Escape to a secluded campsite located on 25 acres of pristine NT bushland, just a short 10-minute drive from Palmerston. Our sites are equipped with power and fresh water, and features a covered area for meals, games and relaxation. As you sleep, listen to the tranquil sounds of the creek, just 30m from the camping area, and wake up ready to embark on your Litchfield National Park adventure, located conveniently nearby. This unique camping experience offers the privacy you desire, with only three campsites available. The creek, which flows from December to May, provides the perfect backdrop for your stay. Spot native wildlife such as wallabies, magpie, geese, and maybe even a crocodile during the wet season. Our property also features tropical gardens for you to explore and enjoy. Located in Virginia, just a 30-minute drive from Darwin CBD, our camp is the ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Litchfield National Park (40 minutes) and Berry Springs (20 minutes). You can even venture further afield to Kakadu and Arnhem Land. And with the Virginia Tavern just 500m away and Coolalinga Shops only a 2-minute drive, you can still enjoy the beauty of the bush while having access to modern conveniences. Please note, the sites do not have a toilet so you MUST have your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you leave. Campfires are permitted when local fire restrictions are not in place.With an exclusive private site you can enjoy the privacy of your own creek-side camp minus the crowds. Paperbark Camp
We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a single campsite, so we had the whole place to ourselves, making it incredibly peaceful and quiet. The host family were lovely and very welcoming, happily running power and water out for us. There was also a great little shed with an outdoor dining setting that we were welcome to use, which was a really nice touch. If you’re looking for a private, relaxing spot with friendly hosts, we’d definitely recommend staying here.

Great little spot, Sam is a lovely bloke who met us out the front and showed us where everything was on arrival. We were lucky enough to have the camping area to ourselves, pleasant location and convenient to Darwin. Comfortable undercover seating area a bonus. Would happily stay here again, thanks so much!

We loved our stay at Paperbark. Sam was extremely welcoming when we arrived and checked in with us throughout the five nights of our stay. The campsite was quiet and peaceful with plenty of room for our kids to run around. We were able to do day trips to Litchfield National Park and Darwin City. Sam had even thought of having pool noodles for us to borrow and take into the local swimming holes! We didn't have a campfire but the option was there. There was also a common area where we could sit outside undercover. We would recommend this campsite. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Great spot and friendly hosts…it’s a bit out of Darwin city but you’re there in 20 minutes anyway so it suited us perfectly. Lots of privacy and nice and quiet. Power and water available. Would definitely go again (much better than a caravan park).

What an absolute Gem! Sam was so welcoming, we also had a huge area to ourselves with power and water. We couldn’t have asked for anymore and will be highly recommending this spot to our travelling families we have met. Plus our kids also made some new friends with Sam’s kids. Highly recommended to anyone. Thanks again Sam, we’ll be back for sure.

Great camp close to Darwin

Paperbark Camp
We had a fantastic stay at Paperbark Camp. Sam was a great host, he settled us in and let us know about some fun things to do in the area. We had power so we could park by the creek in the shade to enjoy the view and keep the van cool. The Coolalinga shops are nearby with Coles, Woolies and a great laundromat. This camp is close to Berry Springs and to Darwin. We would definitely stay again.
