Welcome to our secluded property on the idyllic Crystal Creek with private swimming holes and beautiful mountain views. Located on a small hobby farm, we offer a private camping experience for just one group at a time.
Our campsite is called 'Creek Side' as it's located right next to the creek on a flat grassy patch of land. A great little swimming hole is right next to camp.
Just 75 metres from Creek Side is an outdoor hot-shower and flushing toilet available for guests and an Infared Sauna which can be booked for an additional fee.
We are located 15 minutes from Murwillumbah, 30 minutes to Cabarita Beach, 40 minutes to Gold Coast Airport; 50 minutes to Byron Bay.
Well behaved pets welcome by request (we have chooks and cows so your pet must be friendly!)
Firewood available for purchase.

Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond.
Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around.
Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing.
Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged.
Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY, but may be subject to fire bans.
Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

*CRITICAL* We request information about your booking prior to acceptance as this platform doesn’t block booked sites and doesn’t always take multiple vehicle numbers. There is a fee per vehicle per day with every booking, and we need to know if it is 2WD or 4WD as many of our campsites are 4WD only.
We have limited usage on Tamrookum Creek road per day and pay a levy per vehicle. The vehicle fee is listed under extras. If you want to drive the 28 kilometres of tracks scattered throughout the property during your stay 7am to 6pm there is an additional one-off payment $45 per vehicle. Our entry check-in time 7am with vacating before 6pm
We also offer people with 4WD vehicles to just come out for a day’s drive 7am to 6pm to access the 4WD tracks. Vehicles pay $55 weekend and PH or $45 mid-week for a day visit no camping.
Camping: We have 2 camping areas for 2WD and caravan access Opposite Lock A to H sites and the 14's A to E sites. Our check in time is from 7am and check out time the following day before 6pm
All other sites are 4WD access. These are not advertised on this platform. As this is an instant payment platform, we do consider credits for valid reasons unable to arrive but must be discussed.
Property: A 695-acre council registered tourist back-to-basic bush camping and 4WD park located in the picturesque Scenic Rim region just over an hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Perfect for 4WD enthusiasts, bushwalkers, mountain bikers, and anyone that just wants to get back to nature.
Amenities: We encourage self-sufficient bush camping. There are chemical toilets near the campsites. Hot showers and a flushing toilet if required are back at the main car park. showers 7am to 5pm as there is no night driving
We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hip camp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old.
Generators are permitted to recharge batteries but not permitted to be on constantly. Please advises if required for medical reasons.
We are pet friendly however must be on leads at all times. We are a glass beer bottle free park. We do sell bags of wood and ice

We have a 400-acre beef cattle and cropping property in the beautiful Scenic Rim, 5 minutes from town. With a dam, tracks to explore, a running creek to fish and frolic in, and plenty of wide-open spaces to rest and relax. Our Creekside sites are in a large open paddock with creek frontage, near the road and readily accessed with 2wd vehicles. Or we have campsites in an elevated position which offer more privacy but do require a 4wd. Campers must be self-sufficient and have their own toilet - we have no facilities here. The camp area was really well looked after and tidy, amenities were great toilet and shower clean. There was a little less water than I would have liked bit it was still running. This was just mother nature. Great little area, Thanks Georgie I would recommend your place to other guests wanting a nice quiet place to stay.

We had a great extended family weekend at Georgie's,was wonderful to have the area to ourselves and the toilet and shower made it that much easier. The kids feed the chooks each day and named the cow!! Creek was shallow bur still water to play in. We will ve back.

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, very well maintained, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We stayed with 4 adults, one baby, and our dog, and everything was perfect for our group.
We absolutely loved the views and the overall vibe such a special place to relax and enjoy nature. Due to the hot weather, we asked to change from the mountain spot to the river, and they were more than happy to help and make it happen, which we really appreciated.
We truly had the time of our lives and will definitely be coming back many more times. Highly recommend!

Massive campsites, so you're not on top of one another, yes they are pricey and not for everyone, but worth it if you want the space, peace and quiet, the ground's are immaculate, and what's not to love camping beside a creek.

We had such a wonderful time at Georgie's property. This campsite felt like a peaceful oasis, we loved our swims in the creek and being surrounded by such beautiful nature. Such a bonus having a hot shower and flushing toilet too. We loved that it's a private site too, what a special place. Highly recommend!

It was a lovely quiet campsite right next to the creek. Despite it being January and with cattle around we had almost no flies or mosquitoes. The creek is clear, but shallow so good to sit in, but no swimming. The camp shower and flushing toilet were a bonus. If you have young children there is barbed wire on the other side of the creek and the site is surrounded by electric fences. Just something to be aware of. They weren’t a real problem for us. For a relaxing break it certainly was a great spot.
