What a remarkable place, the location down along the river with plenty of shade and green grass was so beautiful. The flushing toilet and shower were an added bonus. Heidi & Mike really are superb hosts and their secluded creek-side property is utterly amazing. We were spoilt for choice for creekside areas to park our caravan, all of the potential sites were equally stunning, beautifully level with a lush buffalo grass carpet. The wildlife was abundant and a true joy for birdwatchers - Victoia's Riflebirds, Wompoo Fruit Doves, Emerald Doves, Spotted Catbirds, Forrest Kingfishers and Honeyeaters. We didn't get to see a Tree Kangaroo but we did see Platypus swimming in the creek next to camp. Amazing!! Heidi & Mike, thanks for sharing your sensational slice of paradise, and we most certainly will return.

Dee put us on a nice flat, grassy, spot away from most other campers.. it was perfect! The creek is beautiful, crystal clear water and has spots deep enough to dip your entire body and spots shallow enough that our 2 toddlers could explore. Absolutely loved our stay, thanks Dee!

Loved this little property! We changed spots after chatting to Margie on arrival as she said there was a spot we might see a croc! It was a lovely spot, with beautiful views around. Margie was very accommodating and helpful! Great spot to then Hike Walsh's Pyramid and check out Behana Creek. Would stay again

Weekend Trip to Hectic Valley Farm

Hectic Valley is a young and working farm and we really enjoyed our stay! The sites are very generous, with plenty of shady trees (bring your hammock!) and some right next to the dam which hosts many birds and some of the farms poultry. Its dog friendly with lovely scenery and little bush tracks. Campfires allowed and some fire rings are provided. In the booking was the option to include the animal feeding in the morning which I'm so glad we did! We were very warmely welcomed and everyone had a wonderful time feeding and playing with the baby goats, chickens and geese, goats and pigs, camels and water buffalos and many more! Best stay for families with children including groups of families!

A beautiful peaceful spot on top of a hill with panoramic views of tinaroo dam and pasture. Enjoyed walking, feeding the goats in an adjacent field and kayaking in the courtesy kayaks made available for guests. A very welcome breeze and warm friendly hosts.

This is definitely a spot I would book again! Both Heidi and Mike are super friendly and welcoming. The area provided is huge, the site is well maintained, and the creek is beautiful with easy access and can be very close to camp if you wanted. We stayed for 3 nights but we honestly wish we could live there forever, do not hesitate to book this spot, not one single complaint!

Weekend Trip to Wakana Ridge Homestead

Wakana Ridge was a stunning place to stay for the weekend! Endless amazing views with easy access down to Tinaroo dam where the kids had a ball on the kayaks provided. Katrina and Jesse we're fabulous hosts, so welcoming and friendly. An added bonus too was feeding the cheeky goats and the kids collecting the chicken eggs. We absolutely loved it here and will be back.

Weekend Trip to Malanda Stream Private Camping.

We have had the privilege of experiencing this beautiful camp in Summer, Winter, and Spring, and each time it has revealed a new kind of magic. Picture this: You emerge from your camper shortly after sunrise to discover a pale mist curling through the trees, softening the edges of the waking rainforest; transforming your camp-site into a quiet dream. Dew-beaded spiderwebs cling to the trees, and glimmer across the sprawling green lawn like tiny gems as the first rays of sunlight filter through the fog. The intriguing call of the Wompoo Fruit Dove beckons you on a lazy stroll along the banks of the trickling stream. A flash of blue darts by you; the Azure Kingfisher is fishing for his morning meal. Movements in the tree just outside your camper door, the Olive backed Sunbirds are busily flitting from branch to branch. The world around you feels hushed and new-touched by the calm, lingering magic of dawn. For those of you that have visited before, there are some fun developments taking place at camp. I won't divulge too many secrets, you'll have to discover them for yourself. Hints: Where does that quirky creek crossing lead to? What exactly is a 'loo with a view' ? For those who haven't been, you can rest assured that Heidi and Mike are wonderful hosts that keep the property in mint condition, and are always looking for ways to improve your camp experience.
