Out next lots of lambs are due around February 2023, so if you kids would like to have some farm experience and feed the sheep, feel free to keep us in mind! We also have two heifers and a bull hopefully they be in calf soon. Farm fresh mangoes are also available around Christmas time, so come in time for them! All sites are mowed and well taken care off. Our property "Arcadia" is located at Moongan, which was once a bustling Railway Station at the top of the Rack Railway. "Arcadia" is just over 2 acres with a nice flat camping spot beside the seasonal creek. You will be camping right where early settlers once camped and watered their draught horses in bygone days. Teamsters would gather here and collaborate to join their teams together to traverse the steep Razorback bringing supplies to the gold mine and its workers. Behind the homestead the land rises steeply to overlook the valley below and offers nice views for sunset gazers. We are at the very start of a permaculture makeover, with the design phase still in progress. Our business is named Moonrise Organixs and we have a produce stall at the front gate with an ever increasing range of chemical-free products. We have an infant orchard, mandala veggie patch, tea garden, poultry and a small grass arena. We are a kid, dog and horse friendly property! There is an unofficial rail trail nearby and lots of tracks for horse riding, hiking, rock climbing and motor bike riding. The quaint Gold Mining town of Mount Morgan is steeped in history, with a full suite of facilities and is only 5km away. Rockhampton is 25km and Gracemere 15km away. If you are interested in the history of Moongan, just strike up a conversation with Angie and she will be glad to share what she knows. Please note: Mount Morgan is situated at the top of the great Dividing Range. There are two ways to approach Mt Morgan from the east - up the windy range road A3 Burnett Highway or up the straight and steep (17% incline) Razorback Rd. Our property is located at Moongan just at the top of the steep Razorback incline. USE LOW GEAR from the bottom as it gets steeper towards the top. Directions from Bouldecombe: 4km west of Bouldecombe, turn right onto Poison Creek Rd. Follow until the end (4km) then turn left onto Razorback Rd. In another 4 km you will reach the steep incline and our property is at the top. Despite the address being Leydens Hill Rd, the driveway is actually accessed off Razorback Rd. Don't turn down Leydens Hill Rd, especially if you are towing as this is a narrow road and turning around can be difficult. There is a pit dunny outhouse but no shower. We offer a 10amp outlet only. Please come prepared with whatever equipment is needed to convert to 15amp if required. Water is our most precious and limited resource so please arrive with full tanks and adequate drinking water for the duration of your stay. We are in a dry period right now so it is hot and brown. This is a leave no trace site. Please take all your rubbish with you when you leave. If no one is home to greet you please just choose a site in the front driveway paddock which suits you. 😉 We won't be far away. Come in peace, stay in harmony, leave with a full heart.

We stayed 4 nights on site 2 and it was perfect. So much space for our van and boat setup, flat spot to park, and some shade. The kids loved feeding the pigs and horse, who was super friendly. Katie was very quick replying to messages, and we ended up meeting both her and Paul who are very friendly and relaxed hosts. Location is great, 20mins to Rosslyn Bay harbour for taking off to the islands. Would definitely return. Thanks for having us having us!

I can not recommend Milfarrago Farm Stay enough. The animals were the absolute highlight of the farm and my children were obsessed. My daughter is pretty shy, but she was so taken by the beautiful horse and if she could have taken little Frankie the caboodle home she would have. Thank you again Katie for your hospitality. We will absolutely be back 😍❤️

Very easy to find, we were the only ones there, had Pottable water and an electrical connection there too. The land was good and the lady was nice and had some beautiful horses on site and also had the most amazing dog Domino that came over for cuddles and strokes. Thank you for a great stay'

we arrived late at platypus bushcamp so we didnt get to see much of the amenities, although in the morning the place looked quite nicely decorated. we stayed at the powered site but it was a distance from the main camp where the toilet and other facilities are, so that may be a bit of a downside. finding the power at night was also a bit of a challenge. there are also some waterlogged areas so beware when driving your vehicle. perhaps if u would like to stay you should stay at the main camp.

We absolutely loved this Hipcamp. Private, with a cute garden which is your own, including a fireplace. A great base for visiting Rockhampton. A short drive into the centre in about 10mins. And the added bonus of beautiful caring hosts. A must if visiting Rockhampton. We will be back!!

Great place. We were a family with three children. Bill fed the animals with them and gave us a tour of the owner. The place is very pleasant and he was careful to position us in a place where we were away from the others so that each motorhome has its own corner. We had taken a Powered Camp. The place is incredible. I recommend 1000%.
