We really enjoyed our stay at Rail Trail Retreat, we stayed for 5 nights so that we could explore the Tweed Coast, perfect location for this! Lovely grassy level sites, plenty of room for large setups and easy access to water. Would highly recommend doing the Rail Trail (we hired e bikes at Mooball) beautiful easy ride to Murwillumbah and back.

Such a beautiful spot to camp. Wide open field with lovely green grass overlooking the creek. The site was private, quiet and spacious with a ready to go fire pit and the toilet was very clean and a very handy and welcomed addition. The creek had a lovely deep swimming hole to cool down in as well as rocky shallows and mini rapids for the kids to play in. The star attraction though, was waking up to the cows roaming through the campsite. Such a fun experience for the kids. We are already booking to come back!

We had an amazing time staying at Site 3. Easy to get to with good directions. Remote enough to feel like you are away from it all, but close enough to town if you need anything. Loved swimming in the creek and waking up one morning with the cows right across the creek. Sites are all very well spaced apart. Will definitely come back.

Pear Tree Farm is an awesome spot in a quiet little village with lots of birds about. Has the added bonus of being close to M1, has power & water hookup. The hosts were great, I stuffed our booking date and it was no problem to change, with fast and clear communication. Highly recommend and we look forward to coming back.

I always enjoy my stay at the show grounds. Staff are friendly and happy to help. The pub is a 10 minute walk and often holds events, good meals, dog friendly. I particularly like being ‘out in the country’ with the cattle in the next paddock, the creek, birds singing etc, and yet just an hours drive from Tweed Heads

Great location at the eastern end of the northern rivers rail trail as well as close to ew Brighton (doggy) beach, Byron Bay, and Gold Coast. Bonus of property include power, water. Wi-fi and unleashed dog friendly large flat grassed property with plenty if space between three caravan/rv campers. Loved the friendly Crabbes Creek General Store (and bottle shop) and community centre (and very clean public toilet). Highly recommend this hip camp site!

Easy check in, pick your own site. Powered sites with access to water. Grounds were beautifully kept. Clean amenities. Easy stroll to tyalgum main st and pub. Pub food was really good and bonus that there was a pool & shady beer garden. General store in main st had great coffees. Skate park and cricket pitch next to grounds. Highly recommend.

Our family had a wonderful three-night stay at Tyalgum Showgrounds. We absolutely loved waking up to cows roaming in the nearby paddocks – such a peaceful, country experience that the kids especially enjoyed. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush green grass throughout, making it a pleasure to relax and let the children play.
The atmosphere was very family friendly, with a welcoming and laid-back vibe that made us feel at home straight away. Another big highlight was the convenient walking distance to the Tyalgum General Store, which has an abundance of organic products, as well as the Tyalgum Hotel, where we enjoyed the swimming pool.
Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would happily return and recommend Tyalgum Showgrounds to other families looking for a peaceful getaway.

Tyalgum Showgrounds was a beautiful spot to park up for a few days, stunning scenery with good amenities. We went swimming in some near by creeks and even got to see a platypus in the causeway just down from the campsites.

Caretakers were helpful and friendly. Facilities are everything you need.
Pub, cafe, general store and Gin bar (what more could you need), all within a very short walk. Gorgeous little town. I didn’t put the SUP in or go for a dip (even though it was stinking hot) as getting into the creek is a bit precarious with climbing over rocks etc.
