Bunya Red Farm is a 160 acre mixed farm in the South Burnett, with awesome 360 degree views looking out to the beautiful Bunya Mountains and over farmland. We have cattle; alpacas; grow capers, peanuts and other seasonal crops. The farm also enjoys a sky full of stars at night with the lights of Kingaroy and wind farm sparkling in the distance. Bunya Red Farm is 8 kms off the Bunya Highway, with the last few kilometres of gravel road accessible by 2WD, motorhomes or buses. TV and mobile reception is excellent. Pet friendly (see rules). Campers must have own amenities for their chosen site and leave no trace. Our property is located an hour from Toowoomba, 15min Dalby, 5min Kaimkillenbun (The Bun), has stunning views to the Bunya Mountains from all campsites. All Sites have views of the Bunya Mountains. Easy access sites, for short/long stays. We also have a campsite near the dam, which is full after good rains. The other sites are in elevated positions, that look down the valley towards the Bunya Mountains. The town of Kaimkillenbun (6 km) is known by locals as 'The Bun' easy driving distance to the "Bun Pub" which was built in 1912 and is a great spot to visit for a drink/meal if you are coming to the area. We are 30 minutes' drive, from the Bunya Mountains National Park which has a variety of different hiking/cycling trails which include lookouts and waterfalls. Campfires are allowed, permitting there are no restrictions in place. Campers must be self sufficient, bring their own toilet and take all waste with them on departure.

What a great spot! The powered sites are very big and just what I was looking for, and Caitlin was more than hospitable for us during our stay. They are currently installing a small toilet/shower block which will enhance this place even more. Definitely recommend staying here if you can, the friendly dogs were also an added bonus!

Peace, Serenity, Cows, Stars and a lovely friendly host. This is what you can expect when staying here at Bunya Mountain View. We had a lovely stay here and took our caravan up to the top of the hill. Directions were easy to follow and Chris was just awesome to deal with.

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.

Great open space with plenty of room for a drive thru site or large group with a big fire pit and amazing sunsets. Plenty to see around the area with the Bunya mountains up the road 20 minutes and the The Bun hotel five minutes away for a good feed and a cold beer with great service. Gav and Andria were very helpful on arrival and left us to enjoy our stay.

Extremely enjoyed the views and animals. The hosts were fantastic! Clean and tidy, plenty of room. Fire wood that was supplied was a great amount for the money. Only a short drive up to the Bunya mountains.

Had a wonderful time at Gav & Andria’s. We stayed for one night, wish we could have stayed longer. The grounds were super clean and well maintained. The firewood provided was of high quality and just the right amount. Cheap too! Our site had an epic sunset. Amenities block was well presented and we even got free puppy time with Michael (the dog). Will be back and hope to stay longer next time.

Spent a fantastic 4 days at Waverley Historic homestead. We enjoyed exploring the local area, but enjoyed just taking in the breath-taking sunset and the million star nights. Bunya's was 30 minutes away as is a few local towns and pubs. Gav and Andria were great friendly hosts. The grounds were well kept and we were free wonder around the property. Wasn't too busy for a long weekend and we had 2 nights with the whole place to ourselves. Our dog's had a ball with some areas they could run off their energy. Amenities were adequate for us, but you really need to be self contained. Flushing toilet not far away and water if you needed it to top up. Adding firewood bundle was also a great idea. Great location and vanue... we'll be back

From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d found something special. The property is beautifully maintained with wide open grassy spaces, rolling views, and a quiet that instantly slows your pace. There’s plenty of room to spread out, no traffic noise, and a deep sense of calm. Nature is everywhere - birds singing, breezes through the trees - and when night falls, the stars are absolutely magical. The skies are pitch black and crystal clear, perfect for stargazing by the fire or lying back and soaking in the cosmos. The host was lovely - warm, welcoming, and respectful of privacy. You can really feel the care and pride that goes into this place. There are no showers on-site, but it’s no problem. The Bunya Mountains Campground nearby has clean, free facilities, and honestly, the peaceful setting more than makes up for it. Perfectly located - just a short drive to Dalby and close to Bunya Mountains National Park for hiking, wildlife, and those ancient bunya pines. It’s a nature escape that’s still totally accessible. One of our favourite Hipcamp stays so far—tranquil, beautiful, and refreshing. We even had time to grab a bite at the Bun Hotel and got a surprise visit from EB with a chocolate egg delivery. Pure magic!
