This is a beautiful site that feels very remote and peaceful, the owners have a bell tent set up in a small cozy area of the bush land with mattresses inside. Additionally they provided us with a diesel petrol mix to help start up a fire and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to enjoy the serenity of the nature. The area is abundant with wildlife, we actually woke up to a herd of goats walking thru our campsite which was an amazing morning surprise. I feel I need to also mention, this place is called stary ponds for a reason, the stars are nothing short of amazing. As someone who loves stargazing and photographing the night sky I absolutely loved the experience here.

Easy access, all level had 22ft caravan in there with Plenty of space. Slight road noise from Hume hwy. you can find firewood in nearby bushes, chickens for kids to see. A little pricey but would stay again.

Yes you can hear the highway traffic all hours but it’s not significant enough to worry you.
Lovely hosts.
The only negative is the lack of signage.
I think the sites should be numbered or named and allocated.
The pathways through the bush to the river should also be sign posted, not easy to navigate, i can see visitors getting lost .
Would I come back? Definitely

What a great spot to take it easy, Dana was the best with a great welcome. What a wonderful place to camp. Walk to the River it does takes a little effort to get down there but worth it, and not far from Berrima to walk around the town and have lunch at the pub.
Lots of fire wood you just have to look for it.
Thanks again, we stayed 9 nights lots of star to see while sitting around a fire.
We will be back as not for from Sydney.

The hosts were super accommodating, and helped my partner and I find the perfect space to camp. The name is for good reason as you have a spectacular view of the stars. The host gave us a bowl of home grown vegetables and brought us a nice hot meal on the second night! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Our experience at Stary Ponds Camping Sites was nothing short of amazing. The location itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway — but what truly made our stay exceptional was the owner. Truly the best of the best — incredibly kind, generous, and genuinely cares about the guests' experience.
We were even offered a caravan for free, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our trip extra comfortable. On our final day, the owner invited us to enjoy a glass of fresh organic carrot juice, and let me tell you — it was the best carrot juice we've ever had! It was the perfect way to end a wonderful stay.
Highly recommend Stary Ponds for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and memorable camping experience. We'll definitely be back!
