Bellandre Park

2 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents3060 acres · Molong, NSW
We are Marilyn and Peter, we own, live and run a mixed farming business from this beautiful land, located in the Central Tablelands NSW. The country varies between undulating and steep land and has 7 km of double frontage Bell River running through it. The river can range from rapidly flowing to the more usual steady flowing and is most often very clear. The river has numerous swimming spots, some with a rocky base, and some with sand. The winding river and the varying countryside is incredibly peaceful and beautiful and is a perfect retreat for those looking to disconnect and relax. The river has its origin near Orange and is also fed into by many springs. Weandre Creek runs in the backcountry and winds into the Bell River. Our comfortable Hut is situated on an elevated spot looking down on the river with a graduated road leading down. It has everything you need for a relaxing, recharging stay in nature. The Hut can accommodate up to 4 people, however, you also have the option for up to 6 additional guests to set up swags, tents, or a camper trailer nearby. There is space next to the Hut, or for those with a 4WD, there are some lovely camping sites down by the river. We also offer sites for those looking for a self-contained camping site, in a beautiful location. We love the solitude, the endless bush walks, swimming, and being immersed in nature. We are confident you will too. We also have a lovely art gallery on the property, and for a small fee and prior arrangement, you are welcome to come and take a look. From our farm, it is 60 km to Orange with all its wineries, food festivals, and many attractions. Wellington is 40 km and boasts the Wellington Caves. Dubbo is 90 km and is a big inland city and boasts the Western Plains Zoo. We are so glad to let you know we have a new (but intentionally rustic) structure which houses a shower powered by gas and solar with gravity fed water. Showers need to be short because water supply is limited. In a separate space is a gas BBQ and sink. This is pictured in our latest photos. This building also looks down on the Bell river which looks sensational at the moment due to all the rain.

'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! Say hi to our resident sheep! We have a flock of gorgeous sheep (and their guard alpacas!) enjoying the delicious pastures. There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma). Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area or you can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Please make sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines by washing and sanitising hands especially when using shared areas. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in our top hill paddock (if gates are open) to take in the views. You are welcome to camp anywhere in the paddock - please note these sites are only accessible on foot, please do not drive into the paddock. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available. We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. There is a power pole close by to plug in to. Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Orangewood Farm, Pool, Hilltop View

3 sites · RVs2 acres · Forest Reefs, NSW
Situated upon a hill top, "Orangewood", is a 44 acre working cattle farm in the southern Orange wine region. When the holiday home has NO booked guests, we make this available for 1 lucky camper group. You park your camper/van or RV away from the house for privacy, peace and quiet on the Western side of the property. No one else will be at the property except occasional day maintenance people on a separate driveway to house. Have a lovely and peaceful stay on a farm yet you also get to wander around the gardens and experience the HUGE pool, many grassed and seating areas to relax with the wonderful views of the countryside. Kangaroos are now venturing closer to the house and there's lots of birdlife. Kid friendly too, kids can play on tree swings, ride bikes supplied in the shed, enjoy the wood play area. *** You will need to request your dates and I will accept within 24 hours if there is availability ** We have to manage these requests manually to avoid house booking clashes. *** What you need to know: 1. No guests will be staying in the house whilst you are camping. The owners however may be there for the day if cleaning or doing maintenance, but we will keep out of your way. 2. Best availability tends to be weekdays as the house usually has weekend bookings. 3. The Pool is only OPEN from Dec to April. It is not heated except for the solar blankets. Shallow ends 1m with the middle of pool being 2m deep. Brand new blue liner installed last year and glass pool fence. 4. You are welcome to use all the outdoor entertaining areas although BBQ, utility room with laundry, toilet, multi purpose sink and very basic kitchenette is an additional cost. 5. We can't guarantee a resort style clean pool as this is a farm and leaves blow in and bugs. It gets serviced twice a week so there could be someone to pop by and check it during your stay. 6. Whilst the property is 44 acres in total, only a few acres is useable due to the cattle paddocks. 7. Optional BBQ, electricity power and optional utility/laundry room with toilet (all additional cost). There's no guarantees we can provide the extras if we aren't given at least a few days notice. Campers that are completely self contained are easier to accept with short notice.

Red Rattler Retreat, Near Mudgee.

1 site · Lodging7 acres · Windeyer, NSW
Please note we have new discounted summer rates till 1st March 2025. Unique Rural Train Carriage Accommodation at Windeyer, near Mudgee. The Red Rattler Retreat is a new, beautiful, and unique accommodation offering for lovers of a true rural escape. Set in a 1928 Red Rattler Train Carriage, in the gold mining village of Windeyer, 30 minutes from Mudgee on an all tar road, the Red Rattler Retreat rewards guests with a comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable break away from the very day. Stay in a beautifully converted 1928 Red Rattler Train Carriage. The carriage started life after it was shipped over from Walsh Island Dockyards, at Newcastle, when it was sent to work in Sydney. A comprehensive history of the our Red Rattler is in the carriage. It was retired from service in 1991, and bought by another Mudgee couple. It was brought to their property and renovated to become truck driver accommodation, with a shower and toilet, a couple of rooms and an office. When we bought that property in 2007, we again made more renovations, and made it into our offices, tea room, shower and toilet, for our earth moving company. We used her like this for about 6 years and when we had finally out grown her, she was used for storage. In 2020 we decided to move her to Windeyer and convert her to short stay accommodation. We hope you like our renovation. The Red Rattler is now in her final resting place, located in the gold mining village of Windeyer, 30 minutes from Mudgee on an all tar road, nearly opposite the local Gold and Fleece Hotel. Windeyer is a well known gold mining area, dating back to the 1850’s. I have provided a couple of gold pans and a small pick ( stored on top of the fridge) so you can go for a fossick in the creek opposite our driveway. I have also provided 2 adult pushbikes, in case you want to go for a leisurely ride around Windeyer or off to the pub for a quiet ale or two, ( helmets are located on top of the fridge also) The Red Rattler is suitable for adults and children, offering 3 bedrooms with queen size beds sleeping up to 6 people. Each room has its own reverse cycle air conditioner, plus another in the living area. We provide all linen and towels, as well as pillows, mattress protectors, blankets and quilts. We have now installed Starlink Wireless internet, so Wifi is free and available with a password. With all the conveniences of a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a separate launderette (please see note below about water usage), and a very modern kitchen (although small), it has everything that will be needed including an oven and stove top, a full size fridge, and a microwave. The lounge room, dining room and kitchen are all open plan within the carriage. The veranda is 4 metres wide front and back and 2.4 metres on either end. There is plenty of room for guests to relax and unwind. A barbecue adds to a great outdoor dining experience. A beautiful and rustic silo bar (with additional barbecue) is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beverage and watch the sun go down. There is also a fire pit (when weather and laws permit). The big steel door into the Silo Bar is actually a goal door from the old Mudgee Lock Up. If you look carefully on the inside of the door, you can make out some names scratched into the old paint. I have provided a bag of firewood and there are firelighters and matches under the kitchen sink. Extra wood for the fire pit can be gathered from the Red Rattler Retreat property or the bush block next door. When you don't wish to BBQ or cook onsite, the local Windeyer Gold and Fleece Hotel is only 250m from the front gate and has hearty counter meals available Thursday and Friday night, and Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. The Bushlands Caravan Park General Store, is also only 280m down the road (next door to the Hotel), and has all your basic needs. (Open early til 6pm). If you love stargazing, Mudgee Observatory is only 20 minutes away towards Mudgee. They are open most weekends, depending on weather. Give John a call on 0428560039, if you want to make a booking.
