Another great stay, thank you. Large space with both shade and sun for those chasing the rays for their solar. Fantastic clean amenities and even a couple of undercover areas to eat or relax. Great little spot close to Darwin. Heaps of shade amongst the trees, nice clean toilet block. Only down the road from Darwin river tavern which has a great new pool to cool off in. Good communication from Georgina, would happily come back.

Amazing place to stay. We had the whole section to ourselves. Great place to view the night sky. Wonderful amenities, fire pit, covered eating area, bathroom, etc. if only we had more time!!

Weekend Trip to Deckabout Dundee

We absolutely loved Deckabout Dundee. The outside toilet and shower were very well done. The deck with fans was incredible and we loved spending the afternoon there reading. Well thought out with the fire pit and big couch. Great trampoline for kids. Power and water access was great for our caravan. Almost don’t want to share about this awesome gem as we want it all to ourselves! We will definitely be back again! Angelique was great with communication as well! Thanks for hosting us!

Jean & John's Bynoe Stopover

The property is 40 acres of carefully maintained virgin rainforest. Our flora and fauna are exactly the same as nearby Litchfield National Park, unfortunately without any waterfalls. We have cleared about 10 acres of undergrowth leaving the trees for shade. Animals and other wildlife are abundant with the lilly pond on our front lawn being the only permanent water other than the Finniss River that they have in the area. We have hundreds of wallabies, goannas, frill necked lizards and plenty of bird life. Our pet Red Tailed Black Cockatoo "Butt" attracts the local wild ones, because she is happy they trust us so you can get closer to them than usual for photos. We have toilets and showers set up, the showers are cold water direct from the bore which meansminimum ground temperature so around 30 degrees not really cold at all. There is also a large wood fired BBQ in the same central area. The fish filleting table and boat cleaning area is also nearby. The local kites and other raptors including sea eagles and if you are lucky may see a wedgetailed eagle come in for fish scraps. Croc and dingo area - be aware! We are on the narrowest piece of land between the Finnis River and the Bynoe Harbour so although unlike my neighbours I haven't encountered crocs on the property I'm well aware that they would cross it. The dingos are heard at night as they pass through the area so we request that all food and scraps are kept out of reach as we don't want to encourage them...The pool is a magnet to children and adults alike, it is very old so we request that care and respect be exercised. Each afternoon we gather on the deck for happy hour with the drink of your choice. This is a lovely relaxing end to the day sharing camping adventures and learning about other's lives on the road and often at home too. This is generally Butts photo session and she can be a poser. It's a memory of your stay unique to here as Redtailed Black Cockatoos are generally shy but our Lady is happy to stand on your shoulder and even sqwauk in your ear if she's being difficult. We allow fires in pigs or other ground fire pits as well as the large bbq. We have a few fire pits that you may borrow. This is governed by fire conditions of course and usually we follow the local rating .

The property is safe and secluded in the rural suburb of Virginia. We are situated in the Darwin Rural area on 5 acres of bush land with tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool. There is a variety of bird life, lizards, frogs, and possums. You can feed our friendly butcher birds and King Fishers on the fly from our verandah or pool area. It's the dogs place really, we just pay the mortgage. Located 40 ish minutes from Darwin CBD and 15 minutes to Coolalinga you'll find our little patch of tropical paradise. Our lovely quiet 5 acres is home to an incredible amount of native birds, a resident frill necked lizard, 3 dogs who will adopt you, 2 horses who are always up for a pat and a carrot (or several!) an indoor cat (ginger, need we say more?) and us. We are a young couple who have lived and worked in the NT since 2009. We live a quiet lifestyle but only too happy to swap stories over a cold one in the afternoon. Your stay includes full access to power and water, a pool with spa jets and use of the laundry. Power and water are available from the ablution block with a toilet, shower and a washing machine along with a covered communal area including a gas BBQ, fire pits and BBQ plate for campfire cooking. A short 5-minute drive from shopping centres in Coolalinga and 10 minutes from the Gateway shopping centre in Palmerston. Relax on Bastin is centrally located and it serves as a great base to explore nearby Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks and only half an hour from the Jumping Crocs in the Adelaide River.
