I absolutely loved camping at the plateau. Its such a beautiful serene place. Fantastic for the rugged style camping. The views are spectacular and Jarrod is such a fantastic host. Make sure you have a strong sturdy tent, I recommend a dome tent as the winds can get intense sometimes as your very high up. This style of camping is for experienced campers. I loved every part of it and I will definitely be going up there regularly.

Wonderful weekend away on a very relaxing and peaceful property. The only sound we could hear were sheep and birds chirping. The site is relatively flat making setup a breeze. The firepit supplied was also great, definitely would love to return as it's an easy drive with our van.

We had a beautiful drive to the camp checking the historic buildings and canola fields on the way. We arrived to a great spot - open paddocks gave a sense of space. Rocky outcrops in the area had a Flinders Ranges feel and made for some nice hiking up the hill to see the views. Highly recommend this for those looking for a getaway without having to drive far.

On weekends we have a grassed strip, 8 metres wide, between a vineyard block and a windbreak. Which overlooks the valley behind and distant hills to the front. Being self contained is essential. Our toilets are only accessible when the cellar door is open. On weekends guests are welcome to come for dinner on Friday or for lunch on Saturday or Sunday, and then stay overnight, so they can enjoy a few drinks without worrying about driving home!

We have available fire pits, bush toilet, bush shower and a camp kitchen with gas BBQ. BYO firewood, toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. Pease take your rubbish with you when you leave. Pets welcome on leash at all times. Children under 2 are free. Do not include them in your booking or they will be charged. Campers need to arrive no later than 6.30pm unless otherwise arranged. The property is around an hour drive from Adelaide, and Murray Bridge is only 20 km away. Please note: We ask that you treat all of nature and animals with respect. For example chasing animals, the use of drones, climbing or breaking trees is not allowed. Adults are responsible for their children at all times.

Conveniently located within walking distance to the main street of Clarendon - five minutes to the Bakery and 10 minutes to the Royal Oak Hotel and General Store! The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon. Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Plenty of options in the area to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy, including: nearby wineries (some dog friendly), beaches (Moana and Aldinga/Silver Sands can be driven on), reservoirs (Mt Bold - hiking and views) and (Happy Valley - hiking, running, kayaking, fishing), Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation Park, ForestrySA land (including TreeClimb, Bone Gully MTB and parkrun on Saturdays at The Avenues - Kuitpo (Your host is the Event Director). We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.
