Push bikes and canoes are available for use, and there is great fishing along the Lansdowne River on the way to Harrington and arguably the most beautiful beach on the Mid North Coast—Crowdy Beach. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. The property has spectacular views that you won't find anywhere else. We are in a quiet rural area where the neighbours can't be seen. There are walking tracks for you to explore the natural environment. There are many kangaroos, wallabies and numerous amount of birds in the area. The property backs onto national park. There is a river that is only a few kms behind the property that you can put a small boat in to take you out to Saltwater Beach. Old bar beach is a 12 minute drive, Forster-Tuncurry is 15 minutes and the beaches of Pacific Palms a 45 minute drive. There are file piles near the bush sites that you can help yourself too. If in need of groceries or supplies Taree supermarkets and Stores are only 10 minutes away.

What a beautiful place!!! We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! Rick and Cheryl’s place is so warm and welcoming, nothing is a bother! The kids swings and bikes were an added bonus and we really enjoyed the farm tour. 2 nights at Bundilla River Camp

Me and my partner had a great time camping here. Didn’t have time to do the farm tour, but just setting up metres away from the river was enough. short walk or drive to the river access point, communal kayaks and boogie boards were an amazing touch. River water was a good temperature, a very picturesque creek and some incredible birdlife. Rick and Cheryl were both very friendly and reachable but not overbearing. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic hipcamp. Sites was large and green. Best drop toilets i have ever seen. River access was super easy. Loved the animal feeding experience. The fresh backed cakes were delicious. Could not recommend this more highly. Would definitely be back if we are up this way again. Thank you

Would definitely recommend to anyone it’s a beautiful spot the hosts Rick and Cheryl are soo lovely and friendly and welcoming they take very good care of the area their daughter comes down every arvo with fresh baked cakes and cookies to buy which are very yummy the kids loved going up to their place to feed the animals and and we had soo much fun swimming there the water is soo nice we spent a lot of time just floating around on our floaties can’t wait to go back there dog friendly very relaxed and only about a 20 min drive into Port Macquarie If you need to get anything

What an amazing camp site. The sites are large, there are a few powered sites but mostly unpowered. Cheryl and Rick were fantastic hosts. The river is stunning and they provide plenty of kayaks free of charge for you to use. The drop toilets are in impeccable condition. They provide farm tours for the kids to pat and feed animals, and their daughter sells fresh baked treats every afternoon to curb the sweet cravings. The camp site is only 30 minutes from Port Macquarie so very accessible. We will definately be back.
