Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. Hidden Valley is on 26 acres with frontage to Grady's Creek (the creek is our front boundary) and our back boundary is a goods train line, the train occasionally gives a toot to campers. We offer general camping, an area for tents and swags and we welcome custom group bookings. We have two amenities blocks (six toilets and six hot showers). Firewood and ice available for purchase. Hidden Valley is a dog friendly camping ground. However, it is the responsibility of the owner/s to keep their dog/s controlled at all times and on leashes, for all campers to enjoy their stay. There is no Local Council rubbish removal services available, so please take all your rubbish with you on departure. Facilities for recycling of cans and scraps is available. Please note that the Brisbane to Sydney goods train is nearby. Times vary according to supplies to port and the train may be heard from the campsite.

This 6-acre property is located on the outskirts of the beautiful Burringbar Village. There are 4 campsites available, 3 are located in the creek paddock and 1 in the Orchard. The sites are located near a quiet country no-through road. Sites are all fairly level, best to bring levellers if you require it dead level;) The village is an easy walk, ride, or drive away (just over 1 km). Great location for camping and enjoying nature. Loads of birdlife and if you are lucky enough, you might get a glimpse of a platypus in the creek or Koalas as we have a Koala corridor on our property & also Wallabies. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is nearby and is great for walking and bike riding. Wooyung and Pottsville Beaches are less than 15 minute's drive. The townships of Murwillumbah and Brunswick Heads are also only 15 minute's drive away. The village of Burringbar is only 30 minutes from Byron Bay and or the Gold Coast. In the village itself there are options for food, drink and entertainment, with a General store, Post office, Thai restaurant, Natural Wine Shop, Coffee Shops, Pharmacy, Butcher, Cheese factory, and Sports Club . And only 4 kilometres away in the nearby village of Mooball, there is the famous Moo moo Roadhouse for meals, coffee and fuel, and the also historic Victory Hotel for further food and drink options. Base yourself on this lovely property and explore the beautiful Northern Rivers Region and all it has to offer. This is a quiet and peaceful camp ground and is suited to people wishing to enjoy the serenity of nature. It is not suitable for large groups or those wishing to party on. What a lovely camp site and the owners are fabulous. They came down everyday and made sure everything was ok, and if we needed any firewood (only $15 for a huge bag). Lovely creek to sit in to cool down on a hot day. Will be back.

We decided to go to Christmas Creek bush retreat for our very first Caravan trip. My husband and I with our dog absolutely loved it. The sites were spacious with lots of room, not over crowded, and all sites face the beautiful Creek that is full of turtles, and has platypus (we didn't see them). We liked that it was off grid with no water or power as we wanted to try out our van to see how everything worked, and it was great. I would recommend this site if you want some peace and quiet. The whole site is so well maintained by the owners who live close by and it's an easy 40 minute drive from Beaudesert.

Stayed for 3 nights at Kates property and it was great. We had the area to ourselves and stayed in front of the bamboo area facing the road so we got full max of the sun for our solar. Was not an issue facing the road side at all. Welcomed on arrival by Kates husband (sorry, forgot his name). Like others have mentioned, firewood & firepit supplied and even down to fire starters! Communication with Kate was excellent. 40 minute drive to Tweed Heads so location is pretty good. Will definitely be back if we need a getaway from the Gold Coast or see another show in Tweed Heads.

A beautiful spot above a little flowing creek. Nice and flat with some shady areas. Shower/toilet not too far away. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and communal area where you can relax and charge phones etc. The lovely lady filling in for Peter and Jannine (sorry, I didn't get your name!) was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Both myself and my dog felt very welcome and comfortable. I would definitely stay again :-)

Beautiful place to camp facilities were very clean, beautiful big well kept grassy camp spots, pet friendly, there is a cool lil shop about 10 -20min out called Wiangaree General Store that has nearly everything from tent pegs to pork chops so handy if need to stock up, Rainforest Retreat sell fire wood and ice which was handy for the esky and the fire pit,

We had a great time camping at Christmas Creek Bush retreat. Sites are very generous, flat and quiet. Creek was amazing and has some areas to sit in to cool down. Spotted a few fish and turtles enjoying the water as well.
