I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here. Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied. Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. If in doubt call. 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow. 6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure. 7) We cannot control the wind, the sun, rain, or lack of rain.

We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. The Back Road Van is a 22 foot Viscount Supreme caravan, circa 1970's, in fairly original condition. Sitting on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley, and only a 7 minute drive from the village of Bulahdelah. (Note : 5kms of sealed road and 2kms of unsealed gravel road from town - suitable for all vehicles.)  The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Inside it features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided; a lounge area; plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. (Note : the van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. ) The van is covered by a large shelter - including an open seating area with lounge; table and chairs, a breakfast bar; and small gas BBQ. There is a fire pit which can be used in Winter and Autumn and when fire restrictions allow. We supply all wood for the fire. It also has its own separate bathroom, with shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels are supplied.  Our Pet Policy. Your pet is more than welcome at the Back Road Van. Please keep on leash around the property to protect local wildlife. The space inside the van is NOT suitable for two or more dogs (unless they are a tiny breed). Located only 8 minutes drive from the historical town of Stroud which was settled by the AA Company in the 1820's as a food growing area. There are still many beautiful buildings from that period to explore. A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle. Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township) We hope to make your stay a pleasurable one with many happy memories made. The Back Road Van is a 22 foot Viscount Supreme caravan, circa 1970's, in fairly original condition. Sitting on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley, and only a 7 minute drive from the village of Bulahdelah. (Note : 5kms of sealed road and 2kms of unsealed gravel road from town - suitable for all vehicles.)  The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Inside it features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided; a lounge area; plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. (Note : the van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. ) The van is covered by a large shelter - including an open seating area with lounge; table and chairs, a breakfast bar; and small gas BBQ. There is a fire pit which can be used in Winter and Autumn and when fire restrictions allow. We supply all wood for the fire. It also has its own separate bathroom, with shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels are supplied.  Our Pet Policy. Your pet is more than welcome at the Back Road Van. Please keep on leash around the property to protect local wildlife. The space inside the van is NOT suitable for two or more dogs (unless they are a tiny breed). If guests leave the property for any period, we ask they do not leave their pet alone inside the van.

Our second visit to Willowbank and it was just as beautiful as the first time. Owners Jo and Ian are lovely people. We and our friends shared Paperbarks site with our two caravans. Fantastic extremely large and private site with open grass area and lots of shade by the river. We spent the weekend in the river with the kids floating around on our inflatables. Only ankle to waist deep. Cows and horse came to visit and say hello on our second morning. Highly recommend for a fantastic off grid camp. There is public toilets down the street (3min drive), and the quaint town of Stroud is only 10 minutes with an IGA, cafes and beautiful 2nd hand/ local craft stores.

We loved camping at the rapids for a relaxing couple of nights. It was the perfect spot for a group getaway. The rapids and the deep swimming area nearby were incredibly refreshing on a hot day. The campsite had plenty of space to spread out comfortably, and the scenery was amazing. Joanne was lovely and finding the campsite was easy.

She Oaks Absolutely stunning spot, quiet, and private. Beautiful big oak tree for shade with also plenty of sun for solar. Plenty of options for setup. Site is flat and grassy, private river access Perfect for couples or a couples. We stayed with our dog who also loved it with swims and plenty of room to explore. We will most definitely be back. Telstra phone reception. Host Jo was extremely friendly and helpful from m the start.

We had an amazing time staying at Mei’s! The area is quiet and remote and the views are amazing! We arrived a day late due to flight cancellations and Mei offered us an extra night for free which was very kind. She was very accommodating and made everything very clear for us. Shower and toilet facilities are great and showers were nice and warm. Fridges are very useful for storing food and freezers had ice lollies for guests which was a nice touch! Would 100% recommend staying here. Thanks Mei!
