Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. There are clean amenities, toilets and showers, as well as running water at the powered sites.

Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire. It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station. There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports. The property has a large modern ammenities block. * Ladies toilet and shower amenities x 5 * Mens toilet and shower amenities x 4 * Disabled/Family bathroom x 2 There are limited powered sites available on request. There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing. You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike. This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike. Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Campfires permitted at our discretion (please ask first - depending on weather conditions). You'll need to BYO wood. Campers MUST have their own toilet. The standard "Pack it in. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites. If you ask us how to ride to the pub or a donut, we are happy to direct you! (We like to ride to the pub for a beer!). GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected). To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. This drive is extremely difficult to get up with a float. ****Please note, camping underneath trees on the property at your own risk. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire. It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station. There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports. The property has a large modern ammenities block. * Ladies toilet and shower amenities x 5 * Mens toilet and shower amenities x 4 * Disabled/Family bathroom x 2 There are limited powered sites available on request. There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing. You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike. Pets are welcome but must be on a lead as there are horses in paddocks on the property. This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex. It is also requested for guests to please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it.

With very limited camping spaces, we offer privacy, horse yards, hitching rails, a seasonal creek with swimming holes and toilets. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. Magical place with heaps of room on campsites. Good amount of shade/sun shared throughout the day. Looking directly at the tree covered mountain from campsite was an awesome backdrop. Dean was a pleasure to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Kayaks are an added bonus you get when camping here in which you can take down the creek giving you a great peaceful paddle along the base of the mountain. Will be heading back there in the future 100%.

5m caravan stayed at the Summit. We were greated by Neil with avo’s in hand. Nicely mowed secluded area overlooking the below valley. Plenty of room for us & the dogs. We enjoyed the visits from the wallabies & kangaroos. With flyovers from hawks, eagles & black cockatoos mornings and afternoons. We explored the rainforest walk which ended at the dam. Great place to relax & unwind with a fire to finish the day. Definitely a location to return to.

Greatly enjoyed camping at Mountain View at Yabba Creek Farm. Plenty of space, and the very useful shelter structure for extra space and shade… even a spot with a cold “shower” and an outside sink with town water access. The clever side “gate” on the structure also allowed to close it us for some shade in the morning, or to open up for some sure flow. When the fireplace is all hooked up, it will be a great addition in that space in the cooler months. A reasonably short walk to turn well maintained porta-loos, and a still stroll down to the Yabba creek for a swim with the dogs, or a paddle in one of the free-to-use kayaks. A wonderful sized swimming hole, and a really enjoyable place to swim. I did find the Mountain View site could have done with a couple of trees for more shade on hot days, but the added shelter s structure certainly helps with that. This site is located at the end of the property, making it more private, and well spaced out from other sites… particularly good with our dogs. Loved our stay! Hope to come back again.

Kaylea and Dean’s property is amazing. So thoughtfully set out and everything you need is supplied, bush shower, toilet, water and kayaks to explore the creek and hopefully spot a platypus. They will even bring you firewood to your campsite if requested. The ecosystem is so diverse and healthy. We spotted many birds including the azure kingfisher. Set in the beautiful Mary Valley, this place is a must do .

We spent the Christmas holidays camping at Yabba Creek Farm and couldn’t have asked for a batter experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and approachable, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The farm is beautifully maintained, with spotlessly clean amenities and a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. With only six sites, it never felt crowded - just relaxed and quiet, exactly what we were hoping for. We stay at the “Silky Oaks” site which had water hookup which is a nice bonus, making our 10 day stay with our caravan comfortable and easy. One of the highlights was definitely the kayaks. The kids absolutely loved exploring the creek and we parents had just as much joining in. It was such a special way to sound time together and enjoy the natural surroundings. All in all, Yabba Creek Farm was the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy a truly memorable Christmas camping holiday. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back!

We spent two lovely nights here and had a great experience. The host was very welcoming and friendly, which made us feel comfortable from the start. The camping spot is large, very private, and right next to Little Yabba Creek, making it a peaceful place to relax. We really loved that the place is pet friendly. Our dogs had an amazing time enjoying the creek, especially while we were kayaking. Having free kayaks available is a great bonus. Little Yabba Creek is beautiful and full of wildlife. We were lucky to see platypus, wallabies, fish, lizards, and many different birds. It truly felt like a special nature experience. The only small downside was occasionally hearing gunshots from nearby hunting areas, but aside from that, the place is a true paradise. We would definitely recommend it.

Arrived and felt very welcome. 🙏 was shown the spots as I had a choice where I could setup The whole property is very beautiful along the creek with many camping options. Spent my Christmas with my kids at the creek was a lovely day. Most beautiful spot and tranquil with the kookaburra’s being most entertaining being harassed by the smaller nesting birds.
