Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria. One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different. So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch. So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch. Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it; enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. 9 nights at Charleys Creek Campgrounds

251109 - Being fully self-contained we chose a 'non-powered site' adjacent to the creek located away from all the powered sites to which there appeared to be plenty. Privacy is guaranteed with very easy level access for large rigs (we have a 24foot van plus a LC200) and we still had heaps of room to spare. Whilst we could only 'just' see our neighbours through all the trees of this well maintained property, in the far distance, we could not hear a thing. There are some amazing and very clean amenities. Great showers, toilets and laundry with a great family owned and operated private distillery on the property up at big shed that also accommodates saturday night entertainment and a cookout, worth the visit. Located not far from the centre of the Chinchilla township that is fully serviced with all the essential 'go to's for grocery, hardware, pubs etc etc you would not be short of finding what you are looking for. Don't forget to visit the Large Watermellon' slice so you can take your photo. It's a must do. Enjoy, have fun.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Rubern Lagoons. The facilities were great and it had a nice vibe. The NRL grand final was on that night so many of the other campers enjoyed watching it in the communal kitchen/dining area. Check-in was easy and it was simple to hook into the power and water.

Weekend Trip to Tinara, 200 acre cattle farm

The beauty of Tinara is that you have totally private camping remote from any neighbouring campers.There are only three sites and they are large. There are nice walks around the property and you will have a peaceful stay with the cows and friendly horses for company. The Bunya Mountains with the lovely NP trails and coffee shop etc are only 45 minute drive away. Quentin and Tamara are most friendly and although a little tricky to find the property and campsites at first, Quentin’s directions are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You do need to be self sufficient though and 4X4 is essential to access The Hill ( although easy enough). Communication with the owners was good and Telstra coverage is OK.

We stayed on an unpowered site and had plenty of space. The amenities were spotless and the variety of boats/kayaks on the lagoon kept our son busy. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Weekend Trip to Waverley Historical Homestead

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.
