Our place makes a great base to explore the remarkable Finch Hatton Gorge and its many waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulders. We have two large, flat, grassed paddocks with sweeping mountain views. We offer up to six campsites, all accessible for any type of vehicle, and you choose where you want to pitch/park on arrival. Relax beside a beautiful spring-fed creek with a rainforest backdrop while clouds float by. We have one private creek site with or without power, you will have the place to yourselves. Amenities are at the main residence up the hill, a shower fee per stay applies. We are not a commercial campground, BBQ and fire pit areas setup for your use at the site and firewood is readily available at fee. The property is located 880m above sea level and 11km up Dalrymple Road in Eungella. The property entrance is concealed and on the left there are three wellie bins opposite a traffic mirror. The front gate is on your left and has a Land for Wildlife sign attached, the gate is aways locked. We have a 150 acre property, 50 acres of which is rainforest with a magical creek winding through it. Rainforest walks have been marked or you can just follow the creek and discover secluded swimming holes with small waterfalls. There are leaches in the rainforest and we recommend that you bring insect repellent and adequate hiking gear. During November firefly´s drift through the property at dusk. Rosellas, King Parrots and Finch's are popular on the property and Cockatoos make a regular visit. Access to the property is by booking only, we recommend, 4WD and AWD during the wet season and if towing but 2WD is ok during the dry times. High clearance caravans up to 9m are ok. Campers are preferred to bring their own amenities and all waste has to be collected and taken off the property. Washing machine and dryer are available for a fee. This is a dog and horse friendly property. We have many ground feeding birds, wallabies and request that animals do not wonder unattended. Please note that we have parasite ticks on the property and recommend that you give your pet a tick treatment prior to arriving. We have no mobile phone coverage on the camp site, limited coverage if you drive up the hill at the highest point. Internet is available at the main residence for emergencies.

This is an absolute gem. Beautiful spot in the untouched forrest of Finch Hatton Gorge. Easy access with our caravan and the sites are very generous is size with power ,water and your own shelter to use. Beautiful outdoor/ forest showers and toilets with a view. We loved the fresh water creeks running and the quiet surroundings. The owner Shane was very helpful ,friendly and easy to talk to. Would highly recommend this spot

Great spot. I love that it is a single camp site and we could be there on our own. Just what we needed and close to home for us. It was very dry this visit (it is the driest time of year here) but it is only a short drive or easy walk to Middle Creek Dam which was a fantastic spot to go for a SUP, have some fun with the dogs and relax. We will definitely be back.

The campsite itself was good because it was completely private and didn’t have to worry about others being around. Especially with the dogs. Great location. Very very dry this time of year so the bush walks and hiking aren’t much to see as the gully is bone dry, and middle creek dam is quite dirty, but otherwise a great stay and recommend to all :)

Weekend Trip to Wallaby Downs

Always enjoy camping at wallaby downs. Care takers Dave and Sharon, are loverly ppl always welcoming. Owners Dan & Renee never disappoint. Wallaby’s run free, camp fires aloud. My grandson enjoys it every time as they have swings flying fox trampoline & plenty of space for kids to ride push bikes. Added bonus of ammenities such as a hot shower, and much more. Walking the grounds in search of kindling for the fire pit is always fun way to explore. Our dog enjoys her stay.

Amazing facilities that were clean, well kept and felt very natural. Easy to access and explore. However the camp sites are in the smaller side and we had a dual camp with a fold up rooftop.

3 nights at Diamond Ridge Grazing

We had the option of camping on some nice grassed sites by the creek near the house ,but we opted for a very private site on top of a quite steep hill at the back of the property. We were rewarded with lovely mountain views. We have a 4wd and fully off-road self contained 3m hybrid camper.This site would not suit large vans or small cars.We really enjoyed the tranquillity of having the hilltop all to ourselves . We really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend Trip to Valley View Camping

Pretty surroundings, the location was close to the Gorge, Pinnacle Hotel & Finch Hatton which made for a good day out. Hot showers & flushing toilets were a treat whilst camping 🏕️ Grounds were a little run down but still had usable picnic tables & shelter. We were in a group of 5 vehicles/camps & had the entire lower camp to ourselves which was so peaceful.
