Ranglewood Farm offers a peaceful and spacious setting with plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature. The host, Michelle, is consistently praised for her welcoming and friendly demeanor. While the property is ideal for fishing enthusiasts with its accessible boat ramp, visitors should be prepared for mosquitoes and sandflies, particularly at dusk. Overall, the campground is appreciated for its tranquility, ample space, and the opportunity for fires, making it a favored spot for campers seeking a laid-back experience.
Private sites, peaceful views and the host, Michelle, makes sure you are fine and is happy to have a chat. There is a boat ramp on the property for those who like to fish. I would recommend this camp.
We had a good time at Ranglewood Farm! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot with plenty of room to relax and enjoy The host was lovely and welcoming, a great Hipcamp farm stay and somewhere we’d happily come back to.
Beautiful little spot close to creek for fishing. Fires allowed and nice grassy spots to set up. We will definitely be back and bring some family and friends next time
This is not a fancy site but it's perfectly fine as a base if you want to pop in to Yeppoon as it's only 20 mins from town. Ruth is a lovely host and for a donation she can supply firewood and you can fill your water tanks from her rainwater supply. We had a campfire every night and didn't have any problems with mozzies. There were a couple of other vans there but there's loads of room even if you're a big rig and access is easy. Ruth runs cattle on the property but they don't venture near the camping area but if you've got kids they can get reasonably close if they want. There is access for boats if you're into fishing. This hipcamp is accessible even when wet but this is a flooding area so always check road closures.
We loved the secluded space! It was silent, we had nobody for 100’s of metres, and had our very own fire pit and picnic bench.
The boat ramp area is well kept and tidy, and offers a beautiful little spot by the waters edge.
We loved the peace and quiet, boat ramp easy walk and great fishing. Sites are level and fire pits set up. Bring the midgie deterent, but wernt too bad. We stayed three days would have stayed more.
Great spot for launching the boat (at high tide, although we were there for the 5m tides). Few mozzies around but usually at dusk and nothing a bit of RID and long clothing can’t fend off. Got into our groove of early morning fishing, afternoon camps showers and fresh mud crab eating early evening.
Awesome spot to stay and fish! Heaps of space to choose from to set up camp, camp fires allowed and walking distance to the boat ramp on Ranglewood Farm property to fish. Kids caught some Bream and Flounder! Midges are about so def bring repellent!
Great camping spot. A lot of places to pick from. Michelle the camp host is lovely too. Highly recommend, there are some midgies around so use repellant but it’s a great spot!
We loved our time here at Ranglewood, it an awesome location and friendly host! Boat ramp on property to launch your boat or even meander for a fish. Watch us on YouTube @thewilsonstakeonoz to see a full tour of our site here and a walk down to the boat ramp!
Nice quiet spot to camp.
Boat ramp and first night of firewood free or $10 thereafter.
Lots of big open space, you can be away from everyone right down the back of the property. The cows are super cute.
Bring the big spray for the grass bugs that swarm and bite.
