Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. My partner and I needed somewhere special and quiet to reconnect away from the hustle and bustle of city life… and this place more than delivered! Every little detail has been thought of for an exceptional level of comfort but it still feels like a true bush camping experience. The waterfall at the front of your bed each morning, the bathtubs for bubble baths under the stars, and the level of care, cleanliness and pride that goes into it is a credit to them. Will definitely be back to enjoy again 🫶

Bev and Ian were perfect hosts. They have thought of absolutely everything - right down to the hamper of luxuries and great quality bath products. Everything is provided - just bring food and drinks. For those who want to camp with luxury this is fantastic. Baths under the stars are a highlight and the tent is superb. Ian's lanscaping and waterfalls are fantastic and Bev's touches are apparent throughout. Well worth the money for the solitude. five stars.

A beautiful and peaceful space with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, vege garden, birds, frogs, privacy. I loved using the outdoor bath. Bathroom and toilet spaces are very functional and clean. I love that there is no phone service, beautiful space to connect with nature. Used herbs and lots of beautiful spinach from the garden. Kenilworth and Imbil towns 15 minute drive, and can get service there if you need. Glen and Dominique are friendly and respect your privacy. Thank you so much guys.

Booked a one night stay here for my girlfriend and I’s 1 year anniversary. I got to say it was absolutely perfect. The owner Bev was incredibly kind, I had contacted her prior to the stay to set up an anniversary surprise and she nailed it. Had the most beautiful flowers on the bed along with rose petals set up in a heart, chocolates, face masks, candles for the baths, and that’s not even half of it. Not to mention the campsite was beautiful had plenty privacy, would 1000% recommend to stay here and we will definitely be returning again.

Me and my partner stayed here and we have to say it was the most beautiful & tranquil stay we have had so far in Australia. Bev & Ian were so lovely, helpful and attentive. The photos really do not do it justice. From the little welcome hamper, to the outside bathtubs looking at the stary sky it was absolutely incredible. Bev & Ian provided everything you could need to make this truly the most beautiful little stay. We would definitely recommend booking & will hopefully return!!

Weekend Trip to Shanlyn Farm • Breathe & Reconnect

We loved staying at Shanlyn farm for a quiet and peaceful off grid hideaway. This was our second stay but the first at “Little Soho” which was a well appointed and comfortable vintage caravan with a deck, a view and an adjoining ensuite off the deck. The birdsong and general ambience was so calming and Lynne’s hospitality and generosity was wonderful! Including her homemade apple pie, fresh farm eggs and chutney, and the ever present sensitive touches that she sprinkles around the property. We got to pet and feed the donkeys, horses and cows and learn about her eco imprint in this world. Highly recommend you stay here, be it in a dome or caravan. Recommend you book a reiki treatment or meditate at the dromedan , or do yoga at sunrise on the Sataya deck or just walk and enjoy the property. Everything is authentically and sustainably operating for the greater good of the environment and the animals and gardens under Lynne’s gentle care. You won’t be disappointed and we will be back!!

What a beautiful slice of paradise. This cottage is completely private and very quiet. If you are looking to get away from it all this is your place. The cottage has such charm and character and it was so lovely reading the story of the cottage history and all the environmental considerations both when building the cottage and ongoing. We had some lovely feathered and furry visitors which added to the charm and the provided bird seed for the cockatoos was a great touch. We had a very comfortable relaxing stay and will definately be back.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at dragonfly cottage. It has everything you could possibly need and the kitchen is very well appointed. The bathroom and outdoor toilet is very luxurious and we felt like it was a hotel standard of bathroom. It was a very hot weekend but luckily there was a fan in the cottage that ran off 12 V power so we managed to stay cool at night. Perfect for a couple, I think it might be a stretch with more than two adults. Glen was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely consider coming back.

It’s walking distance to the Conondale national park with fabulous crystal clear swimming holes everywhere to explore. The tents are very spacious and the cooking facilities have everything you need.
