At The Good Life, we’re big on personal space. Every campsite is large, private and genuinely secluded, giving you the feeling you’re a long way from everyone and everything. We’re not the Hilton. In fact, we don’t provide any amenities at all. No toilets, no showers, no bins. Think of The Good Life as a safe, private slice of bush that feels like the middle of nowhere, because it pretty much is. You’ll need to be fully self-contained and take everything you bring in back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories. What you do with your time is entirely up to you. Park yourself in a camp chair with a book, wander the farm, or lace up your boots and explore around 70 acres of bush tracks. Swim, paddle, fish, play. Metres away is another private swimming hole ‘Pants Off Pond’ stocked with Silver Perch and Bass. So whether you indulge in pants off, or leave them on and just fish it’s up to you. Explore a little further and you’ll find ‘The Abyss’ a former micro quarry, 9m deep waterhole. The creeks have waterfalls, swimming holes, pure and clean, though are a rugged unmarked hike. The sites are site only. You’ll need to take care of your waste, water, rubbish and power. Generator is ok, we’re out of earshot, so is everyone else. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit and an abundance of ‘cut your own’ firewood upon the ground. Remember, fires this time of year are for ‘cooking only’, so be sure to bring those marshmallows… Pet Friendly, 4WD friendly with a bunch of serious challenges too… Horse friendly too, yep, there’s a yard to keep them too, up by the house. Accessible by 2WD with sites with enough space for any size caravan or motor home. While exploring, if you find a spot you’d rather camp, simply ask. We live on the property so help is nearby for any issues and the access road is shared. Peace, quiet and nature abounds.

Coutts Crossing township is 5 minutes drive up the road and offers a pub and bistro, live music, hot food shop, post office, general store and fuel station for supplies and a golf course for those keen to hit a ball. The local region is dotted with weekly markets and other tourist entertainment options. You can find a number of public riverside spots to spend the day lazing on a sandy beach and enjoying beautiful swimming holes within a short 5-10 minute drive of the property Although we are always introducing new attractions to our property, it is always a comfortable place to stay and will likely always be different each time you come back to stay. Developments in the pipeline will be the addition of animals, an orchard, a dam and Aquaponics vegetable production which are currently in the works. We currently have 18 chickens and 10 Angus cattle on the property and fresh organic free range eggs can be purchased at request. Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded, private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

Absolutely gorgeous property, can’t fault the beauty of this place and how well maintained it is! It was extremely busy though, wouldn't recommend for people looking for privacy or travelling with reactive dogs (we visited in Christmas holidays so probably less busy out of peak seasons). It only bothered us because due to having 2 cars we paid specifically for 2 separate sites. As our setup doesn’t take up much space we thought this would be perfect for us as the extra space would give us a bit of space away from other campers but due to it being so busy we had other campers park and camp on the space around us late at night almost parking us in and we had barely enough room to get out the next day. This just left us feeling as though we paid extra for something we didn’t get. We do prefer hipcamping over holiday parks due to normally having more space. It is very dog friendly though and most other campers were respectful and nice! The waterfall walk isn’t suitable for people with small kids or dogs. Only one person from our group made it there due to it being a tricky walk but they said it was incredible. Despite this, there is a beautiful creek with some swimming holes along the way to still enjoy if you can’t make it to the waterfalls and is still worth it. There is an awesome volleyball area and full amenities with hot water which was clean and well maintained and even a laundry! Would be perfect for those used to holiday parks just looking for a different experience!

My property consists of 100 acres with two rivers joining in the property with at least 1 km of river frontage. We are located in the foothills of the Nambucca valley. Pristine beaches are 20 minutes away, mountains and four-wheel drive tracks are a quick 20 minutes the other way. From here it's 15 minutes to Bellingen, 25 minutes to the famous Pub With No Beer and 5 minutes to the historic "verandah posts" town of Bowraville. Here you will find beautiful bird watching, animals and wildlife. Park your car or set up your caravan next to the river where you will wake up to amazing views. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, breathe in the fresh clean air, try a spot of fishing or sit back and enjoy some bird watching. Warm your feet by the campfire in the evenings. ​We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. At night you might see owls, wallabies or possums. The location is walking distance to the town of Bellingen for supplies. Our house / the car space for campers is located 1km from the Bellingen IGA supermarket (approximately 14 minutes walk). ACCESS: Please note we classify this as a walk-in campsite as there is a steep dirt road leading from our house down through a pocket of rain forest to the site. HIDING IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE! Pure. Unadulterated. WILD. 104 very private acres, securely sandwiched between a National Park Nature Reserve and State Forest. On a dead end road. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. We are currently working on a network of trails inside of the 100 acres. There is a "TRAIL" sign at the start of the trail behind the orchard. The Spa at Groundswell is now open at the owners home. Please contact the host for massage. Limited times are available. Our nearest beaches are just 5-10 minutes at the Yuraygir National Park Campground entrance and the beautiful quiet beach town of Brooms Head. Brooms Head has a general store and a snack shack, coffee and convenient essentials. Fishing, boating, spear fishing, surfing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, kite surfing, motor bike trails (Candole State Forest), coastal walks, and beach walks. Yamba is a 30 minutes drive and has great surfing beaches, plenty of café options, shopping, a lighthouse, breakwall walk and fishing. Never Never Park is a Sub-Tropical Rainforest property which borders the ancient Gondwana World Heritage National Park on 2 sides including along Coopernook creek. Located half an hours drive Northeast of Dorrigo and 1 hour West of Coffs Harbour (via Eastern Dorrigo Way) in the beautiful Bellingen Shire, surrounded by various National Parks with 4WD tracks, crystal clear creeks, waterfalls, cascades, swimming holes and picnic areas. The property is 400 acres featuring spring fed mountain streams, cascades and waterfalls that run through its central gorge. First surveyed in 1906 and logged in the days of bullocks and hand saws, remnants of a bygone era remain including the “Jack Feeney Memorial Giant Tallowwood Tree”, a Champion Tree of Australia listed in the National Register of Big Trees. It’s over 50m tall, more than 1000 years old, and was around long before Captain Cook reached our shores. The landscape starts in dense Sub-Tropical Rainforest opening up to lush green pastures overlooking the amazing views to the west showcasing hedge-rowed rolling hillsides and 1600m high mountain range towards Marengo. In case of flooding, a full refund will be issued, or an alternate campsite on higher ground may be available. While the photos showcase the stunning blue waters, please note that the water’s appearance may change after heavy rain. You are welcome to enjoy campfires, provided there are no local restrictions. King Country can be your basecamp to explore thousands of acres of state forest and national parks — perfect for motorbike enthusiasts. The sites are mostly flat with very easy access. Each site includes a fire pit, and timber is provided. The beautiful beaches and rivers of Wooli and Minnie Water are approximately 30 minutes away. Grafton is about 20 minutes, and Yamba is around 45 minutes. In the nearby town of Tucabia, you’ll find a general store, bottle shop, and petrol station. Or drive a little further to the historic river port town of Ulmarra, where you can enjoy a meal at the Commercial Hotel overlooking the mighty Clarence River.

This is an old peach farm, set over 25 acres with a quarter of the property cleared (our house and gardens there) and the rest left untouched. Only seven minutes off the Pacific highway but it feels like a world away. Perfect for a nice overnight stop. We've set up the camping area in a nice clearing immersed into the lovely natural forest surroundings. You will be camping next to an awesome lake where you can go for a paddle or a swim. Other than the summer hum of cicadas or the cackle of some resident kookaburras, it's peaceful and private. There are plenty of roos and wallabies around, as well as lots of birdlife including black swans in the lake. You can paddle in the lake and try to catch a fish there. We've set up a little homemade pontoon. So far only one spot to camp (that will fit up to 4 cars if you come in a group), so you will have the place all to yourselves. The next house (our Shouse) is at least 300m away from the camping area, so solitude and privacy is guaranteed. The property is close to plenty of beach options or nice little towns such as Woolgoolga (25 min south) and Grafton (25 minutes north).
