Set on 35 acres on the banks of Charley Creek, it has a beautiful bush land setting adjacent to the creek. A truly tranquil experience.
Recently rebranded the name to Charleys Creek Campgrounds as it is more fitting, as there is no clover, not much of a hill, and not in America (Ranch). This will also tie in with our other entities - Charleys Creek Beef and Charleys Creek Brewing.
We have a number of projects on the go and planned for the Charleys Creek entities to make every stay a unique and authentic experience. "Not just a campgrounds, its the experience". You are welcome to visit us, get to know us, and be part of our journey.

The story of Clover Hill Ranch-
In 2019 our livestock enterprise was struggling with the ongoing drought. Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria.
One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different.
So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch.
So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch.
Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it;
enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. The feedback has been amazing.
We are continuously doing improvements to Clover Hill Ranch with many new Powered Sites with town water and new campsites right on the creek. And everyone loves it when we bring out our trailer mounted meat smoker to put on a smoked Wagyu feast!
Campers can purchase our Wagyu and Grassfed Angus beef to try while camping and can even buy some to take home.
Activities available at Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla:
include camping; fishing; kayaking; motorbike riding; bird watching
and bush walking.
There is accessibility for RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Pull through bays available. Camping in tents is allowed. It is walking distance to Chinchilla town centre and Lions playground. Farm tours available upon request. Bookings preferable in advance to avoid disappointment.

Come stay on our peaceful 88-acre property, surrounded by horses, cattle (including Scottish Highlanders), and friendly farm animals like sheep, chickens, goats, and turkeys. You’ll find seven dams stocked with fish and yabbies, and there’s plenty of opportunity to feed the animals or watch the lamb's play.
Pick fresh produce and fruit from the gardens, enjoy the well-equipped camp kitchen, and use the onsite porta-loo. There are loads of firewood available and bins for rubbish.
Explore the property by bike or on foot—there are great bushwalking trails, and you might even spot a koala! At the end of the day, relax and take in the stunning sunsets and star-filled night skies.
We’re just 15 minutes from Kingaroy and close to local wineries, nurseries, and three nearby dams for easy day trips.

What a beautiful spot! Quiet, green, hills for walking and tiring out the puppies 🤭. We were lucky to snag this camp to ourselves for a weekend! The owners have setup a little off grid kitchen and bathroom which added something we don’t get very often in the bush. Their beautiful mareemas camped up with us while we were there too! We had booked the “old fig tree spot” but found “oak tree” to be a bit flatter and shaded. Picnic table, chairs and table at both sites. Thank you for a great camp!

Absolutely beautiful stay, the family were so kind and helpful. As a single mum I was made to feel safe, offered help, they had my kids tour the farm and feed animals. It is such a gorgeous spot and gave me a lovely wind down before the school term. The locals are super friendly and the sunsets and starscapes are spectacular.
Definitely be back again!

Had a lovely one night stay at Bunya Red Farm. Mandy and Alan were very helpful and informative, showers and toilets well maintained, great views across to the Bunya Mountains, peaceful location. Learned a lot about capers, caperberries, peanuts and alpacas.

Nothing beats a couple of nights under the stars in a swag and the stars were incredible. It was very easy to find the location and it’s very handy that there is great reception as well. The facilities were lovely and clean and the bottle tree was perfect to set up in the shade with a good book. I was lucky enough to see an Echinda in the paddock as well. The campsite is carpeted with wildflowers that add a splash of colour and looking toward the dam in golden hour was beautiful. Perfect location to do several day trips to nearby national parks. I did Coomba Falls, the Paradise track at the Bunya Mountains and crows nest falls from this location. Watching the young foals frolic around in the nearby paddock was entertaining to watch as well.

A nice spot. Quiet, yet close to Chinchilla if you want to stretch your legs. We stayed on the unpowered side of the camp. Short walk to the shower block and lovely having space all around.

The facilities, camping spot, hospitality and the view was amazing and felt like home.
Unfortunately our 4 night stay wasn't long enough which made packing up to move on a debatable conversation for us.
It's hard to find somewhere like this....

We had the best stay at Mandy & Al’s Property. A working farm and so peaceful and tranquil with lots of space. The Amenities are fantastic and the hosts were legends. We loved the farm tours and there is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. Our first time visiting the Bunya Mountains region and thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back. Was the perfect getaway from the city and a little slice of farm life to keep the kids active and off the iPad on school holidays. So much fun.

Clear signage along the way. Amenities were clean.
The waterhole wasn't running whilst we were there, but it would be beautiful to swim in when there's been recent rainfall.

Quiet spot with great hospitality. Shower and toilet is functional, clean and stocked so you don't need to bring the extras. Take advantage of the camp kitchen to do the washing up. Would definitely return. The Fig Tree provided plenty of shade.

A lovely spot to stay, spacious, drive through sites. The amenities were very well kept, nice and clean. I enjoyed the morning birdsong, and a walk through the treed area full of birds. The groundsmen do a fabulous job watering keeping the place green.

Fab stay @ Waverley Homestead, would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made it very special - so quiet, and with stunning views over the paddocks, looking towards the distant mountains. Great for individual campers who like company, but would also be perfect for a small group of friends, as the campfire in the middle makes it great for socializing. Really enjoyed the company of Mikey - resident dog - who is such a sweetheart and hung with us until Gav came home to reclaim him. Gav is lovely - popped down to make sure we had all we needed, and we had a good chat, then he left us to enjoy the solitude. Awesome sunset, and although it was a super hot day, it gradually cooled down and we were able to have a wee campfire, which was magical. Stars were spectacular throughout the night and birdlife lovely to watch in the trees. Plenty of shade for us in our van and flat ground to park up on. Thanks for sharing your lovely land with us Gav & Andria, we'll be back. Melissa & Michael

What a great spot! The powered sites are very big and just what I was looking for, and Caitlin was more than hospitable for us during our stay. They are currently installing a small toilet/shower block which will enhance this place even more. Definitely recommend staying here if you can, the friendly dogs were also an added bonus!
