Situated 2.5 hours south of Sydney and 2.5 hours from Canberra, Fat Lamb Farm currently offers 2 grassed areas for tents and self-contained RV’s in the rural township of Wandandian. Enjoy the many species of wildlife, kangaroos, native birds, reptiles and the resident wombats. You can watch the cows and sheep graze. Depending on the time of year you may also view the wonders of new life and witness the beauty of lambing time. Bring a kayak or canoe and enjoy the views along beautiful Wandandian Creek. Challenge yourself to reach the mouth of the St Georges Basin or throw a line and catch a fish for dinner. We are pet friendly; however, all pets must be on a leash or lead at all times due to the livestock on property. Remember to have your furry family member protected from ticks and don’t forget to protect yourself as well. Campfires are permitted in designated areas outside of the Bushfire Danger period. Fire pits will be supplied when you are within those periods. These are unpowered sites and you will need to be self-contained with camping toilet, shower and water, taking all waste with you when you go. You will be camped 15 minutes from Huskisson. Jervis Bay, Sussex Inlet if you feel like venturing further for a swim in the ocean or a meal in a restaurant.Enjoy the many species of wildlife, kangaroos, native birds, reptiles and the resident wombats. Wombat Flats Campsite
Wombat flats was the perfect weekend getaway, super convenient and close to everything, but felt like you were worlds away. Despite the rain forecast we got lucky and saw so many stars, as well as 2 wombats hanging out in the campsite on the way in on friday night! Directions to get in were clear and easy to follow, and we were greeted by 2 lovely horses and lots of cows. Super private, my partner, our dog Betty and i loved the little getaway listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.

Great place to camp. Very private with good access to the creek. My wife and I loved staying there with our dog. Will definitely be staying there again in the future.

We had a great time at wombat flats! We had the place to ourselves and it was lovely. The spot was shady and fairly flat, not much leveling needed. The kids enjoyed watching the cows and sheep and trying to catch a fish in the creek. Was nicely central to exploring the region around Jervis Bay/Sussex Inlet etc.

Wombat Flats Campsite
Just returned from a weekend with our old dog at Wombat Flat, great place to unwind. Large level area that is private and quiet. Plenty of shade if it’s hot and about 50m from a wide slow flowing creek (beware submerged branches from recent floods?). Very peaceful, no boats, tiny whisper of traffic noise that gets drowned out by the birds. Wombat one night, friendly horses and cows if you go for a wander thru the paddocks. Thought it was a little pricey but there was a pile of cut wood at camp and the solitude was just what we were looking for. If you’re looking to be entertained you won’t find it at Wombat Flats, strictly BYO fun in whatever form you choose. Sanctuary Point, Huskisson,

This camp is easily my family’s favourite new campsite. Well maintained and completely private, with direct access to the river for the kids and dogs to splash around in. You know it was a winner when my 4 year old daughter was saying “can we stay here forever daddy”

I loved camping near the water at Fat Lamb farm.. we had fires and cooked in the coals. Wombats visited at night and the horses, cows and sheep were wonderful to be near. So central to visiting beaches and other tourist spots. It was a wonderful time and special being alone. Leeanne was a great.

It was just awesome to finally set up a camp you didn't have to worry about. Didn't need to secure any gear when going out adventuring for the day. Set up all our solar in the perfect spot to charge then enjoyed th e beautiful little towns and gorgeous beaches close by. Nowra was well appointed with everything we needed. Open fires every night using the provided fire pit and the nearby river for utility water was so convenient and enjoyable

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this isolated and tranquil camp site. Good wildlife experience as well as a chance to get close to the sheep, horses and cows (our favourite being the brown calf). Plenty of room for our off-road camper. Close to Jervis Bay, Sussex Inlet and Ulladulla. Thanks to our host Leeanne for sharing her little bit of paradise.

Amazing private swimming hole at the creek. Walking distance (but out of sight) to a well-stocked petrol station. Nice level private and grassed camping area. Good communication from the hosts. Would definitely go back again.

Our stay was fabulous, the camp is exactly as described and a perfect location. Nice and private by the creek and a super quick drive to the beautiful Huskisson! Leanne was extremely helpful and the directions were easy to follow. We would highly recommend this camp and would definitely stay again!!

Happy to recommend this site. It was peaceful and picturesque, with loads of frogs croaking at night, fish in the creek, and a fire pit and wood provided. Thanks for hosting us, it was fantastic. We will definitely come and stay again.

Loved the place, 100s of mullet swimming in the water all weekend. Nice & quiet/relaxing spot! Host is also such a lovely lady!

We absolutely loved out stay here. The tranquility was magnificent and we had the whole space to ourselves. We enjoyed warm fires, paddling down the river and having this as a base so we could venture out to Huskisson. My favourite part was seeing the sunset through the trees and I was able to capture the most beautiful glamping shots. We loved watching the beautiful white horse who was always surrounded by the sheep. We will definitely come back as we love our stay.

The Sheepyards
Plenty of flat land for a caravan/ motorhome or camper trailer. Must be self contained. Very quiet and serene and very quick replies by the host thru HipCamp app if you have any questions. Directions were spot on and the campsite is only 15 mins from Jervis Bay/ Booderee NP.

We loved our 3 night stay here on Wombat Flat. It was a lovely spot along a creek with plenty of grassed & shaded areas. There was evidence of wombats about but didn't sight any. Thanks Leanne for welcoming us to your Fat Lamb Farm.
