Come and enjoy the serenity at Kurrajong living. We are on 64 acres of sloping country in the Liverpool plains shire and 40 min from the capital of country music Tamworth. We are offering sites that are all self-sufficient and range from motorhome accessible to 4WD accessible and further away from the homestead for tents. Sleeping under the stars, back to nature, and back to basics. We do have stock grazing in the same area and some are friendly whereas others are shy, we do ask to respect them and considering they are part of the experience😉. Pets as in dogs are only permitted after discussing it directly with us, and they would need to be kept contained as in tied up. There are Roos, native animals, and other livestock on neighbouring properties and we respect the natural instincts of dogs. You will be shown to your campsite and have free access to come and go of course. You are welcome to spend time at the main house and there is phone reception across the property. We can also provide fresh eggs from our chickens! We are offering an experience of staying in nature and back to basics in a peaceful environment away from the hustle and grind. And close enough to explore the surrounding towns of Wallabadah and Quirindi or even the capital of county music Tamworth. We look forward to welcoming you here at Kurrajong living 🌸

We are 12 kms from the New England Highway, 20 kms from both Wallabadah and Nundle, and 57 kms from Tamworth. Of the 3 towns, Nundle is the most historic - not surprising given its gold mining beginnings. But its been the grazing community on which its thrived since the latter part of the 19th century. Gold mining has largely been superseded by forestry and tourism, with Chaffey Dam providing a great playground for water sports, and Sheeba Dam in the natural beauty of Hanging Rock. The history of the region is told on the walls of the Peel Inn, which along with 'Glenoak', a once leading merino stud in the district, now cattle property, has been owned by the Schofield family since the 1860's. In the last 50 years, Robert and Margaret Schofield have been delivering a tasty combination of traditional Australian and Asian dishes, depending on the backgrounds of visiting chefs. Our property currently runs the 2 leading breeds of dairy sheep - East Fresians and Awassis. of sheep, for on farm cheese production. Our adjoining neighbors run 800 head of Angus breeders. The area abounds with wildlife. Park or pitch your tent within the grounds of the house, with access to outdoor bathroom (toilet and shower) facilities, adjacent to the laundry with washer and dryer. There is access to a picnic table, rubbish facilities and reliable wi-fi. Our property is ideal for the quiet escape. Goonoo Goonoo Creek is on our property. Quality dual suspension mountain bikes are available to guests to ride on the property or adjoining backroads. Or you may prefer to go for a walk instead. Stay toasty around the campfire in the evenings as you gaze at the night sky. The property is 2WD accessible and there's sufficient space for a caravan, motorhome, campervan or camper trailer, and of course, tents. Dogs and cats are not allowed.

Our property is an operating farm with cattle and horses. Native wildlife and vegetation, wooded and cleared areas, dams, a waterfall and running creek in wetter seasons, hilly and undulating paddocks. Wedge-tail eagles, owls, cockatoos and galahs, kangaroos and echidnas are all regular visitors here. This is an appreciation of the Australian bush and primary production scenery. Each of our sites are completely private from each other, from our homestead and from neighbours. From your site take in views of the valley dotted with crops and grazing stock. Pot some yabbies, cool off in a dam, keep your eyes peeled for snakes and echidnas. Explore local areas such as Nundle (45 minutes to gold panning and the Woollen Mill) and Currabubula (30 minutes to the Curra pub), visit Goonoo Goonoo Station (magnificently restored and renovated historic sheep and cattle station now also an event centre and restaurant) and Dungowan Brewery (30 minutes to remodelled shearing-shed-come-restaurant and farm animal zoo). Church on Sundays is at St Lukes at 9:00am (7 minutes to local evangelical Anglican and morning tea is served). Four wheel drive access only. Maximum speed 20kms per hour. No power. No running water. No amenities. Please bring your own waste management which can be deposited to the green lid bin at the front gate. Campfires strictly only between 1 July and 1 September and never on a windy day.

1 night at LOOMBERAH TERRACES

A beautiful view especially at sunset. Tight access with a medium sized caravan (15ft off-road hybrid). Freedom to pick a spot wherever we liked in the paddock. Unfortunately lots of thistles and long grass and no mown area so boots were necessary.
