Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. The camping area is 2WD accessible but you will have to cross some creeks. You should be ok in the 2WD as the creek crossing has a small incline and decline. We welcome caravans, campervans and camper-trailers/ tents.​ You may see us pass by the camping area from time to time. We are a friendly as 😊 and invite you to have a coffee or beer with us. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Bindarah Downs offers easy access to our 4 acres and 3 levels of open and shaded, creek frontage. Only 15 mins from Rathdowney, close to Maroon Dam and several National Parks. Each site accommodates one set-up; e.g. one caravan, one motorhome, one camper trailer etc. Please make a separate booking if you have multiple camping set-ups. The creek offers campers cool waterholes to swim in on a hot day and picnic tables to enjoy your meals. Hang your hammock, lay back and enjoy the tranquil setting and cool breeze while the kids ride their bikes. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Children 16 and under stay for free but please let us know they are coming. Campfires are welcome but must be kept contained, you can help yourself to any fallen timber on the ground but please do not cut any trees. Weekend Trip to Bindarah Downs
This campsite was exactly what I was hoping for. It was quiet and peaceful, with a lovely creek nearby that made it feel really relaxing. The campsites were very clean and well cared for, which made our stay even better. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they made us feel comfortable right away. I’d definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a calm, enjoyable place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Bindarah Downs
We loved our time at Bindarah Downs. We were welcomed by Shayne and had a nice chat. The property was freshly mowed and well prepared for us. The surrounding creek was lovely to cool off in. We met some of the horses and they were given a Weet Bix treat and a scratch. It reached 36 degrees but sitting under the huge trees kept us comfortably cool. Fire wood for sale on site is a bonus too. Will definitely be back!

We decided to go to Christmas Creek bush retreat for our very first Caravan trip. My husband and I with our dog absolutely loved it. The sites were spacious with lots of room, not over crowded, and all sites face the beautiful Creek that is full of turtles, and has platypus (we didn't see them). We liked that it was off grid with no water or power as we wanted to try out our van to see how everything worked, and it was great. I would recommend this site if you want some peace and quiet. The whole site is so well maintained by the owners who live close by and it's an easy 40 minute drive from Beaudesert.

One of the most beautiful locations we visited on our trip. The views are amazing. You choose where you want to camp - we set up on campsite No. 2 and were the only ones around. Picked up some firewood at the entrance and roasted some marshmallows as the sun set. The site is very well maintained, very tranquil with the tree, wildlife and sound of running water through the place. Was good to do a little explore/walk of the creek and just relax under the stars. Shayne was very helpful with directions for us to get there and super accomodating. Not too long a drive out but felt like we were way out in the bush, no service and switched off for the stay. Was a lovely location with plenty of natural shade to utilise too. Will be back for sure :)

We loved our stay at Sleepy Hollow Manor! The property is incredibly peaceful, and waking up to cows grazing right outside the van was such a cool experience. The location is perfect too, so close to Pottsville Beach and an easy drive to Byron. We had an unexpected issue with our van and had to leave it on the property while waiting for a tow truck. Tom was amazingly accommodating the whole time, with great communication and a genuinely helpful attitude. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🚐🐄

Byron bay is a 15-20 min drive on a scenic drive, or visit the biggest little town in Australia Mullumbimby a 15-18 min drive. Bangalow and Lennox heads, Lovely beaches at Brunswick Heads or Ocean Shores are all within 35 min drive the choice is yours. Magical Minyon Falls with its powerful and wonderful waterfalls and uninhabited valley is a must. Don't forget to go bushwalking while you are there. There are also other national parks like mount Jerusalem that are close by. The farm does have orchards and bee hives. Slashing and planting of vegetables will be happening soon everything is organic. If you would like to purchase some organic farm jam just let me know. The stone wall entrance was constructed at the turn of last century and you feel like you have stepped back in time as you imagine those who came across the area as they were amazed at what the area had to offer. Remember it is the Australian bush so there could be snakes just. as there is with all bush in Australia about depending on the time of the year. There is a first aid kit on the property. The local hospital is in Byron 15 minute drive away. A toilet is completed. We have had a celebrity stay for a weekend so you never know who you will see. There are celebrities that live in Federal so you may bump into one. Please do not show up to the property or surrounding areas without placing a booking and receiving directions. If you arrive without placing a booking, you will be turned away. Please use the directions sent to you after placing a booking to stay at this property. If you arrive on a Saturday, as it is the busiest of days for us, the times for meeting is 6pm. Every other day is flexible with time for meeting. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Please check by prior email during the wet season for specific access requirements. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, pending there are no fire restrictions. We can supply seasoned firewood at competitive rates. Friendly pets are welcome, we also have dogs on the property.

Hi, an update: please note that due to roadworks in Mullumbimby, the Council is diverting southbound traffic out of that town along Myocum Rd, thus there will be increased traffic at commute times. Your campsite is on a grassy knoll of Myocum Farm with sweeping views of farmland and the Byron lighthouse in the distance. You will be the sole visitors and thus have all the space and amenities to yourself. Your onsite amenities include: a firepit with benches and table, bbq plates, free kindling, firewood available to buy, a hot private outdoor shower, your own flushing toilet, a tap and handsoap, a bucket and hose, bins for recycling and rubbish, a swing, and a small cubbyhut with board games and a bocce and cricket set. Please note our rates are very competitive and cover 3 visitors in our base rate. During your stay you can just kick back and relax overlooking the farm which produces beef cattle and fingerlimes, but with the convenient distance to towns and beaches, you can also use it as a base to very easily explore all the region has to offer: Byron Bay and Bangalow (15 mins), Brunswick Heads (10 mins), and Mullumbimby (6 mins), all offering great dining, local market, and retail experiences. the area has a plethora of activities to pursue: swimming, walking, fishing, great surfing, sea kayaking, ballooning, skydiving, horseriding, golf (eg renowned Ocean Shores golf club is 20 minutes away), and the wonderful rail trail for bikers or walkers can be accessed at Mooball, a picturesque 20 min drive away or try out the new mountain bike trail at the vey pretty township of Uki in the hinterland. Beautiful waterfalls are less than a half hour drive away. There are local businesses who can help you pursue these kinds of activities if you don't bring your own equipment.

Check the cafe out at @highwaymyocum Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road, with gentle hills around and magical views. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. Incredible privacy and quiet. There are goats (with babies) in a paddock next to Site 2, and a horse paddock with 6 horses. We do have a water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1). We have 6 different sites for caravan and RVs/ tents. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land. PLEASE make sure to take your garbage away and remember the campsites are for fully contained campers only (no toilets on site). You NEED to be fully contained to stay in the property. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. There are a few billabong/ creeks and a mowed nature walk path.

All located in a beautiful valley, 10 minutes from the luscious surroundings of the Border Ranges national park. The creek camping area is directly on the clean and pristine waters of Warrazambil Creek permanently feeding in directly from the border ranges which are just above. It is a quiet and secluded area with views of the ranges surrounding the valley. Plenty of room for you to get away, or bring the whole family. Our property is an easy walking distance to the local village where you will find the shop/ general store and the pub is dog friendly. It's around 1km to The Channon Craft Market grounds, and the markets are on the second Sunday of each month. Lots of crafts, clothes, jewellery, gifts, food stalls and entertainers to see and enjoy. This campsite is located right on the banks of the flowing creek. It's a private site with access to two good swimming holes. Enjoy warming your feet around the campfire in the evenings, subject to fireban conditions. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower and drinking water. There is access to rubbish facilities. For those wanting to explore a bit further we are 15kms from Nightcap National Park and the beautiful Protesters Falls. There is a walking track that leads through lush World Heritage rainforest right up to the falls. Well behaved pets are welcome. No hunters
