Silky Oaks is one of Australia’s largest private collections of Native Australian plants. Set on 30 acres; there is 3 lakes, manicured gardens, a cut-flower plantation, rainforest, and orchard to wander. Our Glamping Van's are Set direct on lakefront and our BYO camp spots are in the flower plantation. Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass cow paddocks, mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property. The area is a mix of houses, hobby farmers, homes on acreage, equestrian centres, produce growers and National Park. There is a glorious look-out in the National Park overlooking the Warragamba dam. Some days it is swept with clouds; enveloping you into the majestic heavens. It’s an easy ten min drive away. There is local towns 15mins drive for eating out and getting coffee.

EASTER 2025 FULLY BOOKED ANZAC WEEKEND FULLY BOOKED Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. Please note: Due to our location bookings may be canceled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course, Hipcamp credits will be arranged.

Hello Campers! Our beautiful property is located on 20 acres in a convenient location just 10 minutes out of Campbelltown. The property is a short drive to Dharawal National Park, and a great 'home base' while you explore everything the area has to offer. There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. If you would like to be further away you can camp near our dam which is becoming more popular as of late .If you would like to be totally tucked away in the bush we also have spots totally surrounded by bush, please let us know when booking. There is a hot outdoor shower and a toilet on site just a short walk from all the camp sites. This spot suits groups who want to get away. We offer our property to people who want to get out of the congestion of Sydney and enjoy a peaceful getaway. Guests can enjoy large mowed areas for recreation, they have use of a large undercover hall, there is a great campfire area with some firewood provided ( extra can be collected). Guests have use of the 3 buildings in this area which are Hall area, BBQ kitchen and bathrooms. There is a designated area for pitching tents or camp trailers. Guests have direct access for swimming to Webbs Creek this area is a shared area. Camp Bunya is a private campsite for group bookings. We offer our site to guests who want privacy and seclusion, enjoy the great outdoors and choose to make a little extra noise without upsetting the neighbours. Water access for swimming is available at your own beach. Toilets and shower amenities are provided. There is no power or cooking facilities, however a BBQ can be provided for hire. The campsite features mowed areas for camping with a large undercover area with a fireplace.

A fabulous stay on the farm. Easy to find, secure, with very good access for all types of vehicles to the well fenced off 30 acres (campers limited to 30 acre camp area). Flat areas suitable for vans, caravans, car camping, tenting with the best smelling cleanest portaloos I have seen. Wayne's hospitality goes above and beyond making all campers feel welcome and settled - he's quite the character. Self sufficiency is needed to truly enjoy the space as described, camp fires allowed. All amenities, activities, walks are close by in Moss Vale and Almeryston area. Farm noise and life evident all around with an array of animals from camels to donkeys, sheep, cows, birdlife. Come prepared for all weather conditions as no cover at site, no water access or showers. A perfect taste of at one with nature and star gazing at a safe camp in the beautiful surrounds of the southern highlands. Mittagong about 20+ km away and great access to the hume highway nearby. Highly recommended even though a little pricey. 🚜👍😊👌🚜

This place is great! We dont normally do reviews but felt had to in this instance as Wayne was such a lovely host and made us feel so welcome. He also provided us with a leaflet on local attractions which was nice touch. The campsite is big enough for everyone to spread out, and the portaloos are the best we’ve ever used. Bonus that it’s so close to Mittagong town centre for supplies etc. Can’t fault this place. Will be back!

What a spot! We had a group of 8 with 4 different camping arrangements a combo of camper trailers, tents and roof top tents. It housed us all perfectly. The public toilet amenities and camp sinks were very handy and tidy. The river is absolutely gorgeous and so clear. We floated and paddle boarded down, slowly walking back up stream. There are a lot of fire spots to choose from however some are very close to each other. We had another group of about 10 about 50m away however they could have come closer if they chose to which wouldn’t have been fun. The sites were clean and in great locations! Phil was so easy to communicate with and the toilets got tidied daily. From what we could see the glamping tents/showers/toilets and cooking facilities that come with them were pretty epic too. Liked how there was recycling and bins on the property. Thanks for a fab stay.

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape. The White Gum Forest Retreat offers campsites nestled in a white gum forest, not far from a beautiful trickling creek. There is access to toilets and a small dam near campsites for water supply for showers where required. For a truly memorable experience we recommend hiring our function space, White Gum Forest Functions, which is available for day visitors as well as guests staying overnight in our cabins and campsites. Why not book your next special family group gathering, milestone birthday or wedding here! The function space can cater for up to 50 guests, please contact us with your time and date requirements before booking. Feel spoilt in the midst of beautiful waratahs, grevilleas and ferns, watching camels grazing in the adjacent paddock. It's like being on a safari! Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.
