Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way. 376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley on the NSW Far South Coast. Roa is a family owned working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park, giving it a sense of remote seculsion whilst being only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cobargo. The valley is a 35 minute drive to the stunning beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. 1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

The kids will love playing in the Shoalhaven River (1km from property) where the rocks are ever changing as they are washed downstream. Wyanbene Caves are approx 6.5km away. Whilst you can enter the start of the cave, a permit is required for real cave exploration. We are centrally located being 90km from Cooma (partially dirt), 140km from Canberra and 100km from the coast at Batemans Bay. The closes town of Braidwood is 45km away. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

'Murrumbooee' ~ Waterfall Paradise, is 100 acres of a private, solitary, bushland, waterfall retreat, bordered by South East Forest National Park on two sides. Enjoy a two day weekend, intimate immersion in nature at it's best! Take a peaceful break to reconnect and bathe in the natural surroundings. We offer a sauna/sweat + cold plunge package (see 'extras' for booking), as well as a myriad of opportunities, all at your own pace such as ~ wildlife watching, stargazing, bushwalking/hiking, trail running, rock hopping, nature photography/journalling, swimming in the waterholes or just sitting around your campfire, relaxing and unwinding. In addition, we can provide a brunch food hamper, made from local ingredients where possible, from the beautiful Bega Valley! Gluten free options catered for (see 'extras'). Campsites are limited and exclusive, either camping with your own tent plus tree hammock provided, or book our three person tree tent. We also have a tent site. Parking is allocated on-site, with a short 300m walk to your campsite, so hiking gear is recommended. Please let your host know if you have a 2WD or 4WD car. 1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

100 acres with a mix of cleared and native bushland, including native wildflowers in season, near the head of the Shoalhaven River. Come and enjoy our property. Bring your swag, tent, camper trailer or caravan. Set up, relax, enjoy the natural environment and wildlife as you let the world go by. See eagles soaring above, echidnas, rosella and lots of kangaroos. Or, for the more adventurous, explore the nearby area and take a walk to the Big Hole and the Marble Arch. The kids will love playing in the Shoalhaven River (1km from property) where the rocks are ever changing as they are washed downstream. Wyanbene Caves are approx 6.5km away. Whilst you can enter the start of the cave, a permit is required for real cave exploration. We are centrally located being 90km from Cooma (partially dirt), 140km from Canberra and 100km from the coast at Batemans Bay. The closes town of Braidwood is 45km away. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

Approximately 50mins from Cooma via Numerella. 125acres of mainly grass land with pockets of native bush. Borders onto a newly acquired 1300 acre NPWS reserve soon to be available for exploring TBA. Little Green creek flows through the property with small water falls and rapids. Regular snow falls during winter at an altitude of up to 1200m. Spectacular views to the east including Wadbilliga peak and razorback range. Explore Tuross falls and the cascades nearby. Fly fish Kybeyan river. Perfect. It was picturesque, calm and secluded. The perfect week, friendly calf, cows and horses which children loved. Beautiful bell bird sounds and bowerbirds, an array of wallabies. Julie was so accomodating and gave us alot of space yet made us feel comfortable reassuring we knew all the best local spots! Thank you so much for having us!

We had an incredible stay at this remote private campsite. The journey in requires a 4x4, but that only adds to the sense of adventure — and the reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The property is stunning, and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing firewood and a great fire pit setup that made our nights around the fire really special. The campsite itself sits in a peaceful meadow bordered by a small creek, and it honestly feels like your own piece of wilderness. The creek is something truly special — crystal-clear water with beautiful swimming holes that are perfect for cooling off or just relaxing and taking in the scenery. It was one of the highlights of our stay. If you’re looking for privacy, natural beauty, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, this place is unbeatable. We can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to come back.

It was a stunning location. It had one of the clearest rivers I have ever seen. We felt completely secluded in our own private oasis. The kids loved waking up to the sound of the cows mooing on our doorstep. There was plenty of wildlife to view and plenty of space to explore. We loved camping here. Perfect for exploring the area and chilling at the same time. It feels more like a rural campsite than a bush camp being a stone’s throw away from the main road. Super friendly and easy going hosts. Respectful owners mindful of our dog’s needs. Enjoyed chatting with both Julie and David. Dunny is exactly that - a dunny! But we didn’t mind. And our pooch loved the place. Stunning views and amazing campfire set up, both for warming up and cooking. So much wood provided, makes the nightly fee very much worth it. Be wary of ticks, we saw several and I got bitten but we were prepared and so wasn’t an issue. A great experience and wonderful hosts!

On arrival we were greeted by our host Peter who was a happy friendly man and a terrific host. He escorted us to 2 sites adjacent a lovely babbling creek. Once selected, he quickly whizzed the mower around and we had a freshly mown level site for our pop-top caravan. We enjoyed our 8 night’s, sitting by the creek listening to the sound of nature. Loved having the cattle and potty calves around. Really nice landscape. We enjoyed chatting with Peter about his property and plans. We also met his wife Anya and their kids.
