Ilbilbie Station is 1001 acres. There are no neighbors to annoy, as we reside at the end of Landells Road. Our property is a small family-owned working cattle station. There is native wildlife, birds and kangaroos. Sit and relax, take a dip in the creek or explore the property. As at 28/11/25 - our creek has dropped considerably due to farmers irrigating their crops just below us . Our place makes a great base to explore the remarkable Finch Hatton Gorge and its many waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulders. We have two large, flat, grassed paddocks with sweeping mountain views. We offer up to six campsites, all accessible for any type of vehicle, and you choose where you want to pitch/park on arrival. Both paddocks have easy access to flushing toilets and hot showers. However, the lower paddock has our playground and undercover areas. Your own pets are welcome, we just ask you to please pick up after them. Campfires are permitted in the 2 designated firepits, or if you have your own firepit, brazier or similar. Hey guys, Breaking news....... We have had rain. So the camp sites are begining to green up the track has improved. we are opening Track sites 3 and 4 and group sites. QUIET, and NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL. Our small coastal cattle property is right at the end of Gillinbin Creek Road. The beach has good 4 wheel drive access and is very quiet with secluded private camp sites. Sites are nestled in amongst native coastal vegetation that runs into tropical rain forests. I'm sorry to all, we have to reiterate this, but we have to due to some filthy campers. NO TOILET, NO ENTRY. We are disgusted to have to pick up used toilet paper. One more case of this will see camping cease here and your name hosted in lights as a filthy camper. Sorry for the bluntness. A shovel does not cover as a toilet! Our place is a beautiful place and we will not allow this kind of degradation. The Beach is classified as a Green zone under Qld law which means fishing is excluded along the beach. You can fish at the creek mouth to the north. There is also creek access through the property but no camping there. A small boat can be launched and retrieved. Self sufficient camping only. No toilets, showers, dump points or power provided at this time. Horse yards are available if you whish to bring your horse for rides along the beach, obviously all at your own risk. Well behaved, quiet dogs are allowed, and must be kept within the campsite unless your walking them. Be respectful of others. Areas are available for group Bookings, please message us and we can suggest the best sites for your group. Things to do here include, beach access (walks, drives), horse riding, bird watching, Fishing, Crabbing, A small wet land walk. Or just sit back and watch the beach change with the tide. What to bring and not bring, Insect repellent or be prepared to cover up when sandflies and midges are out. Torches, Sunscreen, rubbish bags. We are perfectly situated if you want to explore the Mackay region and what the Pioneer Valley has to offer. Come and watch Platypus and turtles play in the billabong. No fires allowed at all, not even for cooking, except in winter. Fire pits will be provided, in winter, not individual fires allowed. We have fire pits to keep you warm on the cool winter nights as you sit around and share your travel stories. Sit back in tranquility as you watch the platypus, turtles and wild life gather in and around the billabong as the sun sets. It's a great way to finish the day. Wow what an amazing spot. We camped right next to the swimming hole and it was just such a great couple of days. There is a zip line and swing into the water that the kids that were also camping there loved. Lots of cows and horses which gave it a real farm stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. Friendly hosts and good comms. You won't be disappointed.

Such a great spot and we had the place to ourselves while we stopped in on our way home from a big road trip. The facilities are fabulous! Cows were doing zoomies in the night which we loved as we have our own cattle. Obviously there is cow poo all around so it was a fun game finding the oldest to stick the swag between. Will definitely stay again if we get the chance.

We loved our stay here. Had the place to ourselves on lovely we’ll kept grass however still would have been plenty of space if there was 5 or 6 groups staying. Amazing watching and listening to the bird life in the mornings and evenings. Had a paddle on the water and watched the storm roll in. Friendly hosts. We would definitely recommend.
