We had a great time camping at Bushy Ridge, it was easy to access and having running water was great. There was already a fire pit on site which saved us from packing one more thing. This place is amazing, 90 acres hidden in Mt Martha. Last minute booking over the Easter weekend, Michelle was amazing opening up a site for us. When we arrived she was sooo welcoming and showed us our site. Then dropped us off some firewood. Would highly recommend to stay here and we will be back.

We loved camping at this spot right on the river - beautiful. Awesome Easter camping! Respectful, quiet campsites along the rivers edge. Only a short walk to the pub and general store and for a longer walk the great Victorian rail trail. Greg met us on arrival and was a great host, also checked in with everyone once set up. Firewood for $50 was handy as nothing lying around. Highly recommend!

This was a great location by the Goulburn River, clean, flat with ample shade from trees. Located just off of the main road, where there is a general store should you forget any supplies. Every camping group was respectful, clean and friendly. Another bonus was that it was pet friendly in addition our two year old boy also enjoyed his first camping trip in a tent. Would definitely reccomend and will be back.

Weekend Trip to Gilwell Park Adventure Centre

We booked last minute and camped at the bottom of get hill at C01, close to toilet/showers. Great facilities and heaps of space. We were the only ones there all weekend (during April school holidays) that weren’t with a scout group. It’s 460 acres of bush with loads of hikes and activities for kids including an approx 2km ‘ninja warrior’ style challenge that was a great way to take the legs out of the kids at the end of the day. They only just started advertising this on Hipcamp, expect it will fill up as people find out about it. Theres creeks and streams, a small lake to swim in, friendly staff, bouldering, giant see-saws, tightrope walking, bike tracks, etc etc, I could go on all day. Recommend 👌

This is my second stay at Galea Ranch, and I felt just as welcomed as I did the first time. Wayne and Sharelle are truly exceptional hosts, warm, attentive, and always going above and beyond. I especially love the way they’ve set up a fire pit at each campsite, adding a lovely touch to the experience. The animals are another highlight, friendly and adorable, and you can even feed them apples. The location is also great, with plenty of nearby activities to enjoy.

The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. This is perfect for a couple of families or couples sharing the house providing a fully self-contained area allowing the ultimate in privacy. This property is truly unique, offering ocean views from the front of the property and then you step out the back into a tranquil bush setting. Hidden among the trees is an outside table entertainment area with a stunning swimming pool. Sea Paradise also offers reverse-cycle air conditioning/heating throughout. The only thing that changes in the colder months is our reduced prices. St Andrews Beach is a lovely quiet suburb with the convenience of having a superb cafe a 10 minute walk down Paradise drive along with a yoga and meditation retreat. Other close must visit places are a 5-minute drive to St Andrew's Brewery, and 10 minutes to Rye Hot Springs. 5 min walk you will also find access to the breathtaking ocean beach.
