Bruny coastal camping & funky barn

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents8 acres · Adventure Bay, TAS
Paddock camping or upgrade to the Funky Barn at cheap rates for bruny! Situated on a small coastal farm above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island 2 options available: Comfortable lodging (rustic but stylish converted horse barn) with a double bed in the loft, clean sheets provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. There is also a Camp site available for just one booking crowd at a time in a relatively flat area. If the weather is wet you can choose to camp next to the roofed shelter if the horses arent there. The camp area and barn are in a peaceful location in a pasture paddock on 8 acres with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It's a picturesque 10 minute walk through the light bush and along the cliff top coastline to the neck beach or just five minutes walk down to the sea cave. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and privacy. Dogs are subject to pre-approval but must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. The property boundary is fenced so there is plenty of exercise space. Horses are usually only here during the winter. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn . This is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

Our tiny house/shack sleeps 2 people max. It is close to beaches and a lagoon. Relax night and day in a fire pit lounge area crafted with dry stone (large soft cushions included) plus an outdoor fire bath. A small separate shed houses a flushing toilet and gas hot water shower. The block has mains power; solar power and tank water. The block is surrounded by local endemic shrubs, trees and ground covers. We provide firewood, linen for the comfortable double bed, condiments for the fully equipped kitchen that includes crockery, cutlery, a fridge, a gas cooker, air fryer, sandwich toaster, camp oven, water etc. Just bring your clothes and food. The block is in a quiet coastal hamlet (with gravel roads and no street lights) ideal for beach and lagoon activities (surfing, walking, paddling, bird watching). Our 2 person sit on kayak is at the tidal lagoon 5 min walk away. We have crafted this space over a number of years for personal use and now would like others to experience it. Southern Skies, Adventure Bay

2 sites · Lodging, Tents1 acre · Adventure Bay, TAS
Our paradise is located on Bruny Island, with forest mountain views to the west stretching to the south and east across Adventure Bay to Tasman Island and Peninsula. Camp is just a short walk to Quiet Corner and Two Tree Point, two iconic spots on the Adventure Bay coastline. Fluted Cape and this whole area are spectacular for nature lovers. And you'll be sharing the space with resident wallabies and native birdlife. This little block has plenty of sun and a shady fern glade for hammocks, flat spots for camping or vans, with a BBQ and fire pit. There is also a camp kitchen located in a cosy north-facing cabin with a lounge. We have a newly built toilet and shower block. Pet's are welcome, but we ask they be kept on a lead - see rules. All summed up to be the perfect peaceful getaway on Bruny island. Adventure Bay shop is 1 km away. A well stocked general store selling firewood bundles and fuel.

Cape Raoul Escape

2 sites · Lodging, RVs40 acres · Stormlea, TAS
Near the entrance to Cape Raoul NP and Shipstern Bluff, this is 40 private and picturesque acres of farmland with two sites. The first is suitable for self-sufficient stays if you have a small campervan or camping. Not suitable for caravans or bigger motorhomes due the steep narrow driveway. There is power available on the switchboard approx 20m from the most level part of the pad next to the uninhabited tiny home. I suggest cautiously reversing down the approx 50 driveway to take advantage of the stunning view. The area near the water tank is the most level. The second site is a beautiful Self Contained Tiny Home. See the stunning Sea Cliffs of Cape Raoul which is part of the world famous Three Capes Walk and it's also close to Port Arthur, The Remarkable Cave and McHenry's Distillery. A beautiful place to stay for a night while you explore this beautiful area. NOTE, while the view is amazing this is a very hilly block and dangerous if you're not comfortable reversing your van.
