We must be the luckiest people alive to have somehow become the owners of this property which is only a short drive from the breathtaking Wilsons Promontory, and according to Lonely Planet, the second best beach in the WORLD. Surrounded by lush native bush and towering tree ferns, this picturesque town on the Latrobe River sits on the main access route to the ski fields of Mt Baw Baw and is home to a wide range of heritage and natural attractions. The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely. 4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. "Bush Retreat Farm Stay" is a gorgeous little farm nestled on the fringe of the Alberton West State Forest, with views of Wilsons Prom and the Strezleckie Ranges. The state forest has many walking tracks that go on for miles, perfect if you want to go horse riding, motor bike riding or mountain biking or put on a pair of comfy walking shoes to hit the many walking tracks to take in the beautiful bush setting with the occasional wallaby or kangaroo darting out of the bush across your path. We have the Great Southern Rail Trail just on our door step. It has now been completed from Nyora all the way through to Yarram. We have on of the entrances off Lanes Road. Close to all local attractions - Port Albert, Port Welshpool long jetty, Woodside's beautiful 90 mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Parks, spectacular Agnes Falls and Wilson's Prom. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.

We had such a relaxing stay here. The campsite is peaceful with a beautiful view of the river and surrounding nature. It was also really nice to properly disconnect from our phones for the weekend. Kim was incredibly welcoming. She even surprised us with fresh Korean pancakes while we were setting up (it was 10/10 so delicious). We visited on a rainy weekend and our AWD SUV had no issues getting in or out of the campsite. Kim’s pets were the absolute highlight and truly made the trip memorable. We adored them and would 100% come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway with a genuinely kind host.

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

It was nice and peaceful. We enjoyed listening to the creek. Handy having the drop toilet also. We ended up in a different spot to the one we booked ( booked site 7 ended up at Miners) due to it being very wet and muddy and the new spot was much more suitable for us with our caravan. Little confusing when we got there, no one was there and no instructions. Trent did answer his phone and direct us when we called and called back later to check we were ok. We appreciated the later “checkout” Trent allowed us to have so that we had time to dry off our stuff, unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there. Also appreciated the fire wood bought down by Trent, we tried to have a fire but the weather wasn’t obliging. We would stay again.

We tent camped at Salvador Island and it was great! Soft grass and flat land only 10-20 metres from the creek. We had a fire, we purchased wood ourselves. The drop dunny was very clean and comfortable!
