Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek, Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups!
The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole.
This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in
Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in.
The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite, are great for fishing and swimming as you wander the 2km of river frontage . They both have easy access off the main Kerry Road.
Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River.
Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.
Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided).
Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.
All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.
Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

The knight Ranch is a small hobby farm with beautiful flat grassy fields, Established trees providing plenty of shade. Wildlife a plenty. With resident animals tawny frog mouth and ducks.
The camp/caravan site is isolated out in the rear paddock. The most pristine area on the property.
As soon as you arrive you will begin to relax. Easy access off wallace road and easy pull through to the back paddock. Open grassy field with established trees overlooking a small dam and bushland.
The perfect place to set up, chuck a roast on and crack a cold one. Campfire locations set up with rocks. Sunrises through the trees over the wetland/bushes.
Close proximity (driving) to the river for a spot of fishing, the bay for an early morning walk or explore with the kids and the local tavern for some adult time.
A walk up Wallace road on an evening is quite nice if you are looking to stretch your legs.
Glass house mountains are a 20-25min drive for some great hikes and if you make it to the top some worthy photos.
Brisbane is 45min drive with no traffic.
Bribie island is a 22min drive with lots of great cafes and flat walks available.
IMPORTANT:
The Ranch is on the corner of beachmere and Wallace road.
Access is off Wallace road.
After you turn onto Wallace road it’s the first right at the yellow letterbox.
Pull through and down to the left.
Through the gate next to the container out into the back paddock. Please keep this gate shut.
There is a designated area for Hip-Camp straight and to the right near the fire pit and bucket.
If you have animals please clean up after them and dogs are to be on lead if they do not recall or like to chase wildlife. As we have wonderful bird life along with lizards and chickens on the property.
The fire pit has bricks around it. You can help yourself to any kindling but it’s BYO firewood. Please do not chop logs or collect logs from the property.

We stayed on site 5A and had a great experience. The area was clean and offered plenty of space to spread out and relax. While it’s not right by the lake, it’s one of the closer spots to the slip and slide, which was a fun bonus. Overall, a wonderful Hipcamp stay, we’d happily come back!

We loved our caravanning experience right next to the water at Lakeview camp. Plenty of room on beautifully kept lush green lawns really complimented the refreshing experience with the supplied canoes, kayaks and fire pits. Our sight was powered which was terrific in such an awesome setting. If you’re looking for a great Hipcamp, you won’t be disappointed at Lakeview Camp, QLD.

Such a beautiful location and camping spot. The lake/dam is lovely and we really enjoyed going for a swim and kayak. It was such a peaceful location and we absolutely loved seeing the cows swimming. It was not far from Mount tambourine so we enjoyed going exploring and doing some hikes and eating at the cafes. Overall we loved the camp ground.

Amazing stay at Lakeview! We camped with our 3 kids on site 2B and loved every minute. Something for the kids to always do. Slip and slides were amazing, just remember to bring fuel for the pump. Kids playground was great. 10/10 stay.
