Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in.
We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch.
We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do.
We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.
We rotate the sites and rest them. Then they don’t get overused. We want our camp sites to look lovely for you. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property.
If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or we can give you a full refund.
Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase .
We have a no dog policy.
We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first.
If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip.
All campers must check in before dark and call me before entering.

Explore the winding Currumbin Valley and uncover its hidden gems. Take a trip to the beach, home to the renowned Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Nearby attractions include the Rock Pools, Elephant Rock, Balter Brewing Company, Freeman's Organic Farm, Superbee Honeyworld, Surf World Gold Coast, Sanctuary Markets (Friday night food trucks), and Currumbin Alley Surf School, to name just a few. Indulge in the abundance of delicious cafes just minutes down the road.
AMENITIES AND THINGS TO NOTE
Prior to booking, please review all site photos. This will help you to decide if our site is a right fit for your needs.
The site has an 11% off-level terrain. Assistance aids for levelling your vehicle are available.
While tents are welcome, please be aware that the ground is hard gravel and 11% off-level.
Most suited to 4WD. Camp trailers, Vans, Camper vans, Roof pop tops, Off-road camp trailers, Expedition trailers, All-terrain vans.
Arriving in daylight is highly recommended.
If it has rained near the time of your booking, a 4WD is recommended especially if you are towing.
Not suitable for caravans unless you are highly proficient in reversing your rig 60m uphill. Reversing and pulling into the site as noted in photos is the best way to utilise the site. Trust us, we know! If you lack confidence in doing so, kindly consider alternative options.
The illustrated caravan in the photo is 5 meters.
Campers must be fully self-contained with their own camping toilet. Please refrain from arriving and asking where the bathroom facilities are.
Domestic power (not 3-phase) and cold town water are provided.
Leashed small dogs are permitted; however, pet waste must be promptly removed.
Campfires are allowed in the provided fire drum unless there is a local fire ban in place. Bring your own firewood for a cozy evening under the stars.

The property is most suited to 4WD, high clearance vehicles, and off-road campers. Caravans and motorhomes will find it difficult to reach most areas to camp.
Children under 12 stay free! Please still add children to the booking (you will not be charged) so we can keep on top of guest numbers.
You're welcome to bring your furry four-legged friends along to camp too, but please ensure they do not hassle the livestock.

Gabrielle's Retreat

Situated in the Caldera under the shadow of Mount Warning is a small secluded acreage within the bend of a large creek. It is comprised of an open creek flat with views of the mountain and horses grazing that is surrounded by some remnant and some regenerated subtropical rainforest along the creek frontage.
There are a couple of small private swimming holes and walking tracks along the creek where you can stop and sit for some quiet contemplation, watch the native birdlife, do some forest bathing, or maybe even spot some local platypus or other native wildlife.
We offer 4 separate powered sites, that you are welcome to choose from on arrival based on availability. NOTE: two private power sites are available upon request on arrival , if conditions are favourable . You will need to have two power leads to hook to power though. We have room for large caravans, motorhomes and buses. Please note, one vehicle/caravan per site. If you have multiple vehicles/caravans, you will need to book multiple sites.
Weather permitting (no rain) we also have two unpowered sites available in another paddock, closer to the creek. There is no power or water at these sites, and you will need to be self-contained.
We also have a gazebo/camp kitchen available to all guests where you can relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the property. Running water, power, and BBQ are supplied here.
All campers must be self-contained at this time, with their own camp toilet.

Only one site has bathroom access, Hillhead. One acre dog enclosure available for friendly dogs. Large grassed areas among gum trees, set high so there are sea breezes in summer. Lots of birdlife, with kookaburras, galahs, curlews, cockatoos and lorikeets nesting on site, you will meet our friendly magpie and butcherbirds too.
We are in a koala zone and occasionally get visitors during breeding season, and there's been a few wallaby sightings recently. We have a small hobby farm with chickens and ducks. We also have a goat, native bees, a worm farm and an aquaponics system
Plenty of local activities and events. Too many to list!
Beaches, bush and city stuff too
The closest activity is the mini-golf at Alexandra Hills Hotel and Conference Centre.
Its also very handy for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking. Family friendly and reasonably priced for the area. There is a playground for kids and a bottle shop.

While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy.
Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster.
If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall.
Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.
