We stayed with a toddler and a dog, and had a great time. The site was well organised and the A frame was clean and cosy. Our toddler loved reading books in the beanbag under the loft bed. A gas bbq and a wood fired pizza oven made life easy and we loved watching the sun set together from the giant hammock. The speed bumps going up the driveway are pretty intense, as previously noted. We have an Outback and still struggled on some of them. I'd recommend taking them on an angle at the edges, where the gradient isn't so steep. The way down is much easier. Overall, we loved it. An easy getaway from the city with a great view.

The Kardella Park glamping spot was beautifully set up with absolutely everything you could need. Very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom setup was so squeaky clean I thought it seemed brand new. The pergola space was a great place for meals and had pretty good shade most of the day for the quite hot weekend we were there. The beach is not far to walk or bike, and is a good spot to hire stand up paddle boards, canoes etc. Damian and Alli were super helpful. Definitely recommend.

Weekend Trip to Weemalah Cabin & Camping

Had the most serendipitous weekend at Anne-mare’s campsite, it exceeded already very high expectations. The creek is stunning, and so fun for swimming, paddling floating, jumping off the rocks and (attempted) fishing. The landscape is so beautiful, plenty of space for camping and so much to explore. We also booked the cabin which was beautiful and the jacuzzi looking out on to the fields was such a delight!! Anne-maree met us at the gate and was super lovely and comprehensive showing us around and being available if we needed. Would 100% go back here!!

Weekend Trip to Shacks at Kardella Park

We had an amazing 2-night glamping stay at Wayne & Sharelle’s land. They were incredibly welcoming, which made our experience even more special. The wine they provided was a delightful touch, and the firewood they prepared helped create the perfect camping atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again!

We spent the long weekend at glamping tent in the garden area. It was great. I’ve stayed in many different types of accomodation, from non powered site to fancy hotels. I don’t use this word even for the five star hotels that I have stayed before but the bathroom and the toilet onsite are SPOTLESS. Both Damian and Ally are very nice and welcoming. You have to come to stay to experience yourself. The only disappointment is the stay finished too soon and I wish I booked for longer.. 😄 Thank you for the nice weekend! We will be coming back! 🖤

Loved staying at the farm house. Anne-Maree and her husband were very helpful through our trip. The view to the cattle was beautiful, sunsets every evening - brilliant! Worth noting the spa didn't get as hot as we would have liked as there was no cover. The max temperature we could get it to was 35 degrees which is not that warm - but still beautiful. Loved how self sufficient the cabin was too!

3 nights at Galea Ranch

Wayne and Sharelle are fantastic hosts, and have made for a special Glamping Camp option which we took to over NYE. The site has a designated fire pit, plus a hammock and the tent is set on a deck with outdoor furniture. Sharelle brought over a platter of goodies on our first night and Wayne kept the wood stack loaded as we’d also opted for this. Both of them gave some great tips for the area. The overall site is great to bring your own kit and camp, with a nicely setup outdoor shower and toilet if needed. There are chickens and other animals on the property and we brought some of their free range eggs which came in very handy. We really needed some nature and to unwind and this was the perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend checking it out!!

This was such a cute spot! Gorgeous sheep were a huge hit ♥️ well stocked kitchen with lovely supplies. Very generous number of towels and the beds were so comfy. Lovely stay we are already talking about returning no bad notes at all!

We had an incredible stay here and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s one of my favourite places I have stayed this year, and I work in luxury travel :) The accomodation is beautiful, high end, luxury and included great amenities such as organic beauty products, a delicious breakfast hamper, nice towels and linens, laundry facilities, fully stocked kitchen, pizza oven, books, blankets, etc. My kids loved the friendly sheep and feeding the horses carrots. It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, and my only complaint was I wish we could have stayed longer than two nights!

Absolutely perfect location, great selection of amenities, nice outlook, decent phone reception. Gas bath is great. This location would be incredible for larger groups over a weekend. Recommended.

Magic Mountain

Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy. Seven Hills Tallarook

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property & family.

We have an adjacent fire pit area with tree log seating. You can order firewood from us too and a Coleman gas cooker with gas bottle (see extras). Merriwoola

Merriwoola is a property of outstanding natural beauty and offers guests a sanctuary from the world surrounded by parkland bush, mysterious boulders resting amongst the trees and numerous native animals including wombats, echidnas, kanagroos, wallabies, possums, koala and the most extraordinary birdlife. The property is defined by an ancient water course that cuts a 1km ravine through the property. During the winter the dry boulder-strewn gorge is transformed with waterfalls and cascades along its length and regardless of the season transports you to another time and place. There is limited solar power (enough for phones and laptops) and low flow water (enough to brush your teeth). Neither is guaranteed to be available. Trickle Hill is a lovely cottage tucked away at the edge of our bush. You have your own little patio, and can go for adventurous walks straight from your living room ! We are close to Dandenong ranges, Yarra valley, Bunyip state park, and Puffing Billy. The cottage is in the bush, so you can walk out and try to find our resident breeding pair of Lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats, wallabies and kangaroos or the deer that live in our 'back yard'. Or just roam, which shouldn't be too hard on 67 acres . We are close to massive areas of bush with open trails. Dogs are very welcome- no cats. As we live in the bush, we do our best to keep everything as 'green' as we can- so please don't use harsh chemicals. Living in the bush brings with it that you cannot light a fire in fire danger periods, and, heating on a woodstove, means there is a hot stove in the room. (watch those little fingers...) Our aim is to give you a place of rest and enjoyment. We love to share our space as we love it here so much- and hope you love it too. As life is a project - don't expect 10* linen and luxury, state of the art gardens and clipped lawns, but a friendly welcoming atmosphere where you can be yourself and relax. We love to have visitors, and chat for a bit- or leave you to relax. The cottage is on the edge of the bush, where you are welcome to roam on the tracks or off them- at your own risk :-) We are both artists, and our studio's are close to the cottage, which might make some noise, but we'll try to keep it at a minimum when guests are here. You can interact with the animals if you talk to us about safety first, but the horse paddock is out of bounds. ( they can behave unpredictable, are very large (!) and very valuable) Our dogs are very friendly and will most probably visit you. Our puppy still has lots to learn :-) Our property is stock- fenced, our animals will stay in, but dogs are able to roam if they are not staying with you. There is no secure yard to leave your dog during the day, you are expected to be in control of your dogs at all times. If they are ok with horses, chooks and dogs, and under voice command, they can be off leash. Dogs are not to sleep on the beds. We are a rural property with animals, and there are dams on the property, (not close to the cottage) so please keep an eye on children - we cannot take responsibility for your persons or animals. Living on a farm means that not everything is neat, safe, flat or person-proof. Often there is actual work being done involving machinery. Coming here is entirely at your own risk.
