"Akubra Downs" Camping
Akubra downs is a lovely site. The hosts were kind and lovely people going the extra mile.
The facilities were great, although watch out for frogs in the loo! 10/10 would recommend for a visit. Charming and peaceful location.

Hidden Gem!
We thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu camping experience at Adam & Caitlin's place. Despite booking at the last minute, they promptly accommodated our request. Adam & Caitlin are so friendly and easy to chat with when we first arrived.
The property has the most stunning view and exceeded all our expectation. We were lucky to be the only ones staying at the property & it was a real treat. A bonus that the property has toilets and showers that are well maintained. We would definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

"Akubra Downs" Camping
With a big rig (18.5 m) truck & 5th wheeler, it is often difficult to find somewhere to stay that is within easy distance of local sights & shops. Hedlow had plenty of space & we felt secure.
Adam came & said hello & answered our questions about the camp.
The gravel road into the gate was a bit rough but not terrible.

We booked for one night with the intention to stay 4. Communion with the hosts was great, but the camping area was an absolutely disappointment. It was just a big paddock with lots of cattle running around and even more droppings. We could not find a spot without any poo to set up camp. Being a hot day the smell was not very pleasant. The grass was just brown and not mowed. I phoned the owner and they were happy to give us a refund, but we still lost our Hipcamp fees, which was a bit disappointing.
