There are plenty of activities including bush walking, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the spa, strolling to the creek or sitting by the bar. We have unpowered campsites along and within walking distance of the creek. Caravans, tents and roof top tents all welcome on 250 acres of private rural property set in the majestic Wako Mountain Ranges. There is an animal petting farm for the kids to enjoy and a bar for the adults to have an afternoon drink. Enjoy access to a communal pool, tennis court, commercial kitchen, shower and toilet. There is a BBQ entertaining area, outdoor communal fireplace and sitting area for your comfort. Please note our drinking water is fed from the creek, you are welcome to purify it or bring your own drinking water. We have free range animals on our farm and ask that you keep your pets on leash when not at your campsite. Come enjoy a farm stay on our working farm, Altamira.

Enjoy 10 acres of nature, with lots of peace and serenity yet just 10min to boutique town of Wingham, 30min to beautiful Old Bar Beach (dog friendly) 25min to Taree and just 30min drive from A1 highway. Wingham has award winning coffee and dining, golf club, town hotel with great meals, swimming pool, bowling club, monthly markets, Coles, fuel, chemist, rifle range, clay pigeon shooting, famous brush walk to enjoy the resident bats and much more. Shared camp kitchen available with gas oven/stove and some pots, pans, utensils etc. Camp kitchen has table and chairs and wash-up facilities with tank water. Solar shower also set up. We have two full dams that host our 6 ducks, free range chooks (collect your own fresh eggs daily-not available in winter) a couple of farm cats and awesome birds-Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Kookaburras. Also spotted a fruit bat on our gravillia tree today. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop and if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own water, shower and toilet. Although we do have a porta potty that can be hired. Nearby Wingham showgrounds has a dump point. CARAVANS and TENTS-Plenty of spots to choose from- open paddock or shades amongst some trees. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 3 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided) or shared one is provided by camp kitchen. Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. The campsite is 2WD accessible and has plenty of space for your caravan, campervan or camper trailer. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.

This delightful self contained cabin is a perfect getaway for you to work on your project – be it visual art; a book; a film script; photography or simply forest breathing to clear the mind. The cabin is off grid, includes a small kitchenette with 2 burner gas stove, fridge, has double bed and 2 single beds. We have a BBQ and fire pit. This is rustic living, no flash flush here but a practical long drop eco-friendly compost toilet and a fantastic gas hot water shower out in the elements! As we are 45 minutes from the closest town, so you will need to fuel up before you head up the mountain. Also bring drinking water and all the food you will require for your stay. You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows sheets etc. we are on tank water and at times it is low! Dogs are welcome but please bring their own bedding. The property is also home to local wildlife and filled with lots of old trees, plants and flowers to enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony. Loads of walking tracks nearby; the Legendary Ellenborough Falls is 5 mins by car or half hour walk through the Elands Village Hour and half from Port Macquarie and Forster and one hour from Taree in the hinterland from Wingham or Comboyne (coming from Port Macquarie). There is an endless network of gravel roads and fire trails waiting to be explored by vehicle or mountain bike, taking you through the national parks, state forests and undulating farmlands of the Bulga Plateau. 600 metres above sea level on clear nights it feels like you are close enough to touch the Milky Way!

The Back Road Van is a classic 1970’s Viscount caravan that sits on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley. It is nestled between the Bulahdelah State Forest and rolling green pastures. (Note - from Bulahdelah township we are 5kms of sealed road, then 2kms of unsealed gravel road, the road is suitable for all vehicles.) We are a 7 minute drive from Bulahdelah village, 3 hours from Sydney, 1 hour from Newcastle, and 40 minutes to beautiful beaches like Hawks Nest, Seal Rocks, Boomerang and Blueys, so it’s an ideal getaway for couples. The caravan sits privately in the front paddock of our property. It is separate from the main house and is covered by a large shelter that includes an open seating area, with a small gas BBQ provided. There is also an outdoor bar table that’s perfect to enjoy a coffee or cocktail. The van is a 22 foot 1978 Viscount Supreme decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. It features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided, a lounge area plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras provided such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. The van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. Just behind the van you have your own separate bathroom, with shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels are supplied. Your pet is welcome if it is well behaved and on a leash. When booking - PLEASE ensure you tick the appropriate box regarding pets so we know if you are bringing one. You are welcome to enjoy the entire property which includes a veggie garden, dam and an arbour to sit and enjoy the view. There is also a plunge pool next to the main house that you are most welcome to use during the warmer months, and a fire pit is available during the cooler months.
