one (note: the surface is slightly sandier at this site).
About the Area: Enjoy a 600m stroll down the track to the Boranup Art Gallery and Café (closed Mondays). A short drive to the stunning Contos Beach (note: this road can be quite corrugated), and the amazing Lake Cave where you descend a staircase through an ancient sinkhole, known as a doline, into a sunken forest to reach this magnificent cave, which features dripping formations and a beautifully reflective underground lake.

There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. f your looking for a real rural experience with beautiful forest to wake up in this is the place. We have five sites available. Four for self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Shed Pad, has power available and an optional private bathroom.
Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region.
Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of our five campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
Shed Pad
Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with an optional private bathroom. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents.
It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

This is a lovely, quiet property just a 4-minute drive to Mundaring Village. We’re within walking distance of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail.
We love to share our property with those that are looking for a quiet self contained get away, we are not a caravan park — bring your bicycles and join the track in Sawyers Valley. Head east to connect with the Kep Track or continue to Mount Helena and Lake Leschenaultia, or ride west down the hill to Bellevue.
Black Cockatoo Reserve, a naturally beautiful bushwalk, is only a 5-minute stroll away. It’s also an easy drive to several charming hills pubs, including Mount Helena Tavern, Mundaring Hotel, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Mahogany Inn, and Hemingway's. Wonderful cafés are located within a short walk, cycle, or drive.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. We have free-ranging chickens and horses in the paddocks, so dogs must be kept under control around these animals. Pets are welcome to stay, provided they are respectful of all our animals. Our very friendly Kelpie, Millie, will be happy to make friends! All our pets are well-fed and cared for — please don’t feed them without checking with us first.

Lounge around and enjoy a morning cuppa on the verandah; then venture outside with camp chairs by the fire and witness evening turn into night (Fires seasonal). Foodies - enjoy your own private outdoor camp kitchen with gas cooker, esky (no ice), cooking utensils and extra camp fire cooking tools to cook over the open fire. Grocery Supplies and Ice are available from Dumbleyung and Kukerin.
We even have a Glamping option with concrete bath overlooking the rolling paddocks - in summer the sun heats the water pipe, or have a cold dip! (Hot water package extra charge.)
Each camp site has a small fire pit for permitted fire season. There is no site allocation meaning you can set up in any vacant site you choose within the grounds.
Get comfy, look over the pine forest to the west and you may glimpse horses and sheep in the paddocks.
Our focus is to give you space. Sunrises with a morning cuppa and/or witness the evolution of sunsets - evening into night.
Trek through the pines or 4wd access to drive/walk the sandplain wildflower track, look and listen for the birds and the bees. As dusk settles, rug up in your cozys and search the sky for shooting stars.

We had an amazing little getaway at Sandalwood Downs Farm. My daughter (7), absolutely loved the farm and all the beautiful rescue animals. We had a great camping spot by the creek bed with a deck to sit on. All the facilities were very clean and tidy. The owners were welcoming and we really enjoyed the farm tour. All the animals are obviously loved and well taken care of. Toodyay was also fun to visit with an amazing bakery and cute shops. Northam is also not too far and has the most incredible antique and vintage collectables store. Perfect little getaway. Thank you! ❤️

Loved tent camping at orchard!
Was met on arrival, beautiful clean and well kept site. Sooooo many cute things to explore and look at, chickens, horse and swing included. Owner offered free water and power. Felt very safe with their electric fence and two gates.
Will 100% be back.
Just wanted a quiet weekend away camping with activities for the 4 year old. Dogs allowed was a huge bonus.

The hosts, Donna and Michael, were very responsive and attentive, but not intrusive.
We were met at the gate to be shown to our area (The Orchard), which was spacious, grassed, and mostly level.
Wood for the fire pit was provided, and there was the offer of power and water.
Our dog was made welcome and Millie the resident dog is VERY friendly 🐾❤️
Lots of bird life, and great (dog friendly) walking trails.
Perfect for a couple of nights in the country within easy (and fuel efficient!) reach of the ‘burbs.

My first Hipcamp experience and wanted to feel safe and peaceful as a solo camper with a swag Donna met me at the gate and immediately made me feel welcomed, giving me the choice of where to camp,, asking if I needed water or electricity. I chose a spot in the orchard, next to a horse float, which to my delight lit with fairy lights come dark! Zara the horse was grazing close by for awhile, although I think we had an understanding to remain friends from a distance. Sitting next to an open fire, watching Millie the lovely dog making sure the chickens were okay before dark, made me feel like I was part of a little slice of serenity. Millie also checked on me a few times, which I loved!

We recently stayed at Sandlewood Downs Farmstay in Toodyay and absolutely loved it. This place is truly something special. There were heaps of animals, plenty of open space to relax and enjoy, and a really peaceful farm atmosphere that made it easy to switch off and unwind.
What really made the stay stand out, though, were the hosts Jayne and Mark. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
If you are looking for a farmstay with lots of space, a great range of animals, and genuinely lovely hosts, I would highly recommend Sandlewood Downs. We had an amazing experience and would happily stay again.

We loved the flying fox site and watching the black cockatoos flying around. The sites are very spread out so we could only see one other group like 300m away
Our pup loved being off leash.
we didn’t swim in the dam but if it was filled with more water we would have.
It was the perfect location for a day trip to Ferguson valley and lots of dog friendly cellar doors
