Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy. Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. Weekend Trip to Sunny Lake Farm

We absolutely loved our stay here! The property is beautiful and peaceful. No other campers in sight and there was plenty of space for the kids to run around. Our host was very hospitable and keen to make our stay comfortable. The kids got to feed the horses and we saw/heard all sorts of bird wildlife. The facilities are also excellent and have everything you need. Torquay was only 30 minutes drive, so convenient and we booked a table at the Blackmans brew pub for dinner one night.

Catherine’s property is an ideal short drive out of Melbourne for a relaxed short bush camp. We stayed two nights in Site 1, which was spacious and very quiet. There are some houses around so it’s not totally out bush, but the houses are well concealed by trees. We did look out over the bush and did have kangaroos bouncing around. We enjoyed sitting by our open fire, and whilst we did take our own fire wood Catherine does provide it, for a price. The town of Kyneton is only 10 mins drive away for coffee etc and the other small towns are also close. Overall we enjoyed our two nights out bush.

Beautiful location and lovely host who was most prepared to share not only the site with us, but to show us around the property and meet the various animals. The two dogs were gorgeous!

2 nights at 52 acre property with amazing views

The views were absolutely stunning and made the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature. The host was so accommodating and friendly, they really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s one of those places that instantly makes you feel relaxed and grateful to have found it. Highly recommend and would love to come back again!

Weekend Trip to Silver Creek Escape

So easy! Close to Melbourne, toilet was spotless. Great walks nearby. Power on-site which we used for a kettle for ease of hot water. Clara’s sour dough was a great staple to our meals along with the eggs. Kids could explore the creek and national park nearby. Flat site with easy access to car boot. Ideal for those looking for a quick get away from Melbourne for a couple of nights, with kids, to get some easy nature time. With a few luxuries of a clean toilet and electricity. Thank you Clara and Caleb for your lovely welcome and friendly chat whilst letting us have our space.

Weekend Trip to Silver Creek Escape

Really lovely place! So close to walking tracks, and very peaceful. The space has great facilities - water, household power, table, grassy lawn with beautiful trees, fireplace and a very clean toilet. The hosts were really nice and helpful.
