We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Jaime and Nathan are honestly some of the nicest people you’ll meet. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The campsite itself is awesome—huge spaces for tents and plenty of room for the kids to roam. The café has seriously good coffee (a lifesaver for parents!), and everyone we met was so helpful and friendly. The kids loved the tractor ride and meeting the farm animals—it’s the kind of simple joy that makes camping special. There’s even a sandpit where the kids played for two hours (which gave me a chance to doze off :) ). They said they wanted to stay there forever!

Our stay with Robert was honestly amazing! The space itself was big, spotless, and really well set up. The shower?l and toilet really good. And the firepit area was such a vibe. The pool was chef’s kiss — perfect for cooling off and floating around. And the absolute stars of the place? His three adorable dogs who decided we were part of their squad and played with us the whole time. We were obsessed. Robert himself was incredibly kind, sweet, and super attentive — the kind of host who makes everything feel easy and welcoming. 100% recommended

We had an awesome time camping here! Robert was very welcoming, knowledgeable and super friendly. We took our motorhome out for its first rodeo and found the site peaceful with great amenities and easy access. The pool and friendly dogs were a bonus which our kids loved. Highly recommend!

Easy site selection options. Friendly manager on site. No water or power to sites so plan accordingly. Great views across the river. Stunning location. Small shop on site. Try to avoid camping next to school groups as they are guaranteed to be noisy as I found out. Would happily book here again.

Beautiful campsite with plenty of shaded areas. A lovely forest at the back of the property to wander around in. Also the location of the Bunyip gives easy access to the national parks in the area. Lisa is easy going and very helpful. The amenities are in my view to rustic. Definitely worth staying a few nights.

Glenroy Cottage and Camping is a beautiful and peaceful spot to relax and unwind. The whole area is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for a quiet getaway. I used my own toilet during the stay, but the overall campground facilities and environment were still excellent. The rope swing by the water is a fun highlight and adds to the charm of the place. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Overall, a lovely spot with great vibes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice camping location around Hartley!

Such a great little getaway! Hard to believe it’s only an hour from Sydney. The campground is super spacious and really quiet, and being in the middle of a fruit orchard made it feel extra peaceful. Loved waking up and walking over to the café for a morning coffee. The farm animals were cute, and fruit picking was a fun bonus. The only downside was the bathrooms—they need a bit of TLC and they’re a fair walk from the campsites, which isn’t ideal at night. But overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back!

I had a really enjoyable stay at Canoelands orchard camping. There were lots of animals on the property, which made the experience really fun and unique. We also loved that there were fruit-picking opportunities right on-site. Another highlight was the café – being able to grab a fresh coffee in the morning was such a nice touch.
