The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond. Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. Hidden Valley is on 26 acres with frontage to Grady's Creek (the creek is our front boundary) and our back boundary is a goods train line, the train occasionally gives a toot to campers. We offer general camping, an area for tents and swags and we welcome custom group bookings. We have two amenities blocks (six toilets and six hot showers). Firewood and ice available for purchase. Hidden Valley is a dog friendly camping ground. However, it is the responsibility of the owner/s to keep their dog/s controlled at all times and on leashes, for all campers to enjoy their stay. There is no Local Council rubbish removal services available, so please take all your rubbish with you on departure. Facilities for recycling of cans and scraps is available. Please note that the Brisbane to Sydney goods train is nearby. Times vary according to supplies to port and the train may be heard from the campsite.

This is a private 1acre campsite with a 4acre buffer zone of native forest situated on a 140acre property in Witheren Heights about 45min from the Gold Coast. Just 8 minutes away you will find the Coomera river and 2 minutes beyond the small town of Canungra with lots of quaint cafe’s and small local businesses. Forest Nook is a private and secluded get away that feels disconnected from society, but is only 45 minutes away from the Gold Coast. Just 20 minutes away is Lamington National Park. Whether for a small gathering of friends or a family get away, this beautiful private nature retreat will provide the peace and quiet you’ve been craving. At the moment the land is undeveloped, you will need to bring all your own supplies, water, camper or tent. Firewood can be found on the land. You will also have access to the public areas on the rest of the 140acre property and will find public toilets placed within walking distance throughout the land. Forest Nook offers a nature escape, bushwalks, bird and nature observation, a place to unwind in privacy with the farmland home to goats, chickens and a pig within walking distance. This 6-acre property is located on the outskirts of the beautiful Burringbar Village. There are 4 campsites available, 3 are located in the creek paddock and 1 in the Orchard. The sites are located near a quiet country no-through road. Sites are all fairly level, best to bring levellers if you require it dead level;) The village is an easy walk, ride, or drive away (just over 1 km). Great location for camping and enjoying nature. Loads of birdlife and if you are lucky enough, you might get a glimpse of a platypus in the creek or Koalas as we have a Koala corridor on our property & also Wallabies. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is nearby and is great for walking and bike riding. Wooyung and Pottsville Beaches are less than 15 minute's drive. The townships of Murwillumbah and Brunswick Heads are also only 15 minute's drive away. The village of Burringbar is only 30 minutes from Byron Bay and or the Gold Coast. In the village itself there are options for food, drink and entertainment, with a General store, Post office, Thai restaurant, Natural Wine Shop, Coffee Shops, Pharmacy, Butcher, Cheese factory, and Sports Club . And only 4 kilometres away in the nearby village of Mooball, there is the famous Moo moo Roadhouse for meals, coffee and fuel, and the also historic Victory Hotel for further food and drink options. Base yourself on this lovely property and explore the beautiful Northern Rivers Region and all it has to offer. This is a quiet and peaceful camp ground and is suited to people wishing to enjoy the serenity of nature. It is not suitable for large groups or those wishing to party on. What a lovely camp site and the owners are fabulous. They came down everyday and made sure everything was ok, and if we needed any firewood (only $15 for a huge bag). Lovely creek to sit in to cool down on a hot day. Will be back.

We love camping here, this is one of our favourite places to camp near Brisbane. My husband enjoyed the challenge of driving over the big hill to the camping site. Phil was very friendly and Alannah was very prompt in replying to my messages. The camping sites are big and we had the whole place to ourselves. We really enjoyed the creek and the water hole is great to cool off during the day. We will definitely come back and try different camping site in the property.

We decided to go to Christmas Creek bush retreat for our very first Caravan trip. My husband and I with our dog absolutely loved it. The sites were spacious with lots of room, not over crowded, and all sites face the beautiful Creek that is full of turtles, and has platypus (we didn't see them). We liked that it was off grid with no water or power as we wanted to try out our van to see how everything worked, and it was great. I would recommend this site if you want some peace and quiet. The whole site is so well maintained by the owners who live close by and it's an easy 40 minute drive from Beaudesert.

3 nights at Burringbar Camping - The Haven

Stayed for 3 nights at Kates property and it was great. We had the area to ourselves and stayed in front of the bamboo area facing the road so we got full max of the sun for our solar. Was not an issue facing the road side at all. Welcomed on arrival by Kates husband (sorry, forgot his name). Like others have mentioned, firewood & firepit supplied and even down to fire starters! Communication with Kate was excellent. 40 minute drive to Tweed Heads so location is pretty good. Will definitely be back if we need a getaway from the Gold Coast or see another show in Tweed Heads.

We had a great weekend camping at over the creek. We stayed in the campsite that you could access with a 2wd car. It was private, we had no one around us. There was a little creek running next to our camp which my dogs really enjoyed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
