After crossing the second cattle grid on Bumbo Road, keep left (following the river around). At the T-intersection turn left over Mick's Bridge and you are now on Riverview Farm.

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way. 376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds. The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views. in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this).
